We had pre booked our from Australia on picking the car we were told our card was a debit the card was a credit card it was not a debit card we then had to pay over $600 for a scam insurance we already had insurance and all the other poeple were scammed with this card fiasco.Another family had to call the police.

Unfortunately, even though I had several different ways to pay, these companies always seem to find a way to take your money. I paid online, but I wasn't able to actually rent the car because they claimed my card didn't work. Even though we had four other cards available to use, they were so difficult about their policies that I felt set up to fail.

I asked for even a partial refund, but I received nothing. I also wrote 3 emails, and no one ever came back to me.
I never used any of the services, yet I paid for everything in full and had to rent from a different company for an additional 250 euros.

We had a confirmed reservation to rent a car from 10/11/2025 to 16/11/2025. When arriving at Palermo airport nobody was picking up the phone so we were left there in the cold without car !!!!

Good and confortable car but was very dirty.

We booked 3 rental cars in Palermo, but received only one. The vouchers with the numbers 91615314 and 25995946 (Dr. Schmidt) could not be redeemed because evidently no cars were available. We were offered much smaller cars at three times the price. After intense discussions, we left without the two cars and then had to rent 2 cars in the airport building at a relatively high price.
I have never been treated so rudely and incompetently. One can only warn everyone about this car rental company.

We did not cause any damage to the car. We left the car in the parking lot in the same condition in which we picked it up. We did not take pictures at drop-off because it was 4:00 a.m. and it was dark. We were met by two parking lot employees who treated us badly, and we almost missed our flight because the shuttle never departed. Moreover, we had rented an automatic car, but at the time of pick-up it was not available. We were given a manual car, which was dirty and had multiple damages. No one came to check the damages at the time of pick-up or drop-off, and now you are inventing this damage and demanding 250 euros for a damage that was already present. Terrible company, dishonest and incompetent. We will defend our rights and pursue this to the very end.

Our family's experience involved a shuttle transfer to the rental car park, approximately a 15-minute drive. The driver transported eleven passengers in a nine-seater vehicle and, on a narrow road, was involved in a collision with another car without stopping. This incident led to an on-site confrontation. Furthermore, the rental car's exterior condition hindered a thorough inspection. On way back we departed Palermo at 5:00 AM, encountering an unattended office. Subsequently, we received a text message indicating damage to the vehicle, resulting in a €330 charge. Stay away .Never again. It will cost you at the end same as you would rent from Herz or other big brand .

It was a big mistake to rent the car here! It all started with the fact that we had to pay a deposit of 700€ instead of 500€, but my credit card was blocked. And they said, we couldn't use my partner's credit card, who was also registered as the second driver. We then called Auto Europe to ask if they could swap the main driver. The Auto Europe employee wanted to speak with the Viaggiare employee, as the 700 was specified differently in the contract. The Viaggiare employee lied in front of me and claimed I didn't have a credit card, whereupon Auto Europe didn't want to help any further. In the end, we had no choice but to buy additional insurance of €240 through Viaggiare, even though we were already fully insured through Auto Europe. This was the only way they could collect the deposit from my debit card. It makes absolutely no sense to me. Afterwards, I was also told by that this is a typical scam to double the rental price of the car. Although we had already been in the office for 2 hours, the car was not ready when we got the key. The employee cleaned it quickly, but it was still totally dirty, inside and out. The car's brakes were badly worn, the gearshift was so worn out that reverse gear kept jumping out. In the end, the car we rented for twice the price was a disaster.

First expérience. Good expérience in communication and with the car. We were a little bit lost at arrival airport but we finally find the Shuttle and the way to return to the airport. No problem with the car.

They refused my credit card even though it was a true credit card.
We had to pay 230 extra, so we finally paid 470 instead of 240 for the full booking.
And then, we contracted the support and they are not giving us a concrete proof that this is not a credit card…
Avoid this company if you don’t want to have a bad surprise.

Everything was excellent. We booked the car directly through the website online. When we arrived at the airport, we had some issues with our luggage, but the shuttle was waiting for us without any problems, and we really appreciate that.
We had booked a small car (Toyota Aygo), but they gave us a larger one (Toyota Yaris Cross). We didn’t really want a bigger car because of the narrow streets and parking, but it was fine — not too big, and everything went smoothly.
They refunded the deposit the very next day.
Our overall experience was truly positive.

I rented a car and everything went fine. I returned the car and everything was fine. However, the shuttle van driver to take us back to the airport was very rude. I asked if there was a seatbelt for the seat I was in, and he just laughed and said something in Italian and began driving. He completely ignored me. I also had my 9 year old son in the van so safety should have been a priority. When leaving the property he said something to the man sitting at the gate in Italian and an Italian woman also in the van looked directly at me when this interaction happened. So I can only assume he was talking about me. Just spend the extra money for a reputable company. For Viaggiare Rent, this happened on July 18th at around 8:30. So look and ypu should know who the driver was. You should say something to him.

I received a great service from the company.
After some uncertainty - which arose after arriving at the airport (Palermo) because it was not clear how to pick up the car - after a smooth process we received the requested car (which was even better equipped than requested). The age, technical condition, and cleanliness of the car were excellent. There were no further disruptions during the drop-off, so I was able to drop off the car really easily and quickly.
I recommend the company!

We booked a Skoda Kamiq specifically to have enough room for our luggage, but when we arrived we were given a Toyota Yaris T-Cross. A significantly smaller car and according to me not in the same size category at all.

When asked if they had a car closer in size to the Kamiq, they said no. They also admitted they don’t even have Skoda Kamiq in their fleet. Then why list it as a reference vehicle during the booking?

The car we received was dirty on the outside. Inside a light in the back seat was hanging loose, only held up by the wire. When I asked about it, they just said “that’s how it is whit this model"

During the trip, we emailed them to ask if we could return the car one hour later than scheduled. We got no response, so we called. Without even asking which booking it was, they told us the car was already rented to someone else. When I asked how they could know that without knowing our booking details, I was just told “that’s the way it is” and that we couldn’t return the car later.

When I questioned this the agent raised their voice and almost shouted at me. Saying I must respect the contract and that if we were even one hour late, we would have to pay “the full penalty fee”.

All in all, a very disappointing experience. I cannot recommend Viaggiare to anyone – go with another rental company if you want reliability, professionalism and a stress-free rental experience.

Vehicle was in good condition and well equipped (incl apple CarPlay & android auto).
What we did not like was that they had no booster seats available. It was not their fault that the booking agency did not forward that info, but to have a few booster seats on stock would require almost no space and saved us a lot of effort and money.

All good, uncomplicated. Very nice car and friendly staff.

Professionali e chiari al check in, veloci e efficienti al check out. Brava sia la ragazza al desk, che Gaetano addetto al check out. Avremmo preferito una Fiat Panda invece di una Mahindra KUV100, ma l'auto non ha dato problemi particolari.
