I would stay clear of Vertu Bolton. Poor service and poor sales experience.
It takes them weeks to respond but only when you have chased them multiple times.
They fix a problem and make it worse. You then have to wait for weeks for them to resolve the problem. Poor.

Service - both vehicle and customer - so bad I'm selling my car and choosing a better brand.
The car went in for a service in June - five stressful and inconvenient months later, their repeated failed attempts at minor repairs have culminated in my car being rendered undriveable, having to be recovered 350 miles back to the workshop again and now needing a new diff! Every time it went in they caused another problem and no one could or would tell me what was happening with the car - I couldn't even get it in a roadworthy state to sell it. I have since had it recovered from Vertu to an independent garage. This has been the worst vehicle ownership experience I have ever had - by a country mile. Never again!
Update following Vertu response that our 'opinions differ' on the matter. There are no 'opinions', only statements of fact, as had been communicated in writing several times. I was sent out in a car after the service when you had not properly bled the brakes - this is documented on the next invoice when it was returned for further repair. The camera that you replaced was the completely wrong part and it had to be returned AGAIN because you hadn't fixed it and never checked it - this is again documented on the invoice. there were multiple failures for you to get the required parts in time for the booked repairs, despite having weeks of notice. Not opinion - FACT! Your further attempt to absolve yourselves of any accountability for this nightmare is not a surprise to me, even in the face of the hard evidence you generated and now appear to have forgotten about. As if my initial review was not warning enough for anyone considering using you - your response should seal the deal!

Had a major service done on my Range Rover but it has been logged down online as an interim service. I've rang twice about getting this changed, both times they said they would, but nothing's been done

Horrendous experience with Vertu Bolton.
1) Car goes in with faulty handles and boot under LR warranty
2) Vertu ring to say they are behind on work and asked if I needed the car back anytime soon
3) Vertu promise the vehicle would be ready for collecting almost every day of the week and messed me round for 7 days
4) Told by Vertu that they cannot find a fault with the boot
5) Go to collect the car, it’s full of greasy hand prints all over every window and door - get home and find the car absolutely covered in scratches, scuffs and even a crack on the door frame.
6) Complain to management and asked to take the car back in to the centre
7) Car is taken back and both service and deputy service manager listen to what needs fixing
8) 3 whole weeks later I am told the boot still cannot be fixed (despite them seeing it fault in front of their very eyes) but they have fixed all the scratches and cracks
9) Arrive to collect the car, absolutely horrendous condition still. Grease marks and dirt all over the car, clearly has not been cleaned since the first time. All scratches and cracks still present - What on earth have they been doing for 3 weeks? I seriously doubt the car was ever touched during this period.
10) Complain to the service desk and ask to see the Service Manager
11) Listens to my complaints and says they will finally fix it. Claims new trims had been fitted but they were all still damaged…
12) I complain to the GM of Vertu Bolton again and am told that the service team have ordered new parts to replace the damaged ones.
13) Currently still without my car a month down the line and it’s in worse condition than it went in
14) Asked for some form of compensation and asked if they would value my car to take it off my hands
15) Given a quote lower than Motorway, WeBuyAnyCar etc - insulting
16) Not been offered any form of compensation by management
17) They have therefore currently taken my car, damaged and de-valued it and currently can’t even correct their damage. This should be illegal and a complaint will be going into the Ombudsman.
DO NOT USE VERTU BOLTON

So disappointed with the service at this dealership. Had car 7 months when it broke down on M6. So many issues followed. Firstly, JLR technician diagnosed the problem with my car at the roadside before it was taken to Vertu Bolton. It then took 5 weeks for them to diagnose the same problem which they were already told about. Whilst my car was with them the customer service and communication was poor and totally unexpected from a JLR dealer. I have no complaints with JLR as they provided a courtesy car through Landrover Assist. I was rudely told by Vertu Bolton that there were no courtesy cars available from them. They didn’t give a toss and I’d only bought this car from them in January this year. Alarm bells should have rung when there were loads of issues with the car at the point of sale. Steer clear of them. Totally unprofessional and a disgrace to JLR name

One star only because you cannot leave anything lower.
JLR stands for Jokers, Liars, Robbers
I WOULD NOT buy another car (or should I say pup) from this dealership ever again.
This car has to be the most expensive pup I have ever purchased. From day one of saying yes I will take it, it has been a disaster. Took three times to get the invoice correct and that is only because I had to contact them three times. On collection of the car all personal information was left on for all to see. NO service done on it, no cleaning, it was a quick we’ve sold it get it out pronto. NO GDP rules here obviously. The one taking my car in to have a wheel changed they cleaned out my car, moving all my personal items and stole a precious and sentimental item I have always had in my cars for over 23yrs. They have liars and thieves working for them in the valeting department as it was very strange that they did not know what had happened to. May I point out that it only went in for a tyre change and nothing else.
The service girl who was/ is looking after my issues at the moment is in a dream world. She stands there with her hand in her pocket twirling her hair whilst saying “yeah I think it has been done” and obviously yeah it has been looked at. Was told to call out Jaguar assist as they would take my car in sooner but after a conversation with them they are nothing to do with them and what I have been told it utter lies. I have asked for a report which is now going on for two weeks and still nothing, obviously she cannot be bothered.
I hate this dealership and it grates me to step foot in this place.
On another note for my second jag, when it went in for a service the service team must not care as the car was left with all the contents of the boot just thrown all over and the back parcel shelf just left hanging, not put back.
What you get for your money here is not worth anything, they take your money and that’s the end of the niceties.
I have put off leaving my review but enough is enough.

Do not use this garage for service or repair
Charged me £1500 for a service and gave car back with faulty rear diff from when they changed the oil. Wanted £3500 for a new diff .Local Jaguar specialist drained the diff correctly and fixed fault for £120. Currently processing complaint through Motor Ombudsman - avoid garage at all cost.
Already complained to dealer in writing ' was fobbed off and told to go to Motoring Ombudsman so won't be contacting them again

Purchased an evoque from Verdi at Bolton. The process was painless and Louise Ratcliffe was more than helpful.
When she went on holiday the staff that covered were just as helpful.
No complaints or concerns and easy to contact for queries after the sale.

Had a breakdown recovered to them. They quoted between 3 and 5 weeks to look at but said they did breakdowns quicker. Three weeks came and went and now chasing. Service answers maybe 1 in 3 calls if that. Given dates that went, told I was next in line, three days later nothing. Three calls in to service and no one answered and no call back.
So here I am without a vehicle for nearly 4 weeks now, can't speak to anyone about it and when I do I'll probably get another date they'll miss. Absolutely disgraceful.

Shambles of a company. Had an absolute shocker with them last year where I had to get their senior management team involved because of the complete lack of service. Back in today (more fool me) for service. Been waiting over an hour and car has not even moved into the garage.

Reply from Vertu Motors - Land Rover Bolton
Very poor. I ordered my vehicle in early 2021 and received it in November 2022.
Since then it has been in the garage 6 times. Now with an engine fault.
It’s currently been sat at Vertu since 30th April and they’ve literally done NOTHING to it.
If I phone for an update, it’s rare services actually answer and I get told someone will phone back. This never happens.
I was hung up on 4times last week whilst waiting to be ‘transferred’ to service.
I phone today after being told I will get an update, which never happens, be to told that the parts are STILL on ‘critical back order’ and could take another 4/5weeks then the time for work to be carried out.
If I complain I get told basically to stop moaning because they’ve given me a courtesy car. The insurance excess is double mine, it’s got a dent in the passenger door which was there when they gave it to me and the back of the car & boot is covered in dog hair. (Not my dogs hair either) but at least it’s road worthy unlike the last one I was given which actually had a tag on the keys stating it wasn’t to be driven and had emergency lights flashing all over the dash.
Worst service ever!

I was sold a car at veru bolton branch by a man named daniel robinson. From start to finish he was attentive, helping me through out the process, and was a pleasure to deal with. Anything i asked was met, he went above and beyond to make sure i was happy with my purchase, the experience was second to none. I would definitely buy from vertu bolton again, and anyone wanting a great service and a great experience ask for Daniel robinson on sales you wont be Disappointed.
Avoid. Gross negligence and possible fraud. Purchased from LR VERTU BOLTON and drove away a ‘Approved used LR Defender ( ML70 VBA) 260 miles home after been given falsely completed 162 Multi point inspection report and lied to about work carried out by sales staff . Document was signed and completed by LR Bolton Techincan but car was never checked. This was verified by LR road side assistance and a local LR Dealership within 7 days of purchase . Car condemned not road safe! To name a few, Loose brake cable & leaking brake fluid which could have caused a serious accident to myself and my family , failed engine (needs new one) 5 failed tyres ( not road safe ) software failures DtCs , rodent damage underneath , crashing entertainment system . Work required was so bad LR warranty suspended the warranty policy because LR Vertu Bolton knowingly didn’t do any checks/ repairs before selling it. Took almost 2 and half months , after involving Trading standards & The Motor ombudsmen before LR Bolton agreed to reimburse me the money I had paid. During this time no courtesy car was issued, no compensation. They rely on you not noticing any issues within the first 28 days so LR Warranty can pick up the bill but they won’t always do this , as proven .
Avoid them at all costs. They have a fancy showroom , fancy suits but no integrity.

Shocking service. At 20,000 miles my car had a fault which rendered it undriveable. At just over 30,000 miles I had yet another fault which again rendered the car undriveable. I was left in a situation whereby it could not be looked at for 6 weeks. No alternate cars available because they were too busy. Interestingly a member of the service team told me that they were busy due to the number of cars with quality issues. I was also told that I should expect to have a fault with my car every 10,000 miles…. Never experienced that with any other brand I have driven! I went straight to the Audi garage and bought a Q3. Luckily I managed to sell my evoque to a dealer (broken). Never again would I consider buying a JLR car.
Additional update following the response below. I provided the details as requested by email and have never heard anything back. Guess their online response is just for show!

Despicable service. Ignored calls, not replying to emails, cancelled appointments and absolutely no information on when the part might be available. They originally said that the car was not safe to drive but that quickly changed to "ok to drive" when they were unable to provide a courtesy vehicle.
The car is my only way of getting my disabled 4 year old son to medical appointments and they have no compassion or understanding. Avoid at all costs!

Utter scam artists. Been trying to get things sorted for nearly 1 year.
The power steering rack went in my 6 year old F Pace. Took 7 weeks to fix (not even the issue). It was recovery into Vertu from my normal car garage - they charged me £70 to tell me its needs a steering rack installed by an approved dealer.
I would call them to check on progress and each time they would explain that someone went on holiday and forgot to hand over the vehicle on the system. Mean while im paying hundreds of pounds in taxi's ferrying two kids to school and nursery.
The invoice breakdown in no way reflects the conversations we had on the work that needed doing. The final bill did mind just not the work.
The cost of the electrical strip back was massively reduced and the diagnostic charge increased. Apparently Vertu needed £500 to confirm i needed a new steering rack. I didnt notice because the total value was the same as the overall quote which included fixing some electrical fault errors. I had the car back a matter of hours and the engine light comes on. I took it back to vertu who said it needed a new valve (electrical in nature) and then more investigatory work that would likely see another £1000+ bill. (Just paid £4500 on the steering Rack)
I took it for a second opinion. So back to my local garage who, informed me a filter was the issue not a valve and there were lots of new electrical faults. Vertu told me the cost of the filter was c. £16. But their quote was over £1000 for a different part!!!!!
Spoke to Vertu again. Took time off work to meet them with my new electri al faults. They told me they would sort for a discounted rate of c£200 - £16 for the filter and labour discounted. Then they ghosted me like indidnt exist. Until they wanted to offer me a service... or a personal invite to buy a new car.
Worst experience ever. Avoid at all costs
Utter disaster of a place.
****** FAIR UPDATE FOLLOWING VERTU'S RESPONSE.... NEVER DID CONTACT ME LIKE JAMES SUGGESTED THEY WOULD IN HIS REPLY. NOT A SURPRISE HE IS THE 5TH PERSON I HAVE SPOKEN TOO IN REGARDS TO THIS THAT PROMISES TO GET SOMEONE TO CALL ME BACK. BUY ANYTHING FROM ANYWHERE AS LONG AS IT ISNT THESE PEOPLE*****

Vertu Jaguar Bolton has to be one of the worst dealership experiences I've ever had. I made a service appointment well in advance as my vehicle is managed by Leaseplan, who had made the arrangements. On the day of my appointment, I was unexpectedly asked to pay a £60 fee for collection and drop off - something that was never mentioned when booking.
The lady I spoke with, Kate, was terrible and adamantly insisted this random charge existed despite my vehicle being booked in weeks earlier. After pushing back, they eventually removed the fee, but the issues kept coming. When my vehicle was returned the same day, they had failed to complete half of the requested work including a critical software update.
I rebooked for a few weeks out when their software update machine was down. On that rescheduled day, they simply left a voicemail canceling my pickup without any explanation. Absolutely unacceptable service.
Vertu Jaguar Bolton is rude, unreliable, and utterly useless. Based on other reviews, this is a common theme with this arrogant dealership. Don't waste your time here - go to a competent dealer like Sytner Stockport instead. I won't bother responding to the obligatory "manager" reply looking for more details - they've had their chance.
