My experience at Vertu in Leicester…
The experience at Vertu in Leicester was very good - I initially went to look at used second hand cars; specifically automatics, which I hadn’t experienced before. We were seen by Lucy Hutchinson one of the sales team who was so helpful from start to finish. Lucy brought a car directly to my home so I could test drive it in familiar surroundings. She then talked me through the different models etc and helped me find the car I wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she offered exception customer service.

A very enjoyable purchase
The sales team (in particular Lily) were very helpful. She explained every aspect of the new car which in these days one needs to be an electronic gizmo whiz kid. We appreciated that she explained all the various add-on packages (protection, servicing etc.) clearly but did not oversell/push-them when we declined.

Never recommend instead go to vertu toyota loughborough
Absolutely pathetic experience, the sales man did not want to help us fine the right car, refused to open cars so we could look inside and gauge a size which was right for us, instead his question was are you going to buy a car. Really rude, unprofessional sales team so poor by a million miles.

I am extremely disappointed with the response from Vertu Toyota Leicester.
Please do not try to change the facts. I was clearly told directly that the diagnostic charge would be £156. It was not explained as “may apply” — it was stated as a definite charge. There is a big difference between “may charge” and “we will charge £156.”
My vehicle is still under warranty, yet instead of focusing on resolving a serious hybrid system fault, the first conversation was about payment. I was also told there was “nothing wrong” with the car and that I could take it home — but if diagnostics were carried out, I would be charged, even though the vehicle is under warranty.
This is completely unacceptable.
Yes, I received three calls from Toyota which I did not answer. However, that does not change the fact that the initial service and communication at the dealership was unprofessional and disappointing.
Instead of blaming customers, Vertu Leicester should seriously review and improve their customer service standards. A customer reporting a hybrid system malfunction and braking warning should be treated with seriousness and professionalism — not immediately confronted with charges.
In simple words, this has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing experiences I have had with a dealership.
I strongly advise others to be cautious and fully understand what they are agreeing to before leaving their vehicle there.
