Tried to cancel my order after reading the reviews on trustpilot - wasn't able to do so. Thought I was buying this hair dryer from a UK company - no they are based in China. It's a poor quality hair dryer and smells of burning when I turned it on. I can't use it! Like all the other comments, I can't return the item unless I pay for shipping costs and any custom fees in China!
Many emails back and forth to Vortehair and the offers have gone from 5% to 50% refund. It's a joke! Hopefully my bank can recover the full cost.
Please do not fall into the trap. DO NOT BUY.

Great drier but cord far too short unfortunately

AVOID!!!!!!!A bunch of crooks, not a company!!! I warn you against buying!!!! A crappy dryer from China, no power, rubbish, below is the company's response to my request to accept a return:
"Hello,

There is nothing wrong with our products. I need to explain that it is troublesome to return the goods.

Please note:
You need to return the goods and pay for the shipping, as well as the customs duties. It will cost a lot of money and time to return the goods from your place to China.

In this case, how about we refund you 5% of this order and you don't return the package? You can leave the items there as a gift for your friends or family.

I tried to purchase a hair drier from Volthair in December 2024 - which they confirmed would arrive in 3 to 5 working days. It never arrived well beyond that time and replues to my emails were the same, saying arriving within 3 to 5 working days. It is not possible to speak to a person and it became clear that all communication is AI generared via "Lucy". I cancelled my payment with my credit card company and "Lucy" started generating emails offering compensation of 10 to 50% for late delivery. The item did arrive very late. The company ("Lucy") offered 50% discount if I cancelled dispute. I did as I had recrived the item and a full payment was made to the company. I informed the company and sent them a copy of my email to my bank cancelling my dispute. I asked for the offered compensation for late delivery and the AI - Lucy sent me a series of emails asking for screen shots of dispute cancellation etc saying that payments could only been made with this information. I answered many times that they have all the information and could check with their bank that my full payment had been made. The context of my emails was ignored repeatedly and it became that this AI managed company would not make any compensation payments. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

AVOID AVOID AVOID this company. Same as in many other reviews.... they won't process a return unless you send the item to China at your own expense and then perhaps you have neither the refund nor the hairdryer. THIS IS A SCAM selling a product from China, but supposedly from UK, for much more than it is worth with no after sales or returns backup.

We purchased a hair dryer, no power, nothing like a Dyson or Philips hair dryer, we expressed that we were not happy with the hair dryer, a number of emails going around in circles offering 10% refund encouraging me to keep it, I refused as it’s never been used, I was offered 15% encouraging me to keep a product I don’t want and will never use🤷🏽

I purchased a £150 VorteHair hairdryer, which arrived faulty and non-functional. The company refused a refund and demanded I pay £50 to return it to China, which is against UK consumer law. They offered only a 30% refund if I didn’t return it—completely unacceptable.

After checking reviews, I found many others scammed the same way—they claim returned items are “lost” and never refund. This is a fraudulent company. Avoid and buy from a reputable retailer instead!

Do not buy from this company, I paid £159 and received an empty box 10 days later. Total scam.

Do not buy anything from this horrible business. There is no way of returning the cheap and nasty products. That is unlawful. Abject failure to respond to a single negative review says it all. They are scammers and they’ve just cost me £160.

Не even dare to order anything there, and make sure to read all the negative reviews. If you contact this store, you will be dealing with scammers who sell a cheap Chinese hairdryer shipped from a Chinese website. You will not have the right to return it, and you will not get your money back.

This company will not allow a return- even if is not working.

I ordered from Vortehair a few weeks ago, stupidly without reading these reviews. However, luckily the hairdryer arrived within 5 days & has been really good ! Maybe I was just lucky. Not happy to see one review saying it's £100 overpriced though 😕

THEY ARE CHEATERS!! Don't trust any positive reviews you may find on fake websites. I had cancelled the order prior to shipping but they sent it to me anyway, so I refused to accept the delivery. The parcel has been returned to their warehouse but I haven't got my money back. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM!!!

I was well and truly duped by "best buy" and website for this company. Promised pre Christmas delivery, but didn't arrive until new year. Paid £159 for a hairdryer that is readily available for £59. Company does not have a UK based as inferred. Returned the product as a matter of principal but was charged 15% for returning, plus customs duty (returning goods should be exempt) and postage was £30, so I'm down £80+
Don't make the same mistake that I did and avoid this company

Scam. Usually don’t fall for them but this one’s pretty good! If you’ve been scammed contact your bank. Mine were fantastic and after looking into them got my money back. Ignore any threatening messages from vorte all crap.

I never received mine, they won't send me another one and / or refund my money.

An complete scam! avoid like the plague! they pose as a UK company despite being in China, the hair dryer is poor quality for the money, and i’ve been trying to return it, they make is so difficult in the hope you give up! Lucky Visa are helping me claim my money back. The most awful company I have ever dealt with in 50 years!!

I keep receiving emails from this company but I can’t unsubscribe as the link says not found. I have emailed their customer service, but just told to unsubscribe which I can’t do.
There is no phone number to call and I don’t want this company keeping my details.

Scammers. This organisation is using fake reviews. DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCUM OF THE EARTH CRIMINALS.
