Wattum Reviews 

I've been hosting with Wattum since August at their MB facility in Canada, and so far the experience has been very good. Solid uptime. Its also very convenient for me as a Canadian to have my units hosted in Canada vs US. In case I decide to take my units back I won't have to move them across the border.

I was very hesitant dealing with Wattum after reading all the negative reviews, but after speaking with Azam (who has assured me that all the reviews were pertaining to legacy issues that have since been resolved) I decided to take the risk and give them a try. Back in July I've ordered 20x S19J Pros at a great price without hosting at first, and they were delivered to my then hosting location in about 10 days, and the price was great. Shortly after however the facility I was hosting with went out of business, and I decided to give Wattums hosting a try while purchasing 10 additional j pros. They've helped me relocate my units from TX to their NY facility, and I've been online since late August with 0 hiccups as of right now. The whole process took about 2 weeks. I can safely say that they've exceeded my expectations, and so far my overall experience has been very positive. I will make sure to update this review if anything changes.

Wattum is absolute garbage. They have completely mismanaged my KZ-based miners, which I purchased for over ~100k in the summer of 2021 and have yielded (checks math) about 0.2 bitcoin (yep, about $4k return). Since March of 2022 Wattum has been dragging its KZ customers out with empty promises, missed deadlines, hot potato customer service, and absolutely shady explanations on why everything is the world's fault and not their own.

I have spoken directly with operators at the KZ facility (Enegix) where Wattum was sending their customers' miners. The assertions Wattum has made over the months do not comport with the statements made by Enegix, and it is very clear that one or both are lying. Wattum has changed its story multiple times, and the only instance where they are quick to communicate with you is if it's related to billing.

STAY AWAY FROM WATTUM. Biggest financial mistake of my life was trusting these guys.

What a terrible experience. First, they sell you hosting in a different country, without disclosing any problem. Next they take more than half a year to get the miners out of that country, moved to another location. Mind you, your miners aren't hashing that entire time! Of course, the communication during that entire time is absolutely minimal. It's like pulling teeth.

I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Take your business elsewhere, unless you want t terrible experience.

Wattum is perhaps the most crook company in all of the third party mining solutions available to us as US customers. They have cheated me (and at least 75+ others that I know of who are in the Telegram group) with lies and after lies. I had miners in KZ with them and I understand that the government problems are not of their own. However, what is of their own is the continuous lies that all of us customers have been given over the past 6 months. They tell us they will ship the miners back to us, and they told us it would take a few weeks. Then after no updates and threatening of a class action lawsuit, they give more updates saying they were going to ship the miners back to us within a week. It's been a month since that update. No end in sight. We have nothing to show for it except for more and more losses. And they keep taking money from us and basically holding us hostage.

Do not do business with this company. They really are only out to screw the customer.

DO NOT give your money to this company. I realize that hosting is difficult to find but you need to save yourself the agony. I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with this company and never even received all the ASICs I purchased from them. Its been a year now and they still can't give me a straight answer where the other 5 miners are. Furthermore, 2 of the sites that I was supposed to be mining at have been shut down. One site is down permanently and I was forced to pay tens of thousands of dollars to ship them back. Horrible communication and horrible follow through and horrible/absent customer service. Waaaaaaay better off to just buy BTC than get in bed with this company.

I have purchased a number of miners through Wattum. Azam was my salesman and did a wonderful job executing the sale and everything went well at first. With 10 miners stationed in Kazakhstan and performing well, I purchased an additional 10 miners in late September. Mid-October after only having my second set of miners operational for a short period- the power was shut off. Since October the communication from Wattum has been lackluster at best. They have said power will come back on- it didn’t. They said they had a 3rd party willing to purchase the miners- that never materialized. They asked for a massive amount of money to transport the miners out of the country and I was told the payment needed to be made by Monday or my miners would be stuck (this was Winter of 22). Since then, I have seen some of my miners turn back on despite being told they were packed and waiting for customs, was told they were getting loaded onto a plane to ship from Kaz but a month has gone by and nothing.

I sent an email and was forwarded around.

They have also not fulfilled their contractual obligation to make up for lost hashing time, they have not hit any time targets, and my trust in the company is at 0.

Avoid these guys. Nightmare and a half.

Which is expected in the crypto world - but honestly the lies upon lies have been the crazy part. I didn’t know large companies could do this….

Wattum is quick to take your money and responds very quickly to make the sale. However, customer services ends there. Machines get hooked up later than they promise. Work tickets for down miners do not get taken care of, sometimes for months. Our Bills are always inflated and incorrect. They stall and ignore you if there is any problem. They illegally set up their Kazahkstan hosting center and now thousands of miners and many customers are getting their miners confiscated. Wattum says nothing. We are suing them in court for Breach of Contract. Stay away from Wattum.

Wattum promises and doesn't deliver. When power went out in Kazakstan, they gave options but they just delayed and put you off until the power came back on. They lied about paying all import taxes and giving us ownership of the miners we bought. Then they tried to get us to pay the import taxes so we could get our machines out of the country. Now they are trying to leave the country, but can't because they improperly imported machines under a local Kazakstahn company without paying import duties. We have not heard from them for weeks and every time we do it is another dishonest delay. They have not fulfilled their contract by giving us equal hash rate in the U.S. per their contract. They gave us free months of hosting/electricity when we bought more miners, now our bills do not reflect these free months we contracted for and we have to go back and forth with them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WATTUM

Wattum did a great job of educating me about mining, I got sucked into FOMO but didnt know much about the realty. Nathaniel in sales did a good job of educating me on the equipment and understanding the market.
We experienced some delays because of COVID but Wattum did a great job of responding to my requests during this time.
Now I am up and running and happy as can be!

I got 40 S19 bitcoin miners that have been hosted with Wattum since December 2021 and I've had 99% uptime to date. I am very happy with the service and looking to get more!

Wattum is not a company, it’s a scam. They don’t respond to customer requests and don’t care about making things right when they go wrong. They never deliver on promises and have never even come close to a deadline. They hide behind their legal dept for most responses. They also do not know how to import machines properly. They are either too lazy to research it and figure it out or they are too stupid to grasp it. Their verification was recently removed from Miners Peak telegram channel due to their inability to correct or even address issues that their customers have. Find another vendor, this one sucks all the way through.

Untrustworthy unreliable non- transparent, shady. Great selling you miners, after that all bets are off. Miner uptime diminishes and the answer to customer inquiries is always “will get back to you later” later arrives and the answer remains the same. A growing number of customers that are communicating together have reason to believe they’re business is a charade to put money in their own pockets, prioritize their own mining uptime and passing illegitimate fees taxes to the customer without providing documentation for miners you e supposedly purchased. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH WATTUM

I bought from them some S19s and L7s (November batch) back in September-October.
The S19s were sent to Petawatt but after 1 month the facility closed (on December 14th).
I asked them so many times to ship out my S19s machines but with no success. Finally on February 23rd they shipped out the S19s machines, unfortunately after almost a month I haven’t received them yet. They said they are lost.
They don’t want either refund them or send me new ones.
I ordered and PAID 5x L7s but they installed only 1 with no timeframe for the other ones.
Lately they stop answering my questions. They disappeared.

Update 04/20/2022

They fixed all the issues. All my machines are now running at their facilities. Definitely not a scam.

Update 05/24/2022

My L7s machines located at their facility have been offline for 2 weeks. They said it would take about 8 weeks before I can see them online again.
If you don’t care about your ROI you can stay with them. Otherwise there are a LOT of better solutions out there.

This company has lied to customers time and time again about how their machines were imported and how the customs duty’s were paid. They will not provide serial numbers of machines to several clients (I do have mine) but they refuse to show me my import papers. They will not send pictures of our machines, provide any type of verification that our machines actually exist. TRANSPARENCY IS ZERO. I regret ever being affiliated with this company and hope that this review helps you avoid the same mistake that I made. If you want to ask anyone about Wattum I recommend the Miners Peak Telegram Channel.

I bought 7 of s19j rigs in August 21 and 10 rigs of s19j in February 22.
My salesman is Miguel Costa.
He is very courteous, prompt and helpful individual.
I am very happy with Wattum rigs and help from Miguel.

Bought 10 miners back in November and everything has been rolling smoothly. Miguel has been taking great care of me!

I have in total 16 bitcoin rigs (miners) that I have bought over Nov21 through Feb22. I split the purchase: 7(Russia), 1(US), and finally 8(US).

My Wattum associate Ishan has been a wonderful help ALL ALONG my journey. I was a novice here. I held multiple zoom sessions (2 x 1 hour and few short ones) with him, where he patiently explained lot of aspects. He even shared best practices on how to handle profits.

The Wattum hardware team began sending me timely updates, right from when rigs left Chinese factory, through their transit, to finally arriving in Sibera, Russia.

Ahead of a scheduled maintenance, they sent me emails (I also subscribed to their Telegram Channel) about outage. The outage took a little more than scheduled, but then the rigs went online thereafter.

After this maintenance, two of my rigs were under performing, to which I fired an email. They immediately remedied it and I could see that the problem was fixed. I was very happy!

My rigs went online ONE day prior than scheduled. I was thrilled to see them earn real bucks!

Motivated by my initial success, I ordered one more rig (USA) in Jan22 which will go online in Mar22.

Then, I ordered 8(USA) rigs today. I just finished moving the money!

I hope to add more rigs as time passes and save them for creating generational wealth!
