VSDC Editor has been really helpful to…

VSDC Editor has been really helpful to me, I have been using the free version for a month and a half now, and it improved the quality of my videos a lot, If you are not that great at editing i recommend VSDC and they also have tutorials on YouTube so you can learn pretty easily, only problem that sometimes happens to me is that it glitches like it dosen't save, but it happens rarely so i still give it a 5 star rating!

I was charged and refused refund!

These guys need to be more open about their product. I did not see any information about VSDC being “PC only” and as a Mac user could’ve done with that valuable information.
As I wanted to use elements of the editor that were only available to paid pro users, I bought a membership and downloaded the application. I then released it could not work on my Mac. So I contacted VSDC to get a refund. This was the response I got:

“Hello,

Sorry for possible inconveniences.

Mac version is not available.

According to Terms of use, section 3 this is not a reason for a refund.

Regards,

VSDC team“

Thanks for nothing. You have just charged me for absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Stay away from these guys. DaVinci Resolve is actually FREE and works on Mac and PC.

Run, it's a trap

RUN IT'S A TRAP!
VSDC gives you a discount if you write a review and of course no one is going to write an honest review if they are trying to get the discount.
This program sucks. It's good for free, but the rendering is like reading greek. The online tutorials are extremely limited. It's not da Vinci resolve so only a small percentage of video editors use it. My laptop is chunk so it handles VSDC better than Da Vinci Resolve, but it still is buggy as hell.
Sometimes the file name updates when you tell it to, sometimes it doesn't. Rendering could take anywhere from 2 hours to 5 hours, but even then you really don't know what you are getting until it's done. Sometimes your video files get pressed to 0 seconds and you can't drag the sides to extend them. Does it do a lot? Sure, but wow is it buggy.
I bought the full version because I thought it would easier, but it's such a waste of my time.

I am a total beginner at editing

I am a total beginner at editing. it is very easy to use. VSDC is wonderful software for video editing. i am using this software since past 2 year I have never face any issue. the editor seems fairly simple to figure out and the converter options are outstanding. now I am using a free version but I will be purchasing the pro version for more options and effects.

I can't even start a project

I can't even start a project. I've gone through the Screen Capture 6 times now, recorded, and then when I try to open that video (the one I RECORDED WITH THIS PROGRAM) I'm told it's a bad format!
What a waste of time!

USELESS.

Free is good, Pro is bad.

Great video editor BUT do not buy the Pro version. They don't tell you until after you've paid that it's only a one-year subscription, not an actual purchase, and they won't give you a refund either.

Very misleading marketing.

Grateful all in all.

The software took a second to learn. Lots of youtube videos to learn tricks of the software. Here's what I can say, the customer service help was AWESOME. Super responsive.

Best free video editing software

I tested various tools, for me VSDC is simply the best free video editor around. You may need more time to get acquainted with everything but it is absolutely worth it as it has so much to offer. Don't know if it meets super professional demands but you can definitely edit more serious stuff than your casual vacation videos. Highly recommended.

What, this is a FREE Editor?

I just got curious and wanted to start editing some video footage I have shot during our last holidays. After installing and trying out some other free editors I quickly found out that my Laptop is not really up-to-date and editing became quickly frustrating and painful. I am using my Acer Aspire, 8 years old, P6200 @ 2.14 GHz, Win10, 64 bit, 6GB RAM and a simple onboard 128gb Intel GPU. Video editing? Impossible I thought.
After downloading and installing the free version of VSDC I was very surprised with it´s all around performance on my low-budget Laptop and first I thought I must have had installed a Pro version by accident. Something like a 30 day trial. But no, with this free version you get an idea how professional Video editors work and it is packed with tons of options. To really enjoy VSDC you will need some computer skills and intuition, but there are many tutorials out there on Youtube. I love it and VSDC more then enough for my personal use. I consider buying the Pro Version, too.

Worth its entire cost! (i.e., nothing)

Requires installation of an MP4 codec, but doesn't tell you. If you try recording without it, you get an error with no indication of what is wrong.

Screen recordings have horrible flicker, rendering them unwatchable. I've tried both monitors using various settings, and the flickering persists.

Good luck getting help online. Their FAQ page is about as short as Trump's list of qualifications. It literally devotes more space to a couple of worthless images than to the actual questions and answers.

On top of that, it froze on me within the first 15 minutes of use. Garbage.

I'm a student and VSDC is just perfect!

I'm a student and I often need a program to edit some videos and clips for school presentations. I used to rely on windows movie maker, but recently I wasn't satisfied with it anymore!
That's why I decided to change and try VSDC... could't be happier!
The program's interface is simple, everything comes natural and for any doubt I could have... there was a training online explaining me everything!
So satisfied, I really recommend VSDC!!

VSDC is so far my favorite....even the FREE Version

Hello this is my favorite Video Editing, I have only used about 4 maybe 5 so far. I am not in no way a movie making expert, and I have only just started messing around with VSDC Video Editor. I really like this one and am probably going to purchase the full version, even though the Free version is pretty dam good in itself.

Great and easy to navigate

I am a teacher and have been using the free version of this software to make videos for my students since schools have been closed. I have zero experience editing videos. The walk-throughs on YouTube are easy to follow. Just watching one or 2 gives you an idea of how everything is laid out and makes the program more intuitive. Their customer service is awesome! They respond back in less than 24 hours - even to YouTube video comments!

I used the free version of VSDC Video…

I used the free version of VSDC Video Editor to pull together several small holiday clips and merged them into one. It was really easy to use, however, I needed the added functionality of the full paid for version, especially the hardware accelerator feature.

Why can't more software suppliers be liker these guys and have the confidence in their own product to allow you free use of their software!!

Well done VSDC!!!

VSDC Free Video Editor is the best

I use VSDC Free Video Editor in an amateur way, to compile the best moments of my vacation and walk with the family, but I like to do everything with great quality and care, and that was exactly what made me love this program, because it has all the necessary resources to improve my work, and at the same time it is simple and practical to use.
I always recommend VSDC Free Video Editor.
