On April 3, I took my car into the West Valley Utah branch. Lacey was amazing. After I left I was a little disappointed with the amount I received and I put that in my review. With in a couple of days, Tyler reached out to me to see what they could do to make my experience better. He offered to increase my payout which was fantastic. Before I received the additional funds, Josh, the regional manager, also touched base with me to see if everything had been taken care of satisfactorily. Today I received the check for the additional funds. I don’t remember the last time I had such awesome customer service. Thanks We Buy Any Cars for all you’ve done. You have a life long customer here and I will be passing this info onto all my family and friends.

The online valuation is an estimate based on disclosures you provide to us about the vehicle. It is not an offer, and we always carry out checks on the vehicle to verify its physical and mechanical condition before we make an offer. Our offer is subject to the age, mileage and condition of the vehicle and any offer is made at our discretion.
I see that when you requested a valuation from us on 2/2/2023 at 8:19 PM you did use our tools to disclose a large dent in the rear bumper but did not disclose there were multiple active warning lights. Inspection notes and photographs do show that the airbag, ABS, check engine, brake light, and oil warning lights were illuminated. When you valued the Dodge, you told us that the odometer reading was 97,000 but our photographs show that the odometer reading on the dashboard was 155,874.
You did let us know at the time of sale that a computer control module had been changed and the odometer reading increased when that work was carried out. We were unable to connect to the Dodge's OBDII diagnostic computer to verify the reason for the warning lights on the dashboard. Without the ability to diagnose faults, we have to take those safety warning lights at face value, as any buyer would.
The warning lights and odometer reading were the primary reason for the reduced offer. If the warning lights had been disclosed online and the correct mileage (as displayed on the odometer), you would likely have received a valuation estimate lower than the amount we cut a check for. We do understand that there are circumstances why the odometer reading may have changed, but we do have to use the reading from the vehicle as you would if you were buying the vehicle.
All of this should have been explained to you by our team before you had a chance to accept our decline our offer. We appreciate you taking the time to speak with Area Manager, Josh about this.
