Mixed experience: Professional sales process, but failed post sales commitments.
Pros: The initial buying process had clear positives. The sales executive, Andy McMillan, was extremely responsive and transparent during the negotiation phase. He provided detailed photos of the vehicle’s condition, highlighting stone chips on the F1 blade and bonnet, along with tyre tread measurements. Given the distance, I also appreciated the dealership's willingness to perform technical checks, such as testing the 12V battery health, confirming firmware patches, and providing a full service history for the 2023 Renault Megane E-Tech Iconic.
Cons: After some remote back and forth negotiating, I travelled four hours to Glasgow to collect my new car. Despite some hurdles arranging secure online payment links so I could complete the transaction via credit card, the actual handover went smoothly and I was soon heading back on the long drive home.
Unfortunately, the after sales support has been severely lacking. The car only came with one key. As a condition of the sale, I received written confirmation from management (Damian Bronshoff) that a second key card would be supplied and coded for me, as there was not enough time to get it ready before I travelled up.
Four months have now passed, and the branch has never contacted me to resolve this. My formal attempts to chase the outstanding key card agreement have been met with complete silence. Having to chase a dealer for basic written commitments is incredibly frustrating, and this lack of proactivity has entirely ruined the experience. I will be cautious about buying from Vertu in the future.

Outstanding Personal Customer Service
After looking for a very rare Nissan Juke Tekna Plus found at Vertu Glasgow and reserved
Lucky for us Thomas rang us to offer his help even sent us an introduction video which I thought was a great idea
After going through our questions and telling us about all the offers and the good part exchange deal we decided to order
Thomas and David kept us informed at all stages after Damien had offered support initially to Thomas but was going on holiday
After many more questions as moving from a Qashqai Tekna Plus and not exact same speciation , we picked the car up one week later after the car had been prepared
Collection went smoothly and made to feel like buying a brand new car, as it was immaculate and prepared well
All paperwork was carried out before I travelled to Glasgow to handover our trade in and pick up my wife’s new Juke
I would highly recommend this dealership a very refreshing change to the poor experience we found locally from Lookers Newcastle
Great personal service and attention to detail David and Thomas not forgetting Damien make a great team
Special mention to Thomas who is remarkably good and knowledgeable way beyond his years all are a credit to Vertu motors

Very happy with Vertu and my new Nissan.
From the moment I walked into the showroom until I drove away with my new car it was a seamless hassle free experience. There was no hard sell, just good clear information and friendly service.
A special mention to Gemma who went over the car with me then explained all the options and allowed me pick which ones I wanted with no pressure.
When my wife and I left the showroom she said to me "I think that's where i will be getting my next car"
That's probably the best recommendation I can give.

Great service and customer experience.
I saw the car I was interested in advertised online and went along to have a look. Andy approached me on the forecourt, he was polite and friendly.
He talked about the car, and listened to my reasons and list of things would like from it. Went for a test drive, and he worked out figures with a trade-in. I ended up going elsewhere for the trade-in which was fine.
I reserved the car on the same day as was impressed with the service and Andy knowledge of cars in general. Communication throughout the buying process was smooth, and always kept up to date with what was going on.
I picked up the car 5 days later and am very pleased with it. Would highly recommend Andy and Vertu Darnley to anyone looking for a new or used car - we will be back!
