WE ARE A SMALL 3 MAN IRONWORKS MANUFACTURING QUALITY BRITISH STOVES. We have picked up some poor review latley as out order book whent from 25 to 475 in 1 week. We are getting stoves out as fast as humanly possible :-) We do not have office staff. We make quality products at affordable prices but do not have manned phonelines or a receptionist. During the COVID crisis we kindly ask customers to deal with us by email allowing us to carry on manufacturing and answer emails after hours. Please do not confuse us with a huge manufacturing organisation. We are not that and don't wish to be

Ordered early june #68512

Ordered early june #68512, emailed 4 times with no reply, 4 weeks past original delivery date.
Very disappointed ordered a uk made product in the hope of getting quality service - should have used china!
Laughable customer service, will pursue recovery of funds
Know why they offered freebe for good review....which hasn't turned up either.
Breach of contract all round.😡😡😡

Shameful

I am now giving up on attempting to get any response to my issues through email or this site. I have sent John photos of my damaged heater, pizza stone that doesn’t fit and rusting areas as I was requested to do. This was weeks ago and still no response. To summarise: I paid around £900 in March for a burner and log store. The burner arrived months later, damaged, poorly made and is now rusting. Pizza stone doesn’t fit. Log store still not arrived. I have sent so many emails that I have lost count. No response. To those reviewers asking for everyone to give this small company a break I say this…. they are holding 100s of thousands of pounds for orders not delivered. They are ignoring legitimate concerns of innocent customers. Those customers work hard for their money too. They deserve some respect. I don’t intend to leave any more comments here or to attempt any further email correspondence. I will now, reluctantly, pursue more formal procedures.

Oh and finally…… no John, I won’t give you a 5* review in return for a free care kit! Best of luck to those that have accepted incentives for positive reviews.

Vesta, you give genuine small businesses a bad image. You should be ashamed

I am still waiting for some of my order having paid for it, they do not respond to emails or speak to you on the phone , never have I experienced such dreadfull service , Vesta Stoves answer your emails, I want my money back for the purchase I have not received….. Camille Mcnab

Sad to write this but please get in touch

I’m sad to have to write this review but having tried for weeks now to get a response from the Company this feels like a last resort prior to contacting Trading Standards.
Whilst I’ve been patient in waiting over 3 months for an order quoted at 3-5 weeks the stove has arrived with defects. The glass on both sides does not secure, the beading has fallen off and the pizza stone doesn’t fit. Further the cover I paid for still hasn’t arrived several weeks later.
I’ve tried contacting several times but the phone goes straight to voicemail and also e-mail only yields an automated response.
Whilst I appreciate they have been swamped with orders and trying hard to manufacture as many stoves as possible I now have a £1000 ornament sitting in my garden.
Hopefully this yields some kind of response before I have to resort to further action.

Edit: Not long after this review I received an email from John apologising for the inconvenience and saying he had COVID. I was told the missing cover and replacement parts would be sent out immediately.
Am I surprised that 7 weeks later they still haven’t arrived; Not really!
As a further update my stove is now rusting and the paint is peeling off. Nearly £1000 wasted……

Dreadful experience

Dreadful experience. Was a mixed set of reviews when we ordered the product in lockdown 1 but wasn’t much other choice at the time. As you can see now by other reviews I’d give them miss. They can’t cope with demand, communication is non existent now, they lie about delivery/dhl posting to fob you off. Product now rusting, flume fit is dreadful so wobbles everywhere (was told to use the cement which still waiting on 12 months in with the other parts still owed)

Pizza kit not suitable for burner

Waited 12 weeks for my stove (was told 4 week delivery) no communication throughout which was very frustrating and disappointing. When it arrived it was not as per the spec ordered (was supposed to be 50cm height) decided not to challenge as waited too long for it to arrive and they don’t reply to emails or calls anyway so no way of contacting them. Ordered a pizza kit with the stove but after using for the first time the stone broke when I tried to remove it. Tried to contact vesta but as expected no reply so I contacted pro cook (the manufacture of the pizza stone) who as advised it should not be used in a log burner and the guarantee is void. I sent a copy of this to vesta who surprisingly did respond saying they had never had any previous problems with them. I asked for a refund ans have heard nothing since! I have chased several times over the last month all ignored !
I would prefer to deal with this privately but vesta seem to only respond to reviews on here so I’m hoping this prompts a response!
In a nutshell - love the burner , company have taken on too much work there they can’t handle and despite negative feedback have not attempted to improve their communication channels and don’t bother buying a pizza kit cos they are not suitable for the burner !

Great Service

I spent a lot of time researching for a fire pit and decided on investing in an outdoor wood burner. I found Vesta through a google search, the reviews on the website were very good.
I placed an order in June and was given a delivery date of 17th Aug. I wasn’t sure if this was a definite date because I have had delays with garden furniture from other companies. Anyway on the 18th Aug I emailed and received an immediate reply. My order arrived on 20th. It arrived well packaged and looks very sturdy.
I can’t wait to use it this evening.

Unfortunately I didn't read the reviews until after i'd ordered but kept my fingers crossed that i'd be one of the lucky ones but true to the reviews my delivery date has been and gone without any contact or response the emails I've sent. You cant call because you get a recorded message and you can't use social media because they've removed the ability to post. It's a shame because they do come across as a genuine family business but instead of throttling orders to make sure they offer a good level service it seems like they've taken on more than they can handle and bury their head in the sand when it comes to customers chasing them. I paid via paypal so hoping i can get my £900 back without any challenge. If they do read the reviews then a bit of advice would be that customers would be more understanding if you just contacted them even if it was to say theres been a delay.

Ordered a Vesta Outdoor wood stove

Ordered a Vesta Outdoor wood stove in April, was updated by e mail on manufacture and delivery times although both were missed. Having e mailed the company I did receive information that they had been inundated with orders, so I gave them more time to process. The stove arrived mid August well packed and with all the extra parts I’d ordered present. Despite a few initial worries over the purchase I believe the company are trying their best in these difficult times.
The stove is a solid, well engineered item, British built, we are really pleased with it and glad that we had a glass door. Looking forward to some warm nights out in the autum

Extremely disappointing

As with the last few reviewers, our outside wood burner is now 1 month over due its delivery date. Order was placed and payment of £930 was made on 7th May then delivery was confirmed for 17th July. I have been very patient as I understand the high demand and difficult circumstances this year but I have emailed 3 times politely asking for an update and not received a single reply. Phoning is a waste of time as no one answers, there is just a recorded message telling you to email and they'll respond. I am now going to go to my credit card company and request my money back. This is extremely disappointing as we were very much looking forward to using our wood burner this summer and I would have purchased elsewhere had I know how bad this company is.

Buyer Beware.......

Awful service, e-mails ignored. apparently my stove was completed on the 27th of July, but 3 weeks later am still awaiting a delivery date.
They have had >£800 of my money since 12th May.
I got an e-mail in July saying they were getting 300 orders a day - with that amount of revenue coming in you would think they could invest in :
a) people to actually make the items we have paid for
b) someone to answer the phone and e-mails.

Awful customer service, great product.

I ordered the Fiesta stove which arrived after a few months, at first glance it looked great but when assembled it was clear to see the flue does not fit the stove and is so lose and of such a poor for it's dangerous and renders the stove unusable. The flue is held in with one small thumb screw and is ill fitting.

I have tried to call several times with no success as the company number goes straight to a recorded message with no option of leaving a message, it prompts you to email. I have sent approximately 7 emails with no reply. I managed to get a mobile number and managed to get through to the owner who assured my he would send out packing to rectify the flue fault.....after 14 days and several messages the packing finally arrived.

Having spent almost £800 I expect better.

I also ordered a stove cover over 4 months ago and have been told on two separate occasions that this has been then resent which was lies as I have received nothing.

I have several photos and video to support this but have not been given the option to upload these.

Awful customer service which is almost unbelievable.

I was given the direct mobile of the company by a work colleague who had also ordered the fiesta stove and had problems so called and managed to get through, I highlighted faults with the flue and was told packing would be sent out on the next working day to resolve this (6th August), after contacting the company via WhatsApp they eventually sent packing after 2 weeks.

The packing has made no difference to flue which dangerously ill fitting, I have sent photos of the tack welds which are preventing the flue from slotting in the the stove and in turn stove is redundant sitting in my garage as the flue could fall off at any moment when in use. I read a Google review where similar had happened and the flue fell over causing injuries.

There are also grinding marks on the door which I was told that must have happened on transit, the stove was wrapped so I'm not sure how this could have happened in transit.

I had also been told on two separate occasions that the cover had been sent but it hasn't arrived. ( after almost 4 months I have only just been refunded for the cover)

If I were able to upload photos I would show to corresponding emails to ratify this.
My stove is dangerous and unusable with the ill fitting flue, if this is a known issues then why not send the packaging with the stove?

As I have seen lied to several times you can see my reason for the scepticism.

My reason for filing a fraud complaint is that I have a product that is not fit for purpose as described.
I want to support this company as the stove looks grest but after ignored emails and calls and lies reference products being sent I am left with no option but to leave a negative review.

*UPDATE
My stove was eventually picked up ad replaced with a new stove with an upgraded flue stupport, I can't fault the product as it's excellent and well made.
BUT
I cannot for the life of me understand why John doesn't reply to emails or calls, I was lucky enough to have his mobile number and can't fault the contact once i was given his number.

In short, great product, poor customer service.

Thanks for reaching out. As you are aware I have sent you a packing strip for the flue. The latest version on the stove has a new style collar however the packing rope I have sent you will cure this issue. I am at a loss as to why you would want to file a fraud complaint. As far as I know you are just awaiting a cover. Ill refunds this immediately if you don't want to wait for them to arrive.

I am only not answering the phone so I can make as many stoves as possible to satisfy orders. You failed to mention that you have been contacting me through whattsapp on my personal mobile.

Stove has made such a difference to the garden - had an open fire before and the smoke smell on the clothes lasted for days!

Would highly recommend both company and stoves!!

Cannot comment on stove as still waiting 4.5 months on…..

I have tried (again) to call to find out what is happening with our order. Ordered mid March and received a confirmation it would be delivered 3rd May. Received an email 26 April to say it was “in manufacture” and nothing since. The stove (which we have paid for) has still not appeared.
Now, I appreciate that there has been Covid, Brexit etc, but the answer machine says to email so they can answer. I have tried emailing on multiple occasions with no response. Our order is nearly 3 months late.
A friend ordered after me, and received his stove about 6-8 weeks ago. I also notice on some of the reviews that the author has put the date they ordered - after me - and they have received. So the delays cannot be solely attributed to Covid/ additional orders etc as others have ordered later and have received.
I am not sure what to do to get a response - tried Facebook - although you cannot comment - and Insta and multiple emails and phone calls. Like the last review, our order is #67635
For info, my friend ordered exactly the same as me so frustrated that later orders are being dealt with before my 3 month overdue one. Some 4 and a half months from order.

Tumbleweed...

I'm writing on here in the hope that somebody at Vesta might finally respond and get in touch. We ordered at the end of March for delivery end May, no contact until we received an email first week in June saying our order status was now "in manufacture"... Absolutely nothing since, with no response to three emails I've sent and they don't answer the phone. Very, very disappointing... it's order no #67834 guys, if you can be bothered...

Worth the wait

Like so many people I ordered back in March. Received the fiesta stove early July. Was originally told it would be here in a fortnight😔 There was an issue with communication and at one point I thought we were not going to receive our goods however I was willing to preserve giving this company the benefit of the doubt. I must admit I have been much more patient due to COVID.
I absolutely love my stove. Like so many people I have been working from home since last March so having full use of my garden even in cold nights (I live in Glasgow 😂😂) has been my bit of respite. Hopefully binging back some sanity 🤪.
The fiesta stove is so well built. We got double glass doors so we can see the flames from every angle. The heat in our wooden gazebo that my husband built is amazing. I am living my garden life. Thank you Vesta Stoves.
I know it’s frustrating everyone but for me it has been worth the wait. I look forward to receiving my care pack in December 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
John your workmanship is brilliant and we have had loads of compliments from our visitors. Please please consider getting some help with admin to avoid all your negative feedback. As I said for me it was worth the wait!!

Placed an order for an Flue extension…

Placed an order for an Flue extension on the 9th June 2021 and now radio silence. I have emailed, called and emailed and called with no feedback what so ever. About the contact VISA to report the transaction as un-delivered and try to get my money back unless I get some kind of support. I already have a stove which is a great product but the support is non existent.

We ordered at the end of March and…

We ordered at the end of March and we're told a delivery date in late May. This seemed a long wait, but we understood and accepted this. We still hadn't had any communication by mid June, so we emailed and a few days later we received a generic email about the stove going into manufacture and some info about delays, estimating up to four weeks from original delivery date. We've sent three emails since to get a confirmed delivery date (it's now 20th July), to get a human acknowledgement of our order (of c£1000) with no response at all. The phone number is useless as it directs you to email them. I would avoid this company, we'll be contacting our credit card company to force a refund.
