I love all my classes at Hyde Village
I really enjoy all the classes. It's a great way to meet people and make friends whilst working out. It doesn't even feel like you're exercising. The music is great too
Joined the gym three years ago and was…
Joined the gym three years ago and was initially happy with it but ever since, the level of service i have received has dropped. The jacuzzi i regularly out of use, the sauna and steam room are unhygienic and not properly maintained. The changing facilities are in disrepair, most of the lockers don't work, showers are all faulty. Gym equipment has gradually been removed and never replaced. Paying over £70 per month does not seem justifiable for this level of service which brought me to cancel. 90 day cancellation period means I'm paying another £210 that I am not able to get away from paying or else my details will be forwarded on to the gyms debt collection agency... If you do see past all of these highlights and end up joining, the staff that work in the gym are all lovely and friendly

I did put a glowing review once for this place.
But i got attacked in there changing rooms due to the type of people they let become members. I was only a member for 4 week my wife never even went as she was very ill with MS,
So i didn't want to make any issues for them so i said due to my mental illness i was suffering before i came there the place doesnt fit my needs to keep my mental health in good place.
This lot like robot are now hounding ke for almost £276 to not use there gym! Its sickening how they treat u. Now all i get is emails after email chasing money...
Please say well clear from these gyms they have no care for u or ur health just there bank balance is all they want. Very selfish group.

And if u read this im Mr Mantio how about stop being a robot and talk to me
Great trainers and great staff
Myself and my wife joined the Village gym Maidstone today and Jess our host and very professional lady who helped us sign up was so helpful and friendly and explained all of the options for us. We were very impressed with Jess and all of the other team members who we met and we can’t wait to start our new life journey with a great facility for all ages and abilities. Thank you again and Jess is a star

Useless gym
Signing up to Village Gym Dudley was easy — trying to leave has been a completely different story.
I have had an incredibly stressful experience attempting to cancel my membership after being made redundant. When I went into the gym, I was advised to call head office to explain my situation as I should be able to cancel. However, when I did, I was told something completely different and the call was ended abruptly. The information has been inconsistent throughout.
I have spent around 1 hour and 30 minutes on the phone in total, been hung up on multiple times before even speaking to someone properly, and had emails go unanswered. During one call, the staff member repeatedly spoke over me, dismissed what I was saying, and eventually hung up after saying' yh you aren't understanding goodbye mate'. I was left feeling completely unheard and disrespected.
I was also told that the “3-month trial membership” only applies if you cancel on the same day you join — otherwise you must give a further three months’ notice. This was not clearly explained at sign-up and feels misleading. It is very easy to join, but extremely difficult to leave.
The gym itself is also consistently very busy, and equipment is often occupied by people sitting on their phones for long periods, with no staff intervening to manage the floor. There seems to be very little supervision at times. On multiple occasions, I have felt uncomfortable due to the behaviour of some male members — including staring and using phones in ways that felt inappropriate. On one occasion, men were recording near the swimming pool during a women’s Aqua Fit class, where women were wearing swimwear, which raised serious concerns about privacy and safety. This made the environment feel uncomfortable and not particularly well managed.
Due to redundancy and financial uncertainty, I asked for my membership to be frozen temporarily until I am back on my feet. This was refused, and I am still expected to make a payment that I genuinely cannot afford. I have had to cancel my direct debit out of concern that it would bounce, and I have already been warned about debt collectors. The lack of compassion shown during a difficult personal situation has been very disappointing.
Overall, this experience has been extremely upsetting and disappointing. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both customer service, transparency around membership terms, and the general environment within the gym.

Signing up was easy, but trying to leave has been a completely different story. I’ve had such a stressful experience trying to cancel my membership at Village Gym Dudley. The whole process has felt inconsistent and dismissive. I have even asked for my membership to be frozen until I am back on my feet financially, but this was refused and I am still being expected to pay a fee next week that I simply do not have the funds for. I have had to cancel my direct debit because I am genuinely worried the payment will bounce, and I have already been threatened with debt collectors. Being treated this way while dealing with redundancy and financial uncertainty feels completely lacking in compassion. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, contract terms are meant to be fair and transparent, and this does not feel like a fair or reasonable resolution. I am not trying to avoid responsibility, I am trying to resolve this honestly and respectfully. I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received and would really appreciate someone contacting me directly or providing a direct email for a manager so this can be resolved properly and fairly. On top of all of this, the overall cleanliness of the gym has declined, the equipment and facilities not hygienic, and on one occasion men were recording the swimming pool during a women’s Aqua Fit class, which raised serious concerns about privacy and safety...
I have been a member for over 20…
I have been a member for over 20 years.it has been regularly upgraded and the variety of classes has improved . I use the pool and steam room regularly and generally the maintenance is good . The recent addition of a reformer studio has been a great source of pleasure for me as I attend regularly . I was a bit disappointed `I had to pay extra for my membership to use this facility.
Generally I have ben able to get into the classes I want.
Sometimes communication with members is poor - eg a recent class was cancelled without informing those booked in . Changes to membership perks sometimes not clear eg decision not to give guest passes per month . member discount in bar a good perk.

Terrible experience at the Nottingham…
Terrible experience at the Nottingham Chilwell gym - facilities are uncared for with regular out of order signs across machines & cables. The steam room over the years I've been a member has rarely spit out more steam than your kitchen kettle and the jacuzzi is more often broken than not.
Cleanliness of changing rooms is poor with regular empty shower gel containers.
Tried to cancel - no one in the gym could help me & the online correspondence largely goes unanswered also.
Save yourself the pain and go elsewhere.
My experience at the gym is great.
My experience at the gym is great.
The staff are always friendly & always on hand to help with anything, especially Harry who goes above & beyond to let me know what events are happening (member coffee afternoons etc.)The facilities are great too.
I’m so glad I joined
Warning - Do not trust this company
Warning, avoid this gym !
Contract that you have to sign up for is terrible and designed to ensure maximum profit for the gym - my situation changed and I was at risk of falling into debt so gave notice to terminate my contract for the gym in North Leeds, I was told I would be directly contacted to discuss this but no communication occurred. Two months later I was contacted by debt collection, that was the only communication I had since my initial notification email. I am now being told by the debt collection partner that there is no way around this and will have to pay over £180.
Do not trust his company.

I love the classes and I do a mixture of core classes and trip.
I’ve joined the new Village Gym in Reading.
I’ve recently joined the new Village Gym in Reading. I’m really enjoying the pool, sauna, steam and sauna plus you are made so welcome by the receptionists, specially Laura who is always so helpful. The staff who look after the changing rooms and pool are first class. I’ve haven’t tried the gym or classes yet, but I will soon.
Membership lock in
When you sign up, you will be locked in for 12 months with no option to cancel and will need to pay for the whole 12 months. After this period you will then need to give 3 months notice to cancel the membership.
I would suggest finding a rolling 1 month contract with a cheaper gym.
Village Gym Blackpool - Significant decision without member consultation
A decision has recently been made (but not communicated to members) to add an aqua class on Wednesday lunchtime from next week onwards. (12:30 - 13:15) is the only day of the week when my wife and I (and a few of our friends) are able to swim from 12:00PM without children in the pool and swimming class (which most members take up large areas of the pool from 12:10 PM). There has been no consultation with members on this decision which we ( and many of our member friends) feel is wholly unacceptable- especially since membership costs have just been increased. This decision has been very poorly managed ☹️☹️☹️
Village Hyde - Great gym
Great gym, good facilities and a friendly atmosphere.
The staff are always very helpful and polite.
