VOIPO cheats its customers!

VOIPO overcharged my credit card $1,480.00 for multiple subscription cycles without my authorization. I contacted them via their support portal. They responded back acknowledging their error and they promised that their billing department will refund the payment. Although it has been more than 3 months since the original complaint and despite my attempts to reach out to VOIPO again to remind them about the refund that they owed me, I have not received any payment. I am most surprised how VOIPO continues to stay in business despite cheating so many customers.
My efforts to reach out to Capital Bank for assistance which issued the credit card have not yielded any fruitful results either.

Hard to be constructive and positive…

Hard to be constructive and positive when there is no answer, nothing but empty promises and the same automated message when trying to reach someone live. Additionally, they have music that plays and periodically inserts a shrill whistle or bell clang that causes you to move the phone from your ears. Yet another attempt at getting you to "go away". I have been charged as well - unauthorized - for phone service almost a YEAR in advance and have no intention of keeping this service. Repeated efforts to reach out brings the same lip service "we're working on it, so sorry...." Companies - do yourself a HUGE favor and RUN - don't walk - away from them. They are unprofessional, uncooperative, downright criminal in how they are choosing to do business. There is NOTHING useful about this company.

Deliberately overcharging and not refunding

Voip has overcharged my mother a total of three times for two years of service. They owe her $555.00. I first complained in January and they are still delaying as of today. It's now 06/15/25. I've submitted complaints to the FCC and the FTC today.

Customer for 12 years, nevermore.

Customer for 12 years, but bailing out. Recharged for 2 years of service 3 times in the last year, and twice before that. Garbage feedback about billing systems upgrades, no refunds, phone number doesn't work, ticket system breaks consistently and 'loses my history.

Run away and don't give them any payment information.

We were erroneously charged $185 8 times from July 2024 to Jan 2025. When I called in Feb 2025 they said they were having a problem with some new billing software and would get me a refund asap. After several calls and emails since then ... no refund. I'll have to file fraud charges I guess.

Voipo is ripping me off

I was charged eight times over a years time at $185 each unauthorized... by VOIPO. Unfortunately I did not notice it as it goes through autopay on my credit card. Now that I have noticed, I have sent in several tickets and I keep getting the runaround. They're looking into it, they're going to fix it, blah blah blah blah blah. Is there some way we could do a class action or something? This is ridiculous! Tons of people are being ripped off!

Guys I see that there are many people like me who have been overcharged. I have been charged for 3 telephone lines until 2039. The company is not responding to my emails. I have already communicated with my lawyer. Actually, there was no credit card details on file. They have pulled my credit card details and charged me. THAT IS A FRAUD AND STEALING MONEY FROM CREDIT CARD. Any one interested in filing a legal case against them. Will have to share the legal costs. We can claim compensation for FRAUD committed by them.

I’ve been overcharged for $185 per year…

I’ve been overcharged for $185 per year sometimes multiple years in advance. I cannot get a refund for the latest overcharge that happened in March of 2025. I keep getting excuses as to why I cannot be refunded - like they have a new accounting system that doesn’t work right, etc. They also tell me it will take from 30 - 45 days to get a refund. In addition to very poor support like this, the quality of the phone service is terrible, with poor line quality, calls not going through, etc. I tell people to avoid Voipo - they’re awful!

They charged my card 2 years after I cancelled my subscription.

I cancelled my subscription to VOIPO in 2023 because we were not using our landline anymore. Two years later, in 2025, they charged my credit card 185$. I contacted them by mail and they said they would pass it on to the billing department. Nothing happened. I tried to call; waited online for an hour and 20 mins, no response. Their life chat is not working anymore either. Finally, I challenged the payment via my credit card company and they reimbursed me but then my credit card was blocked and had to get a new one. What a hassle !!! My advice: stay away from VOIPO.

VOIPO double billed me and won't give me my money back. 75 days later, and they tell me that they'll eventually get to it. That's a quote. It took 1 hour 18 minutes for them to answer my call. Every email gets the same reply...they're working on it. DON'T TRUST THEM! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

I’ve been a Voipo customer for over 12 years and they were great till about a year ago when they started charging us $185 every month. I didn’t catch it till about 6 months in. I emailed them to get a refund and after like 3 months of fighting with them we got refunded for only 2 of the charges. They said that the only way they could refund the rest was through PayPal and not back to my card. So I kept writing them and the out of the blue in March I got charged twice again so I was back to square one. Now I’m going through my bank to get refunded for the last 2 charges and the rest will be a loss because they aren’t responding.

VOIPO LLC-Fraudulent Billing even after cancellation of Service

I have had a real bad experience with VOIPO, LLC's business practices and possible fraudulent activities. I subscribed to their service in March-2021 and subsequently cancelled my subscription in Mar-2023. I received a confirmation as well to that effect. However, they charged my Cr Card on file again in Mar-2025. They did it twice. My complaints to refund the money have been responded to by stating that they have had 'invoicing' issues in the system and an assurance that they will refund the money. This has been going on for the past 4 weeks. I have also filed a complaint with my Credit card and they are investigating. How come this company does not have issues in their billing system while charging me but has system issues while refunding? Please be careful in dealing with them.

VOIPO Charged me $ 185 on March 5 2025. I had cancelled their service in 2024. They never even give me a credit for the remainder of the service period. I send an e mail asking them for immediate refund and never to charge me again. They said it was a billing mistake and they will take care of it in 30 days.
Now I don't even get a reply for my e mails . It is imposiible to get any person on the phone.
This business is scamming people.
I plan to report to better business bureau and other authorities.

Fraud Charges galore

VOIPO fraudulently charged me three times for $185 in March 2025 totaling $555.

Emailed them over and over about the refund and I keep getting an automated response claiming it's a "glitch" made by their system and they would forward my issue to billing for a refund. It's been one month and nothing. I am now in the middle of a dispute with my credit card company Elan and based on another reviewer's account, I will probably be responsible for $555 in fraudulent charges even though I have a ton of emails, screenshots proving VOIPO admitted they are fraudulent charges.

They once were good, now they are fraudulent

Like most of these reviews, in 2024 they fraudulently charged me for renewals 6 months in a row. I say fraudulently because they admitted the error, promised a refund and like so many others, I got no refund. Now it is impossible to get through to customer service. There is no way to cancel service via the website, or remove your credit card. With no customer service, how do I even cancel service? They run out the clock with your credit card because past a certain length of time, the credit card company will not refund the charges. STAY AWAY FROM VOIPO!!

This "was" a good company before 2024…

This "was" a good company before 2024 in my opinion. I canceled my service which I had for more than ten years due them charging for future services without my concent. I discontinued service on 09/30/2024 after returning equipment and received most of my money back. They attributed this to problems in their accounting department.
Well forward to March of 2025 and I get two charges totaling $370 that I am still fighting today. Again their accounting problems so they say but still no money. If you're in the same predicament as me, call your credit card company and put a block on Voipo ASAP. My credit card company Elan financial will not back me to get my money back even though I said it was fraud. I will be cancelling that card next week. I filed a complaint with BBB and saw that all the other camplaints aligned with mine. When I went back to BBB to see if my complaint was posted all I saw was written in red "business profile being updated". Now people cannot read reviews or complaints regarding Voipo On BBB. Hope this helps someone so you don't make the same mistake. Thanks, Jack C
