Avoid Viaplay at all costs!!!!!,

Only gave 1 star because I can’t give none! Another Premier Sports subscriber wanting to cancel but not having the right button on the ‘manage my subscriptions’ page. Have sent 2 messages through the Viaplay online message service when in my account without reply. Noticed that ‘Mikkel’ replied to similar on December 5 saying that system issues had been resolved but this is rubbish! Avoid Viaplay as my view is that you will end up paying for something you don’t want. My next step is to complain to Ofcom and see where that goes!

Awful

Premier Sports wasn’t great but my goodness they weren’t anywhere near as bad as this outfit. Overpriced subscription model and very weird in that it’s offering TV shows that I or probably nobody will ever watch. Absolutely hideous and have cancelled my subscription.

Appears to be a scam. Cannot cancel the account!

Received an email telling me that my premiersport account was now viaplay. Didn't use premiersport last year so don't want to renew. Apparently my account will automatically renew. Cancellation "available" anytime but the cancellation button is not where stated!!! So I had to start looking for a solution. Emailed viaplay.dk after finding the email address on this site (no contacts, chats, emails or british phone numbers available on the website). Received an automatic reply in Danish! Now waiting for a reply to my email. We'll see if the cancellation will be accepted or if this site has become a scam!

It’s next to impossible to unsubscribe from this outfit. In desperation I have tried to email them to stop the subscription. The procedure does not work on line!

Rubbish replacement for Premiere

No on demand button as on premiere, replay is only 48hrs. Can’t get app to work logged out of Viaplay.com, still won’t work. I only had premiere for rugby union. It’s now a crap service in comparison. Will give it a wee bit of time but will probably cancel. Hopefully someone else will get the rugby rights.

Sir Crash-a-lot: more crashes than Mazepin

App crashes, streaming is interrupted, no improvements in 9 months to this. Next to tech problems, there is very little original content. Can also be found on other services.

Trouble cancelling my account, avoid viaplay

I’ve been emailing Viaplay for several days wanting to cancel my subscription since I’m unable to do it on my account, got mixed responses from confirming that I’m the owner of the account before they can do anything to unable to cancel my account and give me a refund.
There is no point of paying for a service I don’t use.

In case you are unable to cancel your subscription yourself on My Account / Kontooversigt, then this is due to you being logged in with the wrone email address.

We are able to help you locate your account and cancel the subscription if you meet one of these two criteria:

1. You contact us from the same email address as the username on the account where the subscription is purchased.

2. You send us the last four numbers of the associated card number and the cards exp. date.

Hate the game you Love

VIAplay is the knock off version of Ziggo. If you ordered Ziggo from wish.com you would get this lagging disaster. It's probably less hassle buying plane tickets, booking a hotel and going to the stadium. If you want to hate the game you Love, watch it on Viaplay.

Bought premier league back in the…

Bought premier league back in the beginning of September, and paid over 60$ for that! Due to reasons you may all know about a certain royal, I didn’t get to see any premier league matches and I wasted 60$

The super rude person who replied to my email didn’t help at all, they just told me that’s the way the cookie crumbles, and “thanks for the money”. Horrible scummy company

I saw all the 2022 F1 races till now by…

I saw all the 2022 F1 races till now by using Chrome on my tablet. Today it was not opening, and it prompts me to Google store to download the App. There it says - This app is not available in your country -.
In the laptop the screen freezes all the time.

BTW i live in Holland.

Even as your last resort...you'll still be disappointed

As an British expat living in the Netherlands, I'm always keen to keep up to date with the Premier League. As a result I tried Viaplay to see if the coverage and platform was as bad as their reviews made out.

The basic streaming platform of Viaplay is not bad, it functions well.

The TV series selection in my opinion is good but limited, they do have series from the US and STARZ network. The movie selection is small and old. TV series and Movies stream well and in HD with good multi language subtitle support in many cases.

When it comes to the live sports streaming it really is a downward spiral of sadness.

I do not watch the F1 so have no feedback to give.

I do watch the Premier League coverage from Viaplay. Considering the huge licensing fees Viaplay will have had to pay for the Premier League rights along with what they charge their customers for access, what they provide in return is disappointing, negligent and unforgivable.

The streaming quality of most games is OK, but rarely is it really over 720 and never HD quality. With some of the games you wonder if you are watching a paid service or an illegal stream. I've had times where suddenly the sound disappears from all live games on the platform with no explanation, however audio from their tv/movie library remain. Games are also regularly lagging a few minutes behind the real games.

As a British expat I can deal with the Dutch commentary, although it would be nice if the commentators provided more in-depth stats within the games. The studio analysis could also do with some better discussion points.

If you missed a game, Viaplay have you covered with highlights from all games that they have rights for. You most definitely will be disappointed. The editing of these highlights are amateur at the very best. Regularly cutting in-between random points in the game. Sometimes you can watch 20 seconds of the first half and then 4 minutes of the second half. However the random points in which they cut through the highlights is bizarre, sometimes even cutting off commentary mid sentence. Ziggo Sports provide brilliant highlights coverage via Youtube for the residents of the Netherlands.

Very disappointed in this service

Very disappointed in this service, it’s frustrating to get into which is irritation. Now I am trying to watch a football game, I can hear the commentator and that’s it; no crowd, no stadium noise just the dull boring sterile sound of a man talking into a mic, whilst people pass a ball up and down. If I turn to a streaming service that only allows me to listen to the same game, they manage to broadcast the whole event. Ruined the game for me thanks.

Don't listen to the negative reviews!

I don't understand what people have against ViaPlay. I like the selection of media, both movies, series and sports. I especially like their sports section. The app and the website have improved greatly since it was first released so don't listen to the negative voices.

Inaccessible

Very unfortunate how Viaplay monopolized the rights to the Premier League in the Netherlands. Ziggo made freely accessible summaries on YouTube but Viaplay took this away from the average football enthusiast by forcing to pay high prices.
