Helpful as ever in the changing of my bike, as I bought a r1300gsa but struggled with the height, so after only 5 weeks I ask to change to the r1300gs
Barry Silverthorne again worked it all out for me and everyone at BMW Motorad Sunderland enabled me to change over in 2 days

Great buying experience
What a great experience buying a bike from Vertu Honda, Stockton. The service and attention from my initial enquiry to collecting the bike was second to none. Kenn and Chris were friendly, helpful and supportive throughout the process. I had spotted the bike I wanted, and I was able to specify a couple of additional requirements, which were addressed to my total satisfaction. I had to travel over two hours to collect the bike, so everything needed to be just right when I got there. I was absolutely satisfied with the whole buying experience and would wholeheartedly recommend buying your new or used bike from these guys. Oh, and to top it off, I collected the bike on 'free butty' day!

Collected my new F800GS from Vertu Shipley yesterday. I was dealt with by Oliver who was excellent throughout. He went through all the stages professionally and thoroughly. Just bought an F 900r from Vertu Shipley. Amazingly it was a smooth experience considering there was only one sales person in, the day I did the deal. The staff do a great job considering the pressure they are working under.
I had a great hangmdover from Rick. Unfortunately one of the only members of staff left from the Alan Jeffries dynasty.

I had visited in the past and took my wife along too so that she could try out the pillion setup. Have now done three hundred miles, eighty of these with my wife who finds it very comfy. So all good.

I recently purchased a brand new BMW R1300 GS from Vertu BMW Shipley, and I can honestly say it was the best motorcycle buying experience I’ve had in over 20 years of riding.
Having owned bikes from brands like Ducati, Aprilia, and KTM, I’ve dealt with plenty of dealerships over the years—but this experience stood out for all the right reasons. A huge part of that was down to Oli Wetheril, who handled my order from start to finish.
Oli was exceptional throughout the entire process—knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and genuinely engaging. He took the time to walk me through every detail of the R1300 GS, answered all my questions with confidence, and made sure I felt completely comfortable with my purchase. Nothing ever felt rushed or transactional; instead, it felt like dealing with someone who truly cares about both the product and the customer experience.
From initial enquiry through to delivery, everything was smooth, transparent, and professionally handled. The level of communication was excellent, and I was kept informed at every stage.
