Villeroy & Boch appears to offer low-end service at high-end prices.
To obtain help with a delivery issue, I sent messages through the contact form on their website and received no response. I then personally wrote to six members of the Villeroy & Boch team, again without any reply.
Villeroy & Boch does not appear to offer effective customer service. When you contact them about an issue with one of their products, you simply do not receive a response. It is also not possible to leave a review on their website for purchased products, as this feature does not work.
After checking several review platforms, I am not the only person to have experienced issues with Villeroy & Boch. There are reports of cancelled orders without refunds, low-quality products, and lost parcels. On Trustpilot, for example, Villeroy & Boch has a 1-star rating in 74% of reviews.
While Villeroy & Boch invites customers to discover a heritage dating back to 1748, it does not clearly mention that in 1990 the company became a publicly traded corporation. Based on my experience and online reviews, very little seems to remain of the reputation that once contributed to the brand’s prestige.
