I've been using this product for over a year and it has recently changed. All previous jars of powder dissolved immediately and left no colour or flavour. This most recent jar no longer dissolves quickly (it sits on top of my coffee and I have to stir it a lot or it clumps), makes my drink opaque, and now I can taste that there is something in my coffee. Very disappointed as I cannot find anything online about them changing the formula of the powder.

Absolutely disgusting service, purchased my product months ago, I have received no communication from the company even though I have written several times. I'm now asking for a refund as I no longer need the product but as I stated they do not communication in anyway with their 'customers' Disgusting.

I've been chasing them for a refund for over 3 months at this point, and the tracker still clearly says the package was never delivered. Customer service (Ali) tried to get me to send him copies of my *personal bank statements* instead of sending any proof of a refund; they are scammers and incredibly sketchy. Don't risk it.

I ordered 4 months ago and they've been giving me nothing but excuses for the past 2 months. The tracker clearly shows that the order is stuck "en route" but I still had to fill out paperwork for them to claim my refund. And for the past two months there's been a new excuse each time I contact them. A total scam.

A month ago I had a question concerning two Vital Protein products. I emailed them with the question and got the automatic reply that said they will respond. I have emailed them again and again no response. Evidently their customer service is not existent.

This company is as dodgy AF!! Don't buy or engage with them. Absolutely evil!!

December 31, 2023 update - it took this company 3 months to finally reply and their reply was empty at best, meaning they didn't address my issues except to say they removed the auto ship, probably because my card company contacted them. My credit card company refunded my money and I threw the bottles away.

Do not trust this company
I accidentally bought collagen peptide capsules instead of marine peptide and I chose an 8 week auto ship. I immediately emailed them to change to marine (& have emailed twice a day since) and also left several phone messages without any replies. The box arrived in a brown paper-wrapped box with only my name/address on it (no return address).
Now, when I go online to look at my order, they want a password (I was never asked to set up an account). So, when I click on "reset password" they say my email address doesn't exists. Now I have no way to stop the auto ship. Again, I've emailed them to stop that, we will see how that goes.
I've contacted my credit card company & they will try to contact them but said either way, I will get a refund.
I will update this if needed.

Warning - chemicals used
I have been using Vital proteins original no flavour since November. I have to say, my nails are not breaking any more, but I have come across something quite disturbing. Through my research, I got in touch with the environmental research centre company and they sent me a report they did on vital proteins in 2017. Like so many other healthy supplements outhere, the report said they are using chemicals such LEAD,which is a poison really. This week I have tried to contact vital proteins via email and social media and even attached pdf document with the proof, buy they are not replying. Just wanted to warn people out there and perhaps you can do your own research.

I only ordered directly from Vital Proteins website because I wanted the version with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C. Costco and other stores only sell the regular collagen peptides version so I never bought from them despite the value is much better in terms of price and container size. I have a subscription for almost a year and to be honest, I loved them, I like Jennifer Aniston and I also found that the formula works for me, however, I’ve not been happy with them lately.

1. Shipping to my city was fast. It took about 2 days to get my products which is great.

2. The jar arrives half full and I assumed because the powder is by weight and not volume inside the jar. I didn’t mind that.

3. However, I realize that like another reviewer said, there’s actually not 28 servings of 2 scoops. There was much less. I don’t recall this issue in the past but for my latest jar, I only use 1 scoop every other day so I noticed that my last jar didn’t even last a month. VP tried to justify this saying that there was some sort of compression or whatever. But still. It’s still misleading to tell people there’s 28 servings when there isn’t.

4. The product claims to easily dilute into cold or hot drinks. It doesn’t. It clumps up in room temperature and cold drinks. It only dissolves entirely in hot liquids or blended well in a blender.

5. Product claims to have no taste. This was true up until the last 3 jars I got. The product started to taste like bone and smelled weird so it was very hard to digest. I tolerated it.

6. Consistency of product changed where it used to be pearly white but every jar I got lately was a bit like sand color and then had little dark specks in it. Maybe it doesn’t affect the product, but as a person, if you’re ingesting something and the formulation looks off, you have the right to be skeptical.

If they fix these problems, I'll resubscribe but now, I'm looking for other alternatives that are less expensive and more consistent.

Bought from the uk site had no idea the product was shipped from USA tried to speak to customer services who were useless and tried to say the website states USA ( it’s says uk) will be chasing through PayPal

Like the reviews before me, I have never received my product form Vital Proteins. Cannot contact them, they ignore me. My bank is disputing the charges.

Not seen a difference and be WARNED! 20MG of sodium which is classed as too high. Best avoid.

In October 2021 I placed an order which I never received. It is now January 10, 2022 and I still have not been able to reach the company. I’ve read some previous reviews & see this is not uncommon. I’ve called & left messages, tried the chat function, left numerous emails but to no avail. They are just plain ignoring me & keeping my money. To me, this is theft. If you want to buy their product, go to another vendor. Personally, I will never buy anything from Vital Proteins again, this terrible treatment from their customer service is a reflection of the entire company. Every time I see their spokesperson Jennifer Anniston on TV selling their products, I get angry.

I didn't get the order on time and it was not my house so when I left it wasn't there yet and delivered later, nowiam on my way to pick it up, extra time, energy and money wasted, just buying it from other companies over the counter would be less hassle...

My experience is in line with the other poor reviews. Love their product but their customer service is abysmal and, there are other brands that have good customer service. I emailed them about a price increase notice (my products weren't covered on the notice). No answer on any phone calls, I had to submit questions via the customer portal over the course of 4 weeks and when I finally got a reply, it didn't answer my question. I started out as a monthly subscriber to the powdered collagen, joint collagen and a couple other supplements. Unfortunately, since I can't get my questions answered, I've moved to a different brand. I am still waiting for a refund for an order that STILL shows as unfulfilled on the portal but was charged for the product. Bad, bad, bad customer service. With this type of product, customer service is key. It's too easy to go elsewhere. Boo Vital Proteins!

Do not order from this company in the U.K.
I had to return a product and followed all their instructions (spending nearly £80 to send it back to the US) and got confirmation that they had received my return, but weeks and weeks later and despite numerous requests from me I have yet to receive my refund.
There is only a customer service function in the U.K. and they try and be helpful but ultimately have no power to do anything.
I’m still waiting and nearly £300 out of pocket.

I had a bad experience ordering from their website. The product never arrived. When I got in touch with their customer service, they claimed that according to the courier they use, this had been delivered. As it happened, I was home all day on the date they said delivery was supposed to have taken place. The doorbell didn't ring once and there was no note, so I don't think what they claimed was true. Also, according to the tracking link I had been sent, the package still showed as being 'out for delivery'. They did refund the cost of the order, but not the delivery cost, which was £3.99. So in essence, I was charged for absolutely nothing. Would never order from them again. I wish I'd seen the other reviews on here before ordering since it seems my experience was not unique.
