vonder upriver

I lived at Upriver for a few months and I really recommend this place mainly because of the location since everything is literally within reach from cozy spots by the Vistula River to cool clubs and great restaurants. The building itself is very modern and the apartments are beautifully designed. The on-site team is super helpful you can always write to them or just go downstairs and everything is sorted fast. I especially love Aggie who every time she comes from London brings such a great vibe. She creates superb Instagram content and really makes sure the place stays stylish plus you can always learn something from her. Piotrek also does an awesome job with events and creates a great atmosphere and together with Aggie they make the Upriver dream team. I met so many people here.

It’s rare to find a place that balances…

It’s rare to find a place that balances comfort, community, and consistency so well, but Vonder Upriver has done exactly that. Having experienced the space over the last three years, I can say with full confidence that it’s not just a place to stay it’s a place to feel at home.

A huge part of that experience is thanks to Aggie and Piotr, who have been nothing short of exceptional. Their dedication to maintaining a welcoming, well-run environment shines through in every detail, from the cleanliness and organisation of the common spaces to the personal care they show each resident.

Aggie brings a warm professionalism that makes every interaction smooth and respectful. She listens, acts, and leads with a sense of integrity and kindness that sets the tone for the entire community. Piotr is equally commendable, always present, always reliable, and incredibly efficient. Whether it’s handling maintenance, logistics, or simply offering a friendly word, his contribution is the backbone of what makes Vonder Upriver work so well day to day.

In a city that can often feel transient, Aggie and Piotr have made Vonder Upriver feel rooted, stable, and genuinely cared for. Their consistent presence and proactive approach have turned this space into something more than just shared housing, it’s been a dependable and supportive home.

I highly recommend Vonder Upriver to anyone looking for more than just a roof over their head. If you're lucky enough to be under Aggie and Piotr's care, you're in very good hands.

It was a very pleasant stance!
Vonder München was a good surprise. I didn't expected it was EXACTLY as they describe and as it is in the pictures.
Even they have a lot of rooms in the building, they manage to everything be very clean and organized.
Super recommended for short or long-term stays.

Horrible experience

I have been at Vonder Wembley for 9 months and have had the same issues for 9 months. I have made complaints via email and group chat and the management has not yet carried the necessary repairs. The gym has had a lead for months now with a bucket under it, we have no security or CCTV- intruders come in and harass tenants. Building is decaying and completely abandoned, no repair and up keeping is done.

As an update to my review after Vonder replied. I honestly recommend you joining the group chat for Wembley to see the frustration of the entire community in there. The security has been an issue for a long time and just today we have received email from management with LIES about the incident when people have proof of what happened in videos on their phone.
The leak has been an ongoing issue for over 9 months I am sorry but no investigation takes that long.
The parcel area is constantly disorganised whilst receptionist talk ok their phones all day.. the building is absolutely ABANDONED and you can try and mask and protect the situation as much as you want to but the unhappiness of the tenants will speak for itself!!

Update 2: it’s now the 3rd consecutive Thursday I have no hot water in my flat. The building manager said it should have been fixed and not happen again before this lol

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way and we’d like to address the points you’ve raised.

From what we can see in our system, there are currently no open repair requests under your name. If you experience any issues in your flat, please reach out to us directly or see us in the office, we’re always happy to help as quickly as possible. If you're referring to the boiler situation, we’re aware that some flats have had issues and that’s why we’re running a full inspection across the entire building in early June. With so many flats in the property, we want to take a comprehensive approach to ensure everything is done properly in one go. As we’ve discussed, you do currently have hot water.

Regarding the gym, we’re aware of the leak and are actively working on it. Some of the infrastructure issues are due to how the pipes were originally installed and unfortunately not fully within our control, but our team is on-site whenever something occurs and deals with it immediately. The leak has been fixed several times but occasionally resurfaces, and we are doing our best to find a lasting solution.

As for security, there is CCTV in the building and we have 24/7 security on site, as well as we doubled security presence during night hours. The situation you're referring to involved an intruder entering the property during a short window when the officer was on patrol. Within few minutes, the officer returned, acted immediately and contacted the authorities. No tenants were harmed and there was no damage. We do have footage of the incident and are still reviewing it internally to identify where we can improve. Your feedback is being taken seriously and is part of our ongoing assessment of how to strengthen safety further.

I recently had an issue with my rent…

I recently had an issue with my rent (through no fault of my own), and Carl Whyte was an absolute standout in helping resolve it. From start to finish, he was incredibly professional, friendly, and supportive. Carl went above and beyond to ensure the situation was handled quickly and efficiently, keeping me updated throughout the entire process. His communication was clear and consistent, which made a stressful situation much easier to manage. I'm genuinely grateful for his help and would highly recommend Carl to anyone needing assistance—he's a true asset to his team.

I have generally enjoyed staying withGood Overall Experience, but Disappointed with Flexibility…

I have generally enjoyed staying with Vonder during my visits to munich and appreciate the quality of service and accommodation provided.
However, I was disappointed with how the extension and checkout process was handled during my recent stay. Despite informing in advance about my checkout date, there was a lack of clear communication regarding rent charges, and flexibility that was offered to others was not extended in my case.
I hope Vonder can improve transparency and flexibility in the future to maintain the high standards I have previously experienced.

We were quite surprised to read your review, as we parted on good terms and did everything we could to support you during your check-out. Just to clarify, our standard policy is communicated at the beginning of each stay and followed up with reminder emails. Check-out is at 11:00 and any request for a later check-out is normally subject to an additional charge.

In your case, although we weren’t able to offer an extension of contract, we did make an exception by allowing a late check-out at no extra cost. This was a gesture of goodwill, so it’s unexpected to see it described as a lack of flexibility.

The team is very responsive to emails…

The team is very responsive to emails and stuff at the reception is really kind and helpful.

Also even though Vonder’s location is just by the tram station, the sound insulation is good and voice does not disturb you.

The downside is, sink in the kitchenette is too small to wash pans etc.

There should be some recreational…

There should be some recreational activities as community. 1 or 2 games tables are there but one of them are not in working condition. Secondly there should be cleaning service included for longer contract residents at least once in a month.

Rent arrears that’s aren’t arrears!

Still waiting on our deposit being returned to us even though new tenants have now moved in.
Have emailed 3 times have been ignored each and everytime.
Would not recommend this place at all.

FURTHER UPDATE:

In reply to your comment of rent agreed on the 1st of the month, that is indeed correct however we had an agreement from the start and was never an issue until Mr White took over, from here he caused all sorts of issues, but regardless of this we are not in rent arrears, in effect we paid in advance but the Vonder lot can’t seem to understand this.

UPDATE:
Got confirmation that we won't get our deposit back due to rent arrears........absolute BULL! From the day we moved in to the day we left we paid our rent ON TIME on the 17th of each month which was agreeded upon moving in. We are the ones owed money not Vonder.

I have read so many reviews with people saying the same thing over and over, their deposit was being with held.

Honestly this company are a joke, we had lived here for 2.5 years with a window we could not open, a dishwasher that broke every other day, parcels being stolen from the hallway due to the door being broke (constantly).

Police letters being left by the post boxes warnng people of drug use in the complex (the smell of weed in the hall was unbareable). On one occassion around 50 teenagers had a party with the heluim gas, police came and arrested a number of people.
In total the police where in New Horizons about 20 times in the duration we lived there.

Management are the hardest people in world to get hold of, either ignore your mails or lock off your calls.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Due to our Vonder policy and the agreement you signed, rent is always charged from the 1st of the month for all residents. This has been explained to you multiple times via email, so we’re unsure why this is still being questioned.

We understand this can be frustrating but there are specific reasons why the deposit has not been returned. These were outlined in the tenancy agreement and further details have already been communicated directly.

Impressive Apartment

I recently moved into a Vonder flat at Angerburger Allee, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the bright, spacious layout and modern finishes. The natural light floods in through large windows, making the space feel warm and inviting.

The kitchen is fully equipped with sleek appliances and plenty of storage, making cooking a joy. The bedroom is cozy yet roomy, with a great closet space—something I really appreciate. The bathroom is clean and stylish, with excellent water pressure (a big plus!).

Location-wise, it’s perfect—close to shops, cafes, and public transport, making commuting and running errands a breeze. The building is well-maintained, quiet, and has a friendly atmosphere. The landlord/property manager has been responsive and helpful, which makes everything even better.

Overall, I’m thrilled to call this place home. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located flat! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This building might have had its ups…

This building might have had its ups and downs. But at the moment the amenities for residents have significantly improved.
We decided to renew our tenancy here with the help of Guy - who made himself available to answer all our questions and was super honest with us all the way!
