Could not recommend WantHair UK highly enough!

Amazing team of people who truly want to make sure that you are well supported though the process of a hair transplant journey and want the very best for you.

I felt fully informed and in control the whole time from start to end and it was even better knowing that no question was a stupid question.

Big thank you to Matthew and Becky who guided me through my consultation, advice given on surgery day and checking in everyday since my operation.

I’m already so pleased with the experience I have experienced so far, not it’s just the waiting game for the hair regrowth! Thank you guys so much ♥️

(Want Hair) are nothing less than amazing! My experience started around Oct 2023 after spending hours of research and investigation with other clinics in Turkey, etc. The one thing that stood out from Want Hair is that they weren't pushy and never told you things that you wanted to hear. This, on it's own was a green flag. They are UK based but are also able to act on behalf of clinics in Istanbul. So you get the choice of both depending on your preference. Win win already.

Itinerary went perfectly, from the get-go better than I thought. They really showed care. I can't knock them. Matt was my case handler, and so a big short out to Matt!! communication skills were exceptional and even up to now. In fact It's worth pointing out that whoever deals with you from the first point of call to midway of going ahead may not always 100% be at hand for when you try to touch base, however the next representative would know everything about you and deal with you in the exact same way... so I'm sure they inform each other via one group, I assume. So you never have to build rapport all over again, in other words....they are all just brilliant!!

Haven't even mentioned the results of my hair yet!! I honestly believe I couldn't have been looked after throughout my procedure any better! The surgeon and technicians were sensational... the quality and care that was taken reflects on today's result two years on to this very day. So, I wanted to share this today to give the most realistic and genuine feedback from the outcome of my results. I will give it a 10/10 for experience and 10/10 for satisfaction! Do note I may have to come back and leave more of a review as I could easily expand further about my pleasant experience, but I will stop here for now until I feel otherwise.

Want hair have made a potentially strange / weird experience hassle free. Communication has been first class and they referred me to an excellent clinic in London. I look forward to seeing the results.

Dealt with Tristan from the get go and later Becky, can’t fault the service at all, no BS just good service and honesty. Based on Tristan’s incredible knowledge and experience I can only presume he holds a bibles worth of hair qualifications, Tristan went above and beyond to put me at ease and kept me in the loop before and after the surgery.

Would highly recommend booking with Ed and the team at Wanthair, right from the first enquiry the service has been first class and the team in Turkey went above and beyond to make everything as smooth as possible. Great hotel and transport all provided so it’s as easy as possible once landing in Istanbul and then fantastic aftercare from Phi in the Uk answering any questions.

I was super on edge at first about having this done, but I took my chance and I couldn’t be happier. I had a great experience with Want hair down in Harley street, long procedure but super smooth and took great care of me. As well as this on the side line, Clyde has been supporting me through this time, and his continuous support means a lot. Always there anytime for support and clarification:)

Communication from Ed and Phi was 10/10 from start to finish. The whole process was explained very clearly, any queries answered honestly and in full. As a natural over-thinker there were many things I needed/wanted clarification on, pre-op and post-op, and both Ed and Phi were very responsive at all times throughout the day, very patient but most of all reassuring. I first started looking for a beard transplant over 2 years ago, I enquired to around 10+ places in Turkey and the UK. I actually ended up booking with a company in Turkey and had to cancel due to being scammed (had to sign an NDA to get my money back) so I can’t name the company.

I then finally got back in contact with Want Hair, and spoke to Tristan, Tristan guided me through everything, he was upfront and honest within certain aspects of the hair transplant and was never trying to upsell something you wouldn’t need, having a hair transplant himself, he has an understanding of his process and can help you really relate to the uncertainty you will have when booking.

So once you book in a lot of the communication goes silent, don’t be alarmed. If you have a question just message and they’ll get back to you usually within a day. You will get anxious and nervous and think “is this actually legit?” YES IT IS LOL. I went through the same thing and if you just message your advisor you will relax.

3 days before my surgery I was put into a WhatsApp group with Becky and Tristan, this group was basically a refresher with a load of information that you must follow prior to your transplant, you can also ask any questions that you may have thought of during the many months of silence and anxiousness lol, but honestly you are now just days away.

I had my transplant on 06/11/25 with Dr Munir in Manchester. I was very anxious about the day (as everyone will be) but for saying I thought it was going to be a random back alley clinic, it was TOP QUALITY. The staff were friendly and always trying to keep you informed, Dr Munir was great, he speaks at about 10,000mph so just ask him to repeat if you don’t understand what he’s going on about, he also refers everything to gardening which really helps you understand the medical references he’s saying.

NOW for the really honest part. IT HURTS LIKE HELL. The day started with the form signing and the remaining payment, I then went through and had blood pressure taken and a health document was done. (Even though I’d done it over the phone on two separate occasions lol). Once that was done I watched a video from Dr Munir explaining a lot of stuff and I definitely recommend watching and taking it in, I then went through to have a chat with Dr Munir where he drew all over my face and explained everything again and made sure I was 100% with everything explained. I then went for a haircut, they were only supposed to shave the back and sides but the nurse decided she wanted all my hair off so don’t bother getting a high fade or anything as they’ll take it off anyway lol. Then I was taken through for the donor area to be harvested, please do not think this bit is easy. The needles they shove in to your head for about 4/5 minutes straight is a pain I’ve never experienced in my life. I have multiple tattoos all over my body and was expecting this to be quite easy. ITS NOT! But after them 4/5 minutes you will be fine, can’t feel a thing, and if you can, tell them straight away and they will top you up straight away. You will also have your head lent on and put in horrendous positions for a large amount of time, so again, if you are uncomfortable, tell them! They will let you stretch your neck.

Once your donor area has been completed they will strap you up and let you have lunch (they supply). This bit felt abit too long but nurses have to have their lunch break aswell, so just try and relax and sit on your phone for abit.

Next came another horrendous part, I had to have all them needles now in my face, and trust me it was hell.. but again was the anaesthetic has kicked in after a few minutes, you can’t feel a thing. This is where your doctor will come and make all the incisions (the nurses do EVERYTHING except the incisions), this again is a moment of where you are put through being lent on, your head being in horrendous positions so just try ride it out until you are physically starting to be in pain, it doesn’t last long.

Now we move on to the nurses now implanting all your grafts, this bit is truly draining, your day so far is very tiring and you are now on the last lap, you will have 2/3/4 people all inserting grafts in your face/head and this part for me took around 3+ hours so was really tiring.

After they were done, they give you a saline spray bottle and go through the aftercare with you. Please listen to this and make sure you go through it properly.

- Make sure you stay over the night before and the night of your stay (I did this and I deffo recommend)

- Take a dark coloured towel with you as you will bleed a lot over night (I didn’t do this and ruined the hotels pillow)

- Make sure you have big bottles of water and some easy to eat food ready (I didn’t do this and had to walk to a shop, I was shattered and in pain

- I sprayed every 15 minutes for 7 days rather than the 3 they say to

LOOK AFTER YOURSELF FOR MINIMUM 2 WEEKS!!

Aftercare and communication has been fantastic.

Good all round experience and surgery. Fully informed throughout during the day which all went to plan.
Excellent post surgery review and backup support.

Tristan walked me through every step of the way, was extreme helpful and made me feel as if I didn’t have any silly questions. Went through all my questions and answered them amazingly and put me off feeling nervous. He was extremely polite towards myself.

12 months on and I couldn’t be happier with the results I have had. The support and advice I have had from Tristan and his team has been great and really encouraging. Still experiencing new hair growth and excited to see what happens in the next few months!

Took me a year to get over the line but wish I had it done sooner! Matt was my consultant he was open and honest throughout and told me exactly what I could get from the surgery.

After the procedure, the follow-up care was excellent I was asked to send daily pictures for 10 days so they could monitor my progress. Phi and Matt checked in regularly to make sure everything was going smoothly.

From the start Matt and Becky were very accommodating and informative, running through every aspect of the operation which really put my mind and rest.
After the operation the guys were great keeping an eye on progress and offering any advice where needed.

I was a bit nervous about approaching for this, and especially as I don't want anyone to know I've had this done. Matt immediately put me at ease, messaging first, before agreeing to have a call to discuss it.

Throughout the whole process I felt very supported by both Matt and Sophie. On the day at the clinic, everyone was really nice and I felt super well looked after.

Looking forward to seeing the results in some months. But the support along the way to date has been great.
