I had a service booked in for 8.30am and chose the wait service due to no courtesy cars being available and because I couldn’t arrange to get picked up. I had informed the department on my self check in the previous day that my car was an NHS fleet car, I arrived at 8.20am. I received a text with the vehicle health check stating the outcome at 10.40am stating I definitely needed a new tyre and the other 3 were advisory’s and I also needed a tyre alignment. I informed the staff that it was a NHS fleet car and they paid for the work, I was told she would have to check with NHS fleet that they could proceed with the tyres after I again explained it was an NHS fleet car.
I asked for an update at 13.30 and was told something about the tyre machine not working and they were having to use next doors machine. I was then told the person doing my car had taken my 4 tyres and another 4 tyres across. She then came back to me and said all tyres were on and it just needed the alignment doing but the lad was an apprentice and couldn’t do it. I had to ask for updates constantly, no one came near me the whole time I was there. I was there for a total of 7 hours which seems excessive. I never had anything to eat all day because I wasn’t aware I would be there past lunch. It has put me off getting another Range Rover in the future. @rangerover

Exceptional service
This is the sixth Land Rover we have purchased, so we have been dealing with the team at Vertu Land Rover Bolton for many years. We have returned time and time again because the service has always been exceptional, with the staff consistently going above and beyond to look after us. In particular, Declan, Julie, Sarah, Harrison, Danny & Olivia more recently.
The team are professional, friendly and extremely helpful, always on hand should we ever have any issues. The salespeople are knowledgeable, approachable and never pushy or vague. They don't focus on the hard sell; instead, they offer honest advice and help you make the right decision.
We have purchased several vehicles from Declan, who is always fantastic and a real asset to the company.
The service department, led by Harrison, have also never let us down. Harrison is always professional, friendly and helpful, and the whole team have consistently looked after us, resolving any issues quickly, efficiently and properly. Their commitment to customer service is another major reason why we have returned so many times.
It's reassuring to know that we can rely on the same high standard of service every time we purchase a new vehicle.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Vertu Land Rover Bolton to friends and family. A great team who genuinely look after their customers.

AVOID AT ALL COST
Vertu Bolton on the back of zero driving performance issues but hearing noise from the engine advised we needed to change the timing chain.
Once the timing chain was changed for a total of £2,800 we experienced fault after fault. 5 days post changing the timing bet - the coolant light and engine light came on despite coolant being full. We were advised these are separate to the timing chain and forked out an additional £3K. It has been 9 months and in all we are 6.5K out of pocket and the car is unuseable. They want another 1.5k to run further diagnostics. Honestly this is a modern day scam/shake down. We are less 6.5k and on top of that no car to use or show for it.
Avoid this place at all costs. Any where with 35% bad reviews says alot. They will not own upto mistakes or errors. Best for you to try Nelson Range Rover in the first instance - avoid Bolton at all costs.

The purchase of the car in. July 25 was the best car purchase experience I’ve had thanks to Will ,
First service due and again the staff were an example of what customer service should be , friendly and professional
Having driven down from Dumfries ,Michelle firstly got me a coffee then booked the car in.
Then while I waited in the pleasant surroundings I was offered plenty of refreshments and Will who had initially dealt with the car purchase appeared and thanked me for bringing the car back down for service and a relaxed chat about how I was getting on with the car .
Car service and updates complete ,out to the car where to my surprise there was a small gift and card from Michell thanking me for coming down and wishing me a safe journey back . Brillant!
