The sales staff, well Andy Hallums, as he served me, was very relaxed and informative. I felt he wanted me to have a car that I'd would be really happy with. There was absolutely no pressure to buy or take out finance, but all my various options were explained clearly. He has a great sense of humour too, which made the whole experience feel as if I was dealing with a friend and put me at my ease. He is still there at the end of the phone if I have any more queries, and nothing is too much trouble for him. I would highly recommend this dealership. The car is great too!

Avoid Servicing Dept
They may be good at selling you a vehicle but the servicing aspect is a frustrating experience. Any issues require multiple visits and an explanation of the problem with each new member of staff involved. For example, I had a dashcam fitted by them to avoid any issues with the electronics. It still does not work properly after a year. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I highly recommend Andy Hallums of Hyundai Vertu Exeter, for his exceptional service. His approach was very friendly, and made my wife and I feel very comfortable in the adventure we were about to embark on.
Andy made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable, thanks to his openness, knowledge and expertise of the Tucson NLine we were enquiring about.
When we made enquiries about taking out finance for a short period, he quickly addressed our concerns. Reassuring us that other customers before us have asked the same question as money is tied into a time line. Also we wouldn’t incur a hefty settling cost. This made the sale even more appealing.
Then came the test drive, wow what a car, Andy knew this car inside out, talked us through the tech side of this vehicle, how the dynamics have changed. It drives amazing, best car we’ve driven, very comfortable, and comes with all the modifications we require.
Andy then took us through each stage of purchase at a nice pace, enabling us to grasp the concept of the extras we enquired about. He gave us peace of mind, by explaining the cost of the market to repair against protection plans. It was reassuring knowing the extra packages we took out was just another way of protecting the vehicle and furthering the vehicle’s longevity, at a reasonable cost. At the end of this, printed out all documentation for us.
Then there was the last walk around, there were a few minor faults in & out of the vehicle, true to his word, Andy erased all these when we went to pick our new car up. He saw us viewing the vehicle as we were early, came out to greet us, as he had done before with a hand shake & welcome. Asked us were we happy with what we were looking at, does it meet our approval. To us this was his commitment to customer care, very conscientious and takes pride in his role.
If anyone reading this is looking for a new car, I highly recommend going to Hyundai Vertu in Exeter, and book an appointment with Andy to experience the first class service we did.

Nearly a missed deal
We were not put under any pressure and the whole experience was very pleasant.
We left the showroom without buying a car but returned the next morning after due consideration of the deal on offer.
All the staff were very helpfull.

Exceptional buying experience
Bought a used Hyundai i20. Car was great condition and exactly what i was looking for. The whole experience buying from Vertu was exceptional. Even though it wasn't a new or a high value car Daniel really made me feel I was a valued customer. Car was even delivered free with a full tank of petrol. If you feel that buying from a main dealer maybe paying higher prices I would strongly suggest you think twice. Thanks Vertu.
