Delayed delivery and refund only via bank dispute

I ordered tableware on 1 December for Christmas. The website stated delivery within 7 days, but the order only arrived on 24 December. Because of this delay, I had already bought alternative items and refused the delivery.

When I requested a refund, the customer support was rude and unhelpful. The merchant then misinformed my bank, claiming that a refund had already been issued in order to have my dispute closed. This was not true.

I only received my money back on 11 February, and only because my bank resolved the dispute in my favour.

Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend shopping here.

As indicated in the previous communication exchanged directly by email, the refund has already been issued to the original payment method.

The delay was caused by the chargeback that has been opened by you. In order for the refund to be paid out, the Paypal chargeback must be closed first.

Deceitful

Avoid this brand! Quality has plummeted—dining sets had inconsistent glaze, and glasses stain and stay cloudy, made from cheap Polish glass. Plus, you pay return shipping! Deceitful and disappointing. Don’t waste your money.

A mockery of a premium brand

Shopping on this website was the worst experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been shopping online for 20 years. No contact, no professionalism, and a pseudo-legal explanation about my order cancellation written by a student. Is this how a premium brand represents itself? I didn’t receive my order, neither my refund, despite the information that it would be processed within 3-5 business days. The number listed on their website is broken, and no one answers any messages sent through the contact form. DON'T REPEAT MY MISTAKE!

You will never receive your order and they don't care about clients

On 26 Nov, my father ordered wine glasses as my Christmas gift.
On 11 December, I received information they will be delivered that day.
Without anyone ringing the door we get an email that says 'Sorry we missed you' and information that the glasses will be delivered to the nearest pick up point the day after.
We don't get any information for 8 more days (no pick up bar code that's required).
On 19 Decemver, we get an email without any explanation that a refund will be provided and to place a new order. The email prompted to provide feedback.
Same day I email the person explaining that this is unacceptable, especially before Christmas and without explanation and compensation. I never received a response.
On 22 December, we receive automated email asking us to provide feedback on the glasses purchase, upon clicking on the feedback link no feedback page opens, just the V&B webpage.
This is so poor that I am speechless.

Toilet does not flush away the waste!

It's the first toilet I have ever encountered that does not not flush things away! The design of the toilet is flawed. Several of their products were used in the existing bathroom and all are broken or do not work properly.
We are renovating two bathrooms and will not be using *any* of their products... it looks like overpriced junk.

We bought an entire set of dishes

We bought an entire set of dishes, bowls, coffee cups etc. We love the way they look BUT the dishes show scratches from using knives!! For the amount of money that they cost, that is NOT GOOD!!!

Very poor service

Seven years ago I had a bad service experience with V&B where it took them weeks to supply me with replacement hinges for their defective toilet seat and their local distributor was extremely rude and unhelpful. Now with a new V&B toilet seat the hinge screws fell out and they have not given me the slightest service. They kept promising to help me but never did. Then one of their agents in Belgium sent me a very rude message saying they cant help me and telling me to contact their local distributor, which was closed for a weeklong holiday. Now the toilet seat is broken and the local distributor says they must wait for their supplier to see whether they have a new toilet seat that fits my toilet bowl. There is no end in sight.

I had ordered a taupe coloured subway…

I had ordered a taupe coloured subway 3.0 2 drawer double vanity unit and was told it would be sent to the UK at the begining of may (i ordered it in February) When the bathroom fitter came to put the furniture in the unit would be too large. I asked if i could swap it for a smaller unit and was told that the original one was in production and i couldnt change it as it was made for me, even though its chosen from the order book and they do have runs of furniture making, its just the colour that held it back. I wanted to change to the smaller one and they will not change it - i woudnt mind but i would happily not have the refund of the price difference and just have the smaller unit but they wont even consider that - for a large company they are disappointingly awful at customer service - I will never use them again or recommend them either

I’m very pleased with the service and…

I’m very pleased with the service and acknowledgement that I received from Villeroy & Boch. I would say they’ve never disappointed me and I’ve ordered over 7 times or more from their websites. all of my orders came on time and delivered to me. Also they offer club advantages which is nice for me. Overall brilliant.

Cheaters!

Villeroy & Boch is an unseriouse website. I would not recommend them to anyone. I placed an order, but they later informed me that they couldn't deliver it without providing any reason. I checked the site again and noticed that the same items were still available, so I decided to place another order and paid for them. However, I received the same email notifying me that the order could not be delivered. And I still have not received the money back from them.

AVOID THE COMPANY AT ALL COST. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Ordered Diner plates and spent £550. The plates never arrived. When I emailed I got a reply from someone called CONSIGLIA who basically told me that looking at their system it looked liked the plates had been delivered. The email had no comment on what to do if they were not delivered to me. Had to waste my time going back and forth and filling in a binding declaration to say I had not received them. I repeatedly asked (4 separate emails) to be put in touch with a manager but she completely ignored my request. I then asked if the replacements could be sent express delivery and she said they do not do that. Really?!!! Even if you mess up the order and deliver them to the wrong address!!! I then asked the send the replacement but make sure I sign for them. I was told they would send them the same day but when I emailed the following day she was still waiting for my to confirm. I then requested a refund and was told I have to wait 7 working days to receive it. Not happy at all! If I could give them zero stars I would. Totally incompetent company and staff!!!!

The most dreadful customer service.

My order was due for delivery 14/11/23 via DPD. It didn't arrive and when I checked the tracking it showed the parcel being returned to Villeroy and Boch.
They are impossible to communicate with! The phone isn't answered and the email bounces back as out of service. A reply from the contact form states that I will get my refund when the goods arrive back to their warehouse, but the DPD tracking message hasn't changed since 14/11/23 so the parcel is going nowhere.
I am out of pocket and goodness knows when, or if, I'll get a refund.

Please do not use this Company

Purchased goods and paid over £125 on 7/10. On 16/10 tracked them with DPD as still had not arrived. Noticed the delivery address was partially mine and partially an address I did not know. Immediately emailed and rung V B. They said they couldn’t help. They emailed me back after my call with a contact for DPD which did not exist. Ended up contacting them numerous times, they could not or rather would not contact DPD to amend address. They had the temerity to suggest I reorder goods paying a second time, which I refused to do. Today tracking the goods they were refused delivery by DPD and are their way back to Germany. Two weeks they’ve had my money and I’ve nothing to show for it. They are refusing a refund until the goods arrive back to them. I have demanded a refund now but don’t hold out any hope. If I get a refund it will be 4 weeks after they took my money and kept it without giving me my goods. Atrocious customer service. Definitely disproves German efficiency! Please do not ever buy from them. I wish I had seen the reviews on here as I would never have purchased from a fly by night scam crowd like this if I had.

Return difficult

After a lot of hesitation, I ordered a set of 8 pasta plates on the Villeroy & Boch french site. When I received the articles, I decided to return them as both design and quality were beyond my expectations and experience - I have over 100 articles of the brand. The return instrucions were to take the parcel to chronopost.fr and send it free of charge. The return sticker was not provided, just 'bon de retour'. Chronopost could not accept the parcel. I returned home with heavy box, tried calling the client service, all lignes busy. Left my number to be called back, no luck the same day, still waiting. Sent an email, they acknoledged receiving it, let's see.

ONGOING ISSUE: MANUFACTURE ROCK (Black)

ONGOING ISSUE: We have a large selection of MANUFACTURE ROCK (Black) crockery which is beautiful to look at and use: EXCEPT that all 12 of the Coffee Cups have stains around the rim in the first 12-18 months of use. The cups are thoroughly rinsed with Washing up liquid & a sponge and then washed in the dishwasher after each use.
The "Customer Happiness Team" recommended we use a Ceramic Hob Cleaner (seriously) on the inside of the cups to remove the stains, also telling us to do exactly what we have been doing to clean them. There is clearly a problem in the production of these cups in the firing or glazing but since May 2023, we have had no constructive help or advice from V&B.
We sent an email to the CEO two days ago but have had no response - clearly he does not care any more than the "Customer Happiness Team"!!!! We were promised a call from a UK Retail Area Manager but none has been received. APPALLING & SHAMEFUL SERVICE........
