Vinted allows sellers to sell FAKE…

Vinted allows sellers to sell FAKE items and when you report these FAKE item with evidence they do nothing to rectify it, they don’t refund you and clearly don’t care.
I have closed my account due to this because they themselves are FAKE and don’t look after members very well at all.

Easy to sell items

Easy to sell items. Upload very clear. Everything is tracked and payment held securely until the buyer accepts it. Only danger is you end up spotting some bargains and you were supposed to be just selling. Easy to buy and lots of choice. Delivery is usually quick as most sellers post by the next day. If there is an issue then vinted will support.

I’ve loved being part of the Vinted…

I’ve loved being part of the Vinted community. Buying and selling pre-loved items has been such a positive experience. Buyers often thank me for posting parcels quickly, which I take pride in, and the InPost system has been efficient and easy to use. Vinted makes selling simple, trustworthy and enjoyable.

Terrible

One star because the platform is no longer safe for sellers of non-clothing items. I’ve had multiple packages packed perfectly and sent via their integrated labels, only for them to disappear. It is beyond frustrating to lose stock and money because of a faulty system. Vinted needs to look into their couriers and provide better protection for sellers when items are lost. I won’t be using this app again for anything other than basic fashion.

Customer service / buyer protection fee a joke

Bought a plant pot on Vinted -it arrived smashed. I took photographs and sent them to both seller and customer services.
Customer services slow to respond -so I had to keep getting in touch. They wanted more photographs ( mine were clear etc ) and I told them that the smashed pottery was now disposed of -for household safety.
You have to pay an insurance fee for everything you buy on Vinted but I am apparently not getting a refund and the seller ( who also lied to me telling me I had a refund) is getting his money regardless!
Customer services slow AI which is dire and all this extra “buyer protection “ payment is utter nonsense.

No person to speak to when theres a…

No person to speak to when theres a problem and the print label or digital label always catches me out I press print by mistake ( i dont own a printer) because the options are right next to each other and have to cancel and re-upload drives me mad!

Bad company and a scam company

Please Please people don't buy from Vinted. Most items on there are fake listings just to take your money. I actually think it's the company itself doing this to buyers which is why their payment option is only by card payments. I've had a really bad experience with them i had to contact my bank regarding my issue, also don't wait for the time they tell you to wait for a refund as its a way to buy time so its difficult for you to claim your money back. If your item is not showing as posted after a few days just contact your bank and open a case against this company. They are scamming people .

No protection for sellers

Began using Vinted in 2025 , only to purchase items to begin with.

Found that some sellers were not honest and despite sending items back, these sellers were still allowed to continue without any issues.

I started selling cheap items of good quality but found various buyers taking the items and saying they were faulty, or not even going to pick them up and again no repercussion for the buyers.

I have had items removed/ delisted because they were considered as dangerous yet hundreds of the same items still for sale on Vinted.

Now beginning to be like eBay where they want you to pay extra to bump your items or they won’t be seen.

Giving up, might as well skip the items rather than go through all the hassle.

I am writing this out of sheer…

I am writing this out of sheer frustration after months of dealing with Vinted’s support and legal team, which I have consistently found to be robotic, dismissive, and unresponsive.

I rely on this platform as my primary source of income. I am a full-time mother and carer to a severely autistic child, and I made the difficult decision to leave my part-time job because I was earning a similar income through Vinted while being able to stay at home and care for my child.

Despite my genuine efforts to comply with all guidelines, my account has been repeatedly restricted without clear explanation. My listings are often hidden or removed just as I begin making sales, which directly impacts my income. This has been happening for months.

I use my own original photos, taken at home, often in front of my mirror. I provide clear, detailed listings, and my customer feedback reflects this — my reviews are consistently positive, and buyers are satisfied with their purchases.

However, none of this seems to matter. My items continue to be removed or hidden, sometimes for weeks at a time. Each time I contact customer support, I receive the same generic, copy-paste responses that do not address my concerns. It feels as though no one is actually reviewing my case or reading my messages.

This ongoing situation has caused me significant stress and financial strain. As someone who depends on this platform to support my family, the lack of proper communication and repeated disruptions have made this experience extremely difficult.

I am not asking for special treatment — only for fairness, transparency, and a proper review of my account.

At this point, I would strongly caution others to be aware of these issues before relying on this platform as a source of income.

I decided to have clear out of my shoes…

I decided to have clear out of my shoes late last week and within 2 days I had sold 8 out of the ten pairs
Some of them were top brands others not so but all in good condition
It was really easy to use the web site and they offer a recommended price maybe a bit low but I followed and they sold! The buyer chooses & pays for postage All so straightforward - thanks great experience as a fairly new seller Xx

I bought a dress from Vinted which was…

I bought a dress from Vinted which was described as new but arrived ‘not new’, was clearly used before. Also the dress was odd and of a bad quality. I contacted Vinted costumer service . It took him a few weeks to decide on a £7 dress and 6 staff members: Anastasia, Dmytro, Kelvin, Osman, Roman . The decision was to force me to accept the dress as it was not enough evidence to show that the dress wasn’t new.

Disinterested in a fair delivery service Lazy accountability

Yet again package delivery arrived by Evri smashed... package mistracked for many days then arrived damaged...Despite meeting all packaging requirements and going above specifications Vinted sided with Buyer which I am happy with...... citing insufficient packaging making Evri blameless ..... another lost sale, and again Vinted not making their choice of courier accountable...why pay insurance if Vinted disregard claim by seller for recompense...No strict internal policy.... sorry Vinted... lazy attitude to a bad service you insist is used....

Slow selling process

Sold an item, sent it same day. Waited for buyer to pick up item then had to wait for money to go into my vinted balance. When it did I tried to withdraw it but then got told I had to upload proof of identity before I could get my money. Still waiting for confirmation. The whole selling process is way too long.
