I sent my item out on Monday and by Thursday the item was authenticated and I was paid. Really good experience.

The seller was extremely nice however the service from Vestiare is Horrible!!! They will not ship to a PO Box yet they only ship via USPS. I live in an area that USPS does not deliver to so my deliveries must be to my PO Box. When I tried to come up with a solution with the chat feature I was clearly only being talked to by a bot or a non-English speaking person and got horrible service. I will never use the service again. Again the end seller was extremely helpful in assisting me in getting my purchase but Vestiare has very poor customer service

Vestiaire Collective has been game changing for me. I love pieces that aren’t always available in the U.S., so this makes it convenient to find things I like. Also the price ranges are great and you get great value for your money. It’s a win, win in my book.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Vestiaire Collective has repeatedly failed to deliver luxury items as advertised, and its customer service falls far below what should be expected for transactions of this value. Most recently, I purchased a handbag for more than $61,000 that was advertised as brand new and “never worn.” The seller requested Vestiaire’s assistance with a tax and invoicing issue. Vestiaire would not assist in what should have been a simple internal administrative matter, so the original sale was cancelled while Vestiaire continued holding my $61,000 payment. Rather than holding the bag for me when the seller relisted it, as the seller requested, Vestiaire required the seller to create a new public listing. I then had to scramble to purchase the bag again and compete with other offers while Vestiaire was still holding my original payment. As a result, Vestiaire was holding more than $100,000 of my funds at the same time without providing meaningful assistance. When the bag was authenticated, it showed multiple visible blemishes and signs of wear inconsistent with its advertised condition. Vestiaire offered no price adjustment or meaningful resolution. Its authentication report, to apparently minimize the discrepencies, also falsely stated that "the original manufacturer could repair the bag and restore it to its original condition", something Vestiaire’s own New York management later acknowledged was untrue. This was not an isolated incident; Vestiaire previously delivered a Dior handbag without its original accessories and, more recently, a $7,500 Dior dress without its original garment bag. Vestiaire also does too little to address sellers who misrepresent condition despite Vestaire charging significant fees to both the seller and buyer. Offering only the choice of accepting the item or rejecting the transaction is not a meaningful resolution and ignores the time, financial disruption, and aggravation caused by Vestiaire’s systems and inaccurate information from both Vestiaire and its sellers. Vestiaire provides no customer-service telephone number at all, forcing customers to rely entirely on slow email exchanges and an ineffective messaging system "we'll get back to you in a few days despite giving you deadlines to respond" even while it is holding substantial funds. I love the idea of the platform, but the reality is so vexing that it has become inhospitable to serious, high-value customers. For luxury transactions at this level, accuracy, accountability, seller oversight, and responsive customer service are essential. Vestiaire has repeatedly failed to meet those standards.
RESPONSE TO VESTIAIRE’S RESPONSE: Vestiaire’s reply contains additional word salad and several factual inaccuracies. The original sale was not cancelled because the seller was unable to ship on time. The seller requested Vestiaire’s assistance with a tax and invoicing issue, which Vestiaire refused to provide, so the sale was cancelled. The seller was attempting to have the invoice issued in the name of the item’s correct legal owner, and Vestiaire would not assist in resolving what should have been a simple internal administrative matter. There was also no “negotiation.” Vestiaire identified the blemishes and presented me with a take-it-or-leave-it decision. It refused to provide any price adjustment or make a meaningful effort to obtain one from the seller. An item advertised as new and “never worn” is materially different from one with multiple visible blemishes. Those issues directly affect condition and market value. Offering only the choice of accepting the item or rejecting the transaction is not a meaningful resolution and ignores the time, financial disruption, and aggravation caused by Vestiaire’s systems and inaccurate information from both Vestiaire and its sellers. Vestiaire needs stronger controls to remove sellers who repeatedly mismarket items, or list goods they do not actually have available. and provide meaningful customer service, at least for items over a certain threshold value, via telephone. I sincerely hope Vestiaire’s new CEO addresses these operational failures, which leave high-value customers feeling terrible rather than valued.

Negotiated price accepted and item safely delivered.

It was quick, transparent & safe with the knowledge the item purchased is verified.
I wasn’t happy with third party carrier however. Who over communicated incorrect delivery days - but failed to communicate with me at all when trying to find my parcel.

What a speedy transaction! One bid and a very reasonable counter to it! Shipping label created the same day was an absolute win! Everyone wants there purchase to arrive asap! I couldnt be happier!

The sale/delivery process was seamless.
Bag was marked in excellent condition and was 5300.00. I have several Chanel reissues. (2.55)
It was not disclosed that there was a significant and obvious crease at the flap. A sharp crease, most likely from improper storage. I strongly feel that should have been disclosed especially for that price tag. The rest of the bag, I would agree is in overall excellent condition for its age. For that price, there should be no surprises or disappointment. First time buyer as well.

So, there are some negative reviews and Reddit posts out there about Vestiaire Collective but in my experience everything went as it should.
I searched and browsed for a MCM style Boston bag. I found some that were reasonably priced. Then, I reviewed the seller's profiles. Next, I made an offer. My offer was accepted. I paid using my credit card (This is 2026, online purchases should be made with the extra layer of security and protection that credit cards provide). The seller shipped my bag out on time (USPS) and I received it on time (USPS). There were No issues, my regular mailman delivered it.
My bag is exactly as seen and described in the post pictures. Vestiaire Collective emailed me updates every step of the way. I would absolutely buy through them again. The process was easy and I feel that if you are an informed buyer, you'll have an easy experience too.
