Viaggiare Rent - Bergamo Reviews 

Started of with being slightly late due to queues at passport, so was charged a extra €50 for a late collection, the fuel was significantly lower than they advised when we collected & now we have been charged a extra £171 for god knows what else, 1 days car hire cost £236 when it should of cost £14, I have emailed the info email address with no response at all, car hire at Bergamo Airport has been enough to put us off hiring a car ever again, this company are fraudsters, they offer reasonable car hire prices & then rip customers off, zero customer service & zero morals, please avoid before you end up in a situation like us, we will be taking this further as we have a video showing the car was left in perfect condition, they intentionally do not have anyone at the drop off site so they can falsely charge customers extras, if you need car hire use a reputable company, this company is damaging the car hire industry, look at the other reviews, they do this time & time again 😢

In the end up we were okay but because our plane was delayed we were concerned the booking was going to time out. I phoned Viaggiare to advise them of our late arrival (still well within their opening hours) and they said the booking would time out after an hour. When we did arrive at the desk there was a queue.

I note that Viaggiare have confirmed in their response that they may not honour the booking if you are more than an hour late. I would like to point out several
issues with this. I booked through a broker and nowhere on the voucher does it say the booking will not be honoured if you are over an hour late. If you are picking up a car at an airport this also seems unreasonable as often you are delayed through no fault of your own! You then have paid for a car that they won’t give you and they won’t refund your money!!! Sounds like a scam to me…..

I had originally given three stars but due to confirmation from Viaggiare as to their position on this matter I have reduced it to one star!!!!

We hired a car from Bergamo airport and were extremely impressed with the whole process. I had some concerns regarding a driving licence before I booked and my emails were always answered promptly. The pick up and return process was quick and efficient so no waiting around.
The price I paid was the best of all the car hire companies I looked at and the car was in good condition.
I’d definitely use again and highly recommend

Beware of This Rental Company!
We had an absolutely harrowing experience with this rental company. Imagine being stranded on the side of the road in dangerous weather conditions, desperately trying to reach out for help, only to be met with silence. They will not pick up the phone, leaving you to fend for yourself and make critical decisions on your own.

But the nightmare doesn't end there. Once you manage to get through the ordeal, you will be hit with charges that are three times more than what was initially agreed upon. And to add insult to injury, these fellows won't even attempt to negotiate or offer any form of compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused.

This company’s lack of responsibility and customer care is appalling. I strongly advise against using their services if you value your safety and your wallet.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this company. I have used several other providers at Bergamo airport, but Viaggare was by far the best.
The collection and drop off process was very straightforward. There was no hard sell of additional insurances etc, and the car we received was excellent.
My only issue was that I had some trouble making the booking directly via the website, which kept throwing an error at the payment stage. However Giada called me having seen I had a been trying to book, and sorted this out quickly and efficiently. Although I could have made a booking via a comparison website, I was keen to book directly.
I have had a number of quite poor experiences with other rental providers at Bergamo, but this was fantastic, so I would highly recommend, and I expect to use them again in future.

They do not refund the deposit amount of the car rental I made on 17.01.2025 and they persistently claimed that it was refunded and stole my money. Definitely do not rent a car. They do not refund deposit amounts

New Ford Puma, no hidden defects or scratches, free shuttle bus from Terminal 8 stop to P3 parking every 20 minutes, keys returned at 6:30 to the key box in the office, in the airport terminal. Thank you.
