I read the reviews after ordering so I was nervous if I got scammed. Tickets were delivered less than 24 hours after ordering! Great service!
0 stars booked a trip that was cancelled due to the bad weather on February no refund or alternative dates no one could travel nationwide
Worst customer service experience in years. I ordered Oyster Cards for my whole family for my trip to London. When you place your order they seem to suggest that they are charging you 10 pounds to sending the cards DHL. Instead they were sent by Duetsche Post (regular mail) and the envelope arrived opened. It had 1 of the 8 cards that I ordered. The confirmation email and shipping email say to contact them if there is a problem with your order. However, they do not include any contact information, the emails are sent from an email address that does not accept replies, and the links they provided were broken and go to a 404 error page. I had to call the bus department in London to get a phone number and email address for them. I contacted them multiple times by phone and all that got me was an additional $100 on my phone bill since I don't have an international plan. The only response I got from my emails was written by someone who doesn't sound like English is their first language and it gave confusing instructions. Never got a response to my follow up email or call asking for clarification. Had to purchase the cards again once I got to London. Now I have to try to get the $500 in charges reversed from my credit card company. My suggestion would be to deal directly with any company you want tickets for and don't use VisitBritain as a middle man for any of your tickets. Dealing with them was not worth the time, money or stress that I put in trying to resolve this issue. London was beautiful.
Impossible to get hold of and wont respond yo emails! Very frustrating
Complete scam. Took my money for tickets to Hampton Court and promised to email me the tickets 48hrs before the date of entry. No tickets were sent and no response to emails. The telephone number conveniently isn't available right now. How is this company still operating? Really wish I'd read the reviews before buying.
Terrible customer service. I tried to order 1 London map along with 2 Oyster Cards. I couldn’t order 1 map, but could order 1 pkg of 100. When I questioned this, I was told I would have to do a separate order. This means that since I couldn’t include it with my Oyster Card purchase, I have to pay separate international shipping fees. Not worth it for a $2.00 map.
Never got my Oyster Cards. I’ve reached out twice and I’m being ignored.
Don’t order anything from them, they are in business to scam tourists!
Avoid using these people ,I've tried to get in contact and find it very difficult ,spend hours on the phone but no answers. absolute waste of time .
Disgusting treatment, very unhelpful - especially William from the E-commerce & Sales team who did not seem to understand or care that the venue I booked with promised me they had already changed my booking and now my ability to visit has been stolen from me since I can't afford to buy another ticket.
ordered travelcards to use for one day only and they arrived the day after. website rubbish. After seeing reviews now i would never of used them. no customer service after i got through to phone line he put phone down , re rung it and finally got through and still no help .
AVOID !!! do not use scammers !!!
website simply doesnt work. So many issues with it that its impossible to use
Sorry changing my original review. I can't fault the customer service response in terms of timeliness and politeness however they use other suppliers who do not have the same policies for rescheduling tickets as booking directly with the attraction (in this case the Tower of London). Our trains had been cancelled due to Storm Eunice which meant we could not visit the Tower.
I was very surprised to see such a low score for VisitBritain on Trustpilot considering the fab service I have received.
I booked Tower of London tickets via the National Lottery deal and received confirmation emails within the hour, sorted .. due to an unfortunate situation and being unable to attend, I contacted VisitBritain who politely responded to me within a few hours advising that although the terms state no refunds or exchanges, they would contact Tower of London anyway on my behalf to see if they can get my tickets moved. With discussion of preferred date and time etc, they provided me with new tickets within 24 hours. Ruby was so polite and friendly, and stuck with me through the whole email journey meaning I didn't have to repeat myself.
Thank you so much VisitBritain Team, I'm looking forward to attending the Tower of london in a few weeks
They literally scammed me. I ordered a visitor oyster card 3 weeks in advance just to stay safe and make sure I could get it in time. They sent me a tracking number that led me to a broken link page, I went to the post office and they told me they should've known it wouldn't work. Then tried contacting customer service 3+ times and haven't gotten a response back.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HOW THEY TREAT YOU AFTER THEY HAVE TAKEN YOUR MONEY .
NO TICKET , DON'T REPLY TO EMAILS, PHONE CALLS , TERRIBLE WHEN THEY WON'T GIVE YOU A REPLY SENT 15 EMAILS AND 7 PHONE CALLS.
THEY NEED REPORTING TO TRADING STANDARDS.
My girlfriend bought two Oyster cards for our trip to London, we should have received them two weeks ago but haven’t heard anything.
I tried the tracking number they supplied, so rang Royal Mail but they haven’t gave us a legitimate tracking number so they can’t find it, tried emailing their customer service four or five times and I still haven’t had a reply it’s been nearly two weeks since we’ve first emailed.
PLEASE DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!!
I have had a similar issue. I put in the discount code and it showed the discounted amount. However, when I received the email confirmation it stated the full amount. It is absolutely ludicrous. I have emailed Visit Britain CEO, and the National Lottery complaints email address too and raised my concerns
It almost feels like one has been duped by National Lottery and Visit Britain
Worst website ever. They just take your money without issuing tickets. When you email them, they just ignore it. When you email them the tenth time, their response was "due to some small technical issues", yeah it might be small but very shameful. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
Booked via the National Lottery days out scheme. This company does not have any customer service and no way of contacting them part from a online form in which they can take upto 48 hours to respond....well 48 hours has gone and no response!! I booked tickets to only be met with a error on the payment page, so tried to put it through again and this failed with error again. On checking my bank account, two lots of payments has gone through with no confirmation and no tickets. The money taken was well over £100, which I suspect they will never refund. Shame on you VisitBritian!!
E-tickets not received in time for planned visit. Sent 2 messages via their contact form, left a voice message - still no response. Very poor customer service
Absolutely disgusting company. Shocking!!!
Tried to pay for tickets to Blackpool zoo, said error code and was cancelled. Checked my bank they have taken the money anyway £40.
Order still says cancelled so no tickets and have emailed them 7 times to no reply.
I honestly have never dealt with a company so disgraceful in my life and doubt i will ever get my money back.
Shocking that camelot can advertise something that is clearly a scam AVOID AT ALL COSTS
