Great Service

I highly recommend Vertu Nissan and Charlie Racklyeft!

I recently passed my driving test and was looking on Auto Trader for available cars and I spotted a couple of Vertu Nissan Jukes on there. I decided to visit the Vertu Nissan showroom in Northampton and was given a warm welcome from Charlie, who helped me find my first car.

Having only just passed my driving test I am completely new to all of this aspect of life, which Charlie recognised and helped me through the process. I booked a test drive with Charlie for the following morning and a week later (after going through the finance process) I had my new car delivered to me at work.

I highly recommend Vertu Motors, especially Vertu Nissan, and Charlie Racklyeft if you’re looking for a new motor, the customer service was brilliant!

Charlie, our salesman, was fabulous and very informative.
Not pushy (like some sales people can be).

Finlay at Nissan was so so helpful

Finlay at Nissan was so so helpful, very friendly and approachable and really knowledgable about all of the vehicles at the dealership. Due to a horrible experience at another dealership I do think we really tested Finlay with our questions and he was nothing short of patient and understanding, as well as giving us all of the information and genuinely wanting to be supportive of the purchase and vehicle going forward. Would absolutely recommend speaking to Finlay if you’re looking to purchase a new or used vehicle from the Nissan dealership at Riverside Northampton!

Service department poor customer service

Arrived with my car on 20/4/26 to chaotic queues due to staff shortage. Booking had been made through a third party garage but I arrived to be told the booking had been cancelled. The receptionist (Sian) said she didn’t know who had cancelled it or when, but it was cancelled, there was nothing she could do about it and ‘she didn’t have any courtesy cars left anyway’ in a very rude tone of voice. I drove to the garage who had booked it for me (a large company) who stated the booking had not been cancelled and, when rebooked with Nissan Kettering (I refused to return to Northampton) they too confirmed the booking had not been cancelled until the day AFTER my appointment. Massive inconvenience and appalling customer service.

RESPONSE TO THEIR REPLY: They did call, once. Whilst I was working. Didn’t leave a message or try again. Says it all.

Six cars and counting…

As a family we have bought at least half a dozen cars from Vertu Nissan Northampton (and previously Bristol Street). I have just taken ownership of my latest, an E-Micra. We have always found the staff to be polite, courteous and helpful. There has been a couple of hiccups along the way but both service and sales are always keen to get problems rectified quickly.
A special shout out must also go to Will Gilbert, our favorite salesman.

Sales

I was looking to upgrade my Nissan Juke a few weeks ago and met with Will Gilbert again who I had original purchased the Juke from (4 years ago). I was pleased to see he is now a Senior Sales Consultant at Vertu Northampton and made the whole experience enjoyable and straightforward. He was professional & friendly and I felt I could ask as many questions as I needed without being rushed through the process. I picked my new car up on Saturday and again Will talked me through all the gadgets/dashboard info etc and assured me to give him a call if there was anything I couldn't remember or needed help with when I got home.
Will made this an enjoyable experience without me ever feeling pressured.

Unprofessional very poor service I had to give 1 star, but that was too high

I had pre arranged a test drive, and even got a call from the sales team while I was on my way,only to be told that the car had been sold on my arrival, absolutely furious and disgusting service. I wouldn't even buy a box of matches from these people.

Sorry for your disappointment with your experience, however you were offered to leave a reservation fee which is fully refundable until you were able to view/test drive the vehicle you enquired on, to which you declined. You were called by the sales advisor whom you had your appointment with after your appointed time to see if you were still attending the dealership. When you arrived unfortunately another customer had also made an enquiry on the same vehicle with another sales advisor, with this customer then purchasing the vehicle.
This was explained to you by the used car sales manager whilst you were at the dealership, who also offered for you to have a test drive in alternative vehicle with a view of sourcing you another vehicle.
