Velosurance is the best. Couldn’t be happier.

Insurance is one of those things we buy and hope to never use. I got mine because I travel with my bike and even locked up or in the hotel it could be stolen.
Little did I know an accident would be the reason for my claim. Went down hard on a multi use path. Tore up a lot of equipment, skin, and kit.
After filing a claim I was contacted quickly. We discussed what happened and what was covered. We settled the claim on the first call and I had a check shortly after.
I looked into using my homeowners insure but the agent was clueless. I found Velosurance and could not be happier.

Cyclist happy with claims process

I was extremely satisfied when I had to file a claim for an accident that damaged my bike frame. After submitting the bike shops report and estimate, a check arrived in the mail within a few days. I also appreciate having roadside service available. They clearly are an honest and reputable company.

They did pay out, but I took there word for stated value. I build my own bikes, for years. So is no receipt to speak of for bike. I paid for $3500, they reimbursed me for under $2500.

Required for bike racing

I have been using Velosurance for a few years now and have received nothing but top-notch service. Thankfully I have only had to file claims a couple of times and each time I have received very fast reimbursements for both medical and bike repair costs. I would recommend them to any bike racer.

I got Velosurance insurance for my new Aventon bike.

I got Velosurance insurance for my new Aventon ebike because I was concerned about theft. About a month later, I crashed the bike and needed extensive repairs. Filing a claim with Velosurance was quick and easy and they reimbursed me promptly when the repairs were done. Glad I have Velosurance!

Amazing service!! Ebike fully covered

I had a very expensive E bike stolen when I was on a trip to Minneapolis. I filed a claim and got a response right away. The process was easy and my Ebike was covered fully.. I am so grateful that I bought this insurance. Otherwise I would’ve been out 11,000. Instead, I am able to buy a new bike and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the level of service.

I had an incident occur that cost 1,250…

I had an incident occur that cost 1,250 dollars to have repaired. I was able to find a place that would do the repairs in my local area instead of going out of town to get repairs done.

And Velosurance assisted by making it possible to have those repairs done.

I ride a Quattrovelo (Qwetrovelo)

I don't keep track of the specific day that it occurred in my mind....but I do when it comes to the paperwork of the incident.

I absolutely could not be more pleased

I absolutely could not be more pleased, unless, of course, if Hurricane Ian never happened!

I emailed as soon as I was informed of the extent of damage at my Florida home and got a call back on the weekend following the event. I had my check in hand the week after the hurricane. Never in my life have I experienced such wonderful service with no hassles and caring people!

I'm not sure about anything right now, including whether or when I'll replace the bike, but I'm 100% sure where I'll get my insurance for a new bike!

Unbelievably Good

Bought an insurance policy on a new e-bike on a Sunday. I couldn't tell you why I chose to do that, I've never had a bike stolen or crashed, and I tend to take my chances on things just working out. But this time I didn't.

Good thing, too, because someone stole it two days later on the following Wednesday. The claim was accepted and a check issued on Thursday. I was expecting some pushback on the process, but there was none. I sent in a photo of the bike and the cut lock, a copy of the police report and a signed statement, and that was it.

I will never again own a bike without having it covered by Velosurance.

Happy Customer

I recently went through a claim that unfortunately ended in my bike being a total loss. Luckily, I had peace of mind knowing that I had Velosurance. They took care of me every step of the way and it really felt like they care about their customers. Is it really possible to be happy with your insurance company at the end of the day? I think yes, I’ll be a loyal returning customer.

Unfortunately I have had to use…

Unfortunately I have had to use Velosurance multiple times. I am so grateful they exist! They are professional and prompt. I was able to get help with my medical bills and a check to help buy a new bike every time. This insurance is worth every penny!!!

Don't expect a refund after paying for…

Don't expect a refund after paying for a full year in advance and canceling early. They'll say they are charging you the premium to cancel the policy.

This is absolutely not true, we do not charge the premium to cancel a policy. Our policy has a minimum earned premium which is detailed in our FAQ and you can't purchase a policy without agreeing to that condition. It's literally above the purchase button.

Attempted to turn off auto renew on my policy by using the account management on the website. Upon filing a claim later that year I was told that my policy was actually "Canceled" and no longer active. I inquired on why I hadn't received a prorated refund then, for my prepaid policy, and was told that no refunds are allowed. I can't figure out why anyone would want this feature, but essentially if you click a button on the website you will lose all your coverage and this company keeps all of your money.

When you canceled the policy auto renewal, your account was changed to an invoice account and an invoice was mailed directly to you well in advance of your policy renewal . When an invoice is not paid the policy will be canceled for non-payment of the premium. There would be no refund of premium that wasn't paid.

I'm honestly so impressed with this…

I'm honestly so impressed with this insurance. My entire fork broke (around $1k) and couldn't be warrantied. Velosurance got my claim resolved and a check sent out in time to go on a volunteer bike trip I had planned. They truly saved the day, and my wallet! I'm honestly shocked. I also had a rep named Dan who was so kind and we even had a great laugh on the phone. Highly recommend!

Your representative

Your representative, Dan Madsen, was very efficient and fast on following up on my claim. This was the first time I had insurance on my bike and wondered all along about if I ever have a claim, how well it was going to be handled. Well, it was handled so well that I am recommending Velosurance to all my cyclist friends! Once I receive my new bike, I will be adding Velosurance insurance to it. Thanks to Dan and Velosurance for successfully taking care of my claim on a timely matter.

Velosurance saved me

Velosurance saved me. I was out on a ride and had what seemed like a very mild crash, turns out the chainstay was cracked. Velosurance was very prompt in responding and working with me. They totaled the bike since the frame was long out of production and a replacement rear triangle could not be found. The payment was very prompt and allowed me to quickly get back out and riding. I cannot recommend them and their service enough.

Excellent Product & Service

Over the weekend, I purchased an all-inclusive policy to protect my Super73rx e-bike and accessories against theft and damage after talking at length with David from Velosurance and through extensive research. I've spoken to David, on multiple occasions and he has been incredible by answering the many questions I had and to make me feel very comfortable.

Hopefully, I will never need to exercise my policy but if I do, I am more than confident that I will be 100% covered!

If you're looking at protecting your sizable investment, look no further than Velosurance and ask for David, who will take care of you!

Velosurance - Two claims - both paid - happy client

In three years I made two Velosurance claims and both were paid within a week and for exactly the cost of repair to my bike. I ride an $8k bike and having insurance helps me sleep better at night knowing that this insurance will reimburse me if someone broke into my garage and stole my bike. Highly recomend you don't ride a high value bike without insurance..

Airline damaged by bike during my…

Airline damaged by bike during my flight to an event in a different state. It was a carbon bike and it was completely ruined. I took the pictures as evidence and submitted them along with the claim. Velosurance reimbursed me within a week which was very welcome.
