I went to Pa to sell my car

I went to Pa to sell my car, but because the title was in me and my wife’s name. Pa would not allow selling without both parties being present. I was sent to Delaware and was able to complete the sale.

Would recommend!

After receiving three trade in quotes at various dealerships, I explored the option of selling my car with WBAC. Chase was professional, knowledgeable and transparent about their process - it was fast and straightforward. Following inspection, I was able to negotiate and they matched my highest trade in price. While the office is basic, I was impressed with the customer service and kind communication. Would recommend!

Great Staff, Weak Offer

The staff were professional and friendly. They deserve 5 stars. I was disappointed in the difference between the price offered online and the price actually paid. It was $2100 less. I assumed the price online took into consideration the Carfax (forget the name of the one you use) report which indicated there were two accidents and the airbag deployed. However, I was told that this was cause of the huge difference in the offers. Because I didn't have the energy to shop the car around I accepted the offer. But I believe that when the online price is offered there should be a disclosure that the offer does not reflect the Carfax report.

Hi CMP,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review about your experience. We’re thrilled to hear the staff were professional and friendly and provided excellent service during your appointment at our West Chester location.

We’re sorry to hear the accident history soured your overall experience. Our leadership team values your feedback and wants to address your concerns. It’s true during every appointment we pull a third-party vehicle history report like CARFAX and / or Experian AutoCheck to confirm accident history.

Unfortunately, these services are fairly expensive to pull on a per vehicle basis. With the tens of thousands of valuations we complete each month on our website, it would be too expensive to run a vehicle history report for every car that’s put through our online valuation tool. We do provide an opportunity for customers to disclose accident history and other damage as part of the online valuation process.

We know you have many options when selling a vehicle and we truly appreciate your business. Thank you for taking the time to speak with our team about your experience with us. If there is anything else that we can assist with in the future, please reach out to customerfeedback@webuyanycarusa.com.

Kind Regards,
Mike, on behalf of webuyanycar.com

PLEASE READ

PLEASE READ
DO NOT SELL YOUR CAR TO THEM until after you read.
This doesn't apply to all employees but you are having you car cheched out for mechanical issues by people that have no idea what so ever what they are checking for. Reading past codes that are archived in you cars computer and then tells you about it and has no idea what it is. If you go to We Buy Any Car ask the person looking over you car what there experience/ qualifications are in Auto Maintenance. You sell to a dealership they have certified technicians look at it. If they took $100/200 off of every customer times that by 100,000 plus people. A few dollars on a car some people don't know or care but alot of cars that is stealing. A highly reputable company with 4.8 star rating that doesn't hire the right staff to do the right job and cheap tools because they don't want to spend the money on better ones because they have too many employees.
If you buy a car are you going to have your dentist look it over no your will have a certified auto technician look at it. Archive codes are something that was fix and you can pull it up in a scanner up to a certain amount of miles. It does not mean there is something wrong with car.
So i took a 2006 ford exploer, 125.380 miles on it, small crack in front bumber, airbag sensor wire had corrosion on it, small dent on hatch, and quarter panels vinyl wrapped because paint faded and cheaper to wrap then paint. Truck was black and wrapped in a gloss black matching rest of truck. Truck runs and drives great. So we buy any car. online evaluation was like $1200 low to begin KBB value from $5800 to $3100 depending on condition. So I book appointment and go up knowing the are going to knock off a few dollars. Staff was very friendly i do have to say. Had all the right cheap tools, kind of knew how to read the OBD2 code reader but reading and knowing what you are reading are 2 different things. I am a certified auto technician also PA state and emissions certified. I used my top of the line scanner to check codes before I got there. I knew I had 7 codes that had to do with putting LED lights in it and not putting the chancellors in. Not a big deal take out led light put back in regular light. So the sales rep. Or whatever they are called tells me I erased the codes 106miles ago I have 2 front Wheel Speed Sensors codes and a cylinder 1 misfire. No lights on in truck or running rough or like crap, just airbag light. I told him I changed the ABS sensors a few months ago and also the gas cap, and then did a systems check on ABS system and sensors and all good He says no the Wheel Speed Sensors are bad not the ABS sensors. I kindly and respectfully tried to explain to him THEY ARE THE SAME THING. He kept telling me they weren't then there computer offered me $100. Scrap yard down the street offered me $1050. He stated he couldn't come close to that. They make commission or bonuses of of the less they spend on a car, so it's there job to try and knock you down. I am not mad about the offer, i am PISSED because you have people that have no qualifications or experience whatsoever appraising your vehicle doing mechanical checks and offering you money on it but yet they don't even know where the hood release is and they probably never even heard him in OBD2 before they started there. KBB.com instant cash offer offered $2386. I then took to a highly reputable dealership and truck was checked out my a ASE certified technician and I was offered $1852 they took off for airbag sensor and crack in bumper. They saw the archive ABS sensors oh sorry Wheel Speed Sensors and just asked if I replaced with ford or aftermarket. I said Motorcraft and had a check in hand. No misfire no anything else. I am not saying it's a bad company or employees are worthless. I am saying make sure the person know what they are doing and not just looks like they know what they're doing and saying. You get into an accident and a certified appraiser comes out to appraise the car you go to sell the dealership Certified Technician appraises your car you go to we buy any car and they should have a certified technician looking at car not an actor that can talk a good game but not know anything. I am VERY mad about the BS they tried to sell me not the money at all. KBB INSTANT CASH OFFER. Com go there first. I am only one person and they don't care about me or anything I have to say. They will just move on to the next target of there bait and switch. I just hope this gets out to one person that's all.

Hi Stephen,

We spoke at length with you about your customer service experience and I'm sorry we were unable to adequately address your dissatisfaction. As you stated in your Google review, you are a certified mechanic and have a $25,000 Snap-On computer to perform diagnostics. You also let us know that you used to flip cars when we enquired about the fifty-five different vehicles you have valued on our website since 2014.

You were aware of all the issues with this vehicle before you came in for an appraisal. Unfortunately, you did not tell us about any of the issues when completing the online valuation. We keep detailed logs of every submission on our website, and you stated the Explorer had no physical or mechanical problems. If we had known upfront about the many physical and mechanical defects, you would have gotten a lower estimate.

Like any professional buyer, we do our due diligence before we cut a check, and our inspection revealed the issues you mention above. You were insistent you expected the full value we estimated based on the Explorer being in great condition with no physical or mechanical defects and our team let you know we would not be at that number and would need to have the appraisal notes and photographs reviewed by our pricing team to get you a firm offer as the vehicle was not in the condition stated online.

We respect that you were unwilling to go below the amount you saw online for the vehicle in good condition with normal wear and tear and we are pleased to hear that you were able to shop the Explorer around and find a buyer that worked out for you given the many issues with the vehicle.

No car buying company is hiring ASE certified technicians to appraise used vehicles. CarMax doesn't do this, Carvana doesn't do this, and no other large buyer of vehicles is doing this. While we respect your opinion, this is an unrealistic expectation. ASE certified technicians are highly skilled, and their time is valuable to a dealership. The vast majority of cars we buy do not come in with multiple defects and we have no need for ASE qualified technicians. It's also highly unusual for a KBB ICO dealer to have a certified technician look over a 20-year-old SUV. KBB does not buy cars and makes money selling leads to dealers up and down the country. Every dealer has their own protocol on how they appraise the cars that are presented to them and the experience will vary wildly depending on which dealer KBB sells your information to.

We're sorry your experience was not a happy one but are confident that for the vast majority of vehicle sellers who do not have many physical and mechanical problems with their vehicle, we provide a great service. Our BBB A+ accreditation and over 100,000 verified 4.9-star reviews on Trustpilot and Google speaks for itself. We offer zero pressure service and encourage our customers to shop around to make sure we are the best option for them.

Thanks for stopping by for an appraisal. We appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and apologize that we were unable to resolve your concerns.

Warmest regards,

Jeremy, on behalf of webuyanycar.com

The entire process of selling our…

The entire process of selling our Expedition was well executed beginning with the application through the evaluation and issuance of the check. The adherence to the scheduled appointment was very much appreciated. Chase was very well organized and efficient throughout the entire closing process. Earlier I had experienced excessive delays with a competing entity.

Quick and Simple

I had a great experience at the West Chester location with Aziza. She was really helpful and walked me through every step of the process. She also took the time to explain everything that she was doing while evaluating the car. The whole experience was quick and easy and I would definitely recommend it to others who were looking to sell a car. Aziza gave great customer service and was wonderful to chat with through the whole process.

Great Experience!

I recently contacted several companies to get an offer to purchase my 2021 Honfa Pilot. We Buy Any Car® USA - West Chester, PA was one of them. After providing specific details about the car, they quickly provided an estimated purchase price which compared favorably with the offers I received.

I scheduled an appointment at their West Chester PA location. i was greeted by Ryan, who handled our transaction. He was friendly and efficient and after inspecting my car he confirmed their offer, which I accepted and completed the necessary paperwork.

The whole process took about 45 minutes and I went home with check in hand. Thanks for providing a stress free experience!
