TLDR Westminster parking services

Got a PCN for stopping in a box junction. Tail end of car was just in the box and i was gutted that a minor infringement resulted in a Charge. Looks like an easy mistake. I then realised I have never driven in Westminster so This wasn't me. The picture displays a black ford van, I have a white car.

The letter emplores me to challenge by completing the form and mailing to them, no envelop, no stamp so it is up to me foot the bill. Also the fee won't be £65 and could increase to £195 if not settled within 21 days.

The OCR failed and there is no failsafes to stop threatening letters being sent out to innocent drivers.

They provide no easy, convenient, fair route for people to contend the PCN. If you have the temerity to challenge they could charge you triple.

Checked the website and I could challenge misread number plate in the end.

Charges they apply are grossly inappropriate and the nature of double or tripling fine is unfair. Operating similar to mafia or loan sharks.

Address the OCR! I cannot imagine reading a y as a v is an isolated incident.

OUT OF PROPORTION TICKETS

They make respectful drivers hating the experience of driving along the city of London. With that net of spying cameras, every insignificant innocent mistake becomes a ticket of £65. Clever way for making money out of good citizens

Months of pleading, no one was willing to help

I have made numerous attempts to seek assistance from the Westminster council's team regarding a persistent issue. Despite explaining that the problem occurs from early morning until 2:00 a.m. the following day, I have never had anyone from the council enter my property to assess the situation. Each time I contacted them, I requested that someone visit my home anytime, preferably between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. to determine the severity of the nuisance and address it accordingly. Unfortunately, the response has been consistently disappointing.

However, despite reaching out to them on numerous occasions, no one has knocked on my door.

And each time, the noise would invariably cease in the early hours of the morning, leading me to cancel my request for assistance. I took great care to stay at home, keep the premises clean, dress appropriately, and ensure that the phone line remained clear while awaiting help. However, no one from the council ever showed up. Dealing with them has caused more stress than the actual problem itself. If I had only contacted them once, twice or three times, I could understand the excuse of them being busy. However, I have persistently asked for their intervention over the course of several months, and I no longer have trust or respect for their service.

If the issue resurfaces in the future, I will be compelled to involve the police and inform them that my HA, and the council have been unresponsive. The text messages and emails serve as proof of my attempts to seek assistance. Despite my polite, patient, and passive approach, it seems that adopting a more assertive and forceful stance might have garnered better results. If I were to replicate the problem in the council's office foyer, I am certain that their security would swiftly remove me or call the police.

Enough is enough, and I have reached my limit with their lack of action. It is no wonder that people get away with harassing their neighbors when no one is willing to address the issue. Perhaps the council is selective or biased in their response based on the types of properties and/or individuals involved. That's my only conclusion.

They should all be replaced as they do…

They should all be replaced as they do not care about you, the one forced to pay for their services and the high salaries of the ones at the top:
1. I had the misfortune to live only near problematic neighbours who literally made me sick after being woken up every night due to their noises and until now I wake up with acid reflux - is just awful. I moved from one property to another in Little Venice area and the same happened in a building where most of the flats were let to people who spoke the same language (which I also learned when I lived in the Middle East) and my neighbour, a woman working for a religious school reaching 60 years old, kept having women only parties with loud music making me leave my bedroom, yet even in the living room her music was so loud - the porter knows what is going on but says nothing because they were born in the same part of the world: he is also very unprofessional himself as if hating European women who live alone. She was also letting rooms on AirbnB type site as soon as she started renting the flat herself with her young daughter and the constant noise was making me more sick with every day. 2 guys from Westminster council noise team arrived and said it was normal for neighbours to scream during the day and stayed longer to have a conversation with my loud neighbour while introducing themselves to her but not to me. One even said, both of foreign origin, that old people call them to complain of loud kids parties during the day!!! How un-professional is that!!! Both men should be fired. Westminster tends to promote these people instead to maintain the 'equality'. My neighbour continued to have her loud parties although every weekend was having 'talking parties'. This is the type of women who was only shouting on speakerphone in her flat, although being told repeatedly the walls are thin - never changed her ways probably thinking is something wrong with her neighbours but not with her.
2. Even when complaining about noises during the night, Westminster sends all kind of people with 3 hours delay and if you tell them how bad is that they are aggressive towards you. When taking this matter with the chief exec, an old guy with poor standards, he replied in writing he knows his staff and the lady from the Noise team I spoke over the phone and basically he took her side as having great standards. Basically, you, the customer are a bad person and they are perfect, while they take your money!!!

Very unhappy with Westminster council

Very unhappy with Westminster council
Moved out of my council flat after 25+ years
Was promised a lump sum as moving out
This was on the 3of march
Until today have not seen that money
I have sent lots of emails the reply are always the same!
I have been given 3 different dates for the money to be on my bank account,
Still not there
There’s nobody to speak to
So unfair from Westminster ,
I have no choice but to wait and hope they will pay!

Incompetent & Rude

Incompetent , rude and you can't speak to anyone. The council Tax department is a joke, as I can not get hold of anyone for a query via the telephone, it's all automated. The Housing repairs system is beyond a joke, they use Morgan Syndal who have taken months do sort out a basic repair and managed to do more damage, I'm still waiting for it to get sorted since Oct 2022. Not only that they use apprentices instead of qualified workmen, that are not only incapable of fixing a cardboard box, they're also rude and arrogant. No basic manners, social or people skills. What happened? This council use to be so good and now it is a total shambles.

Great, friendly service

Great service. Prompt responses on any planning submissions. Most notably, the bin collection men are amazing - incredibly friendly and helpful! When we first moved in and had a million boxes from packing, they took all of it in the one go (even though there was so much!). We also get 2x bin collections per week in our area (across the street in Brent council is only fortnightly!!). Thank you so much.

Review a positive feedback

Hi.
Today I lost my phone on the street near Warwick road.
When I called from Tesco Security man to my number gentleman answered to me. I was very surprised because I thought someone stolen it from my pocket in Tesco while I was busy with my 2 kids. So this man and 2 others brought me phone back. Their numbers are 6930 and 6932.(Security or Safety mans in uniform I don't know so sorry but I wrote their numbers from their shoulders) I am very grateful to them. Thank you so much

Westminster standard for proof of address for permits

Westminster permits: dont accept doctor's letters as proof of address neither do they trust insurance policy document as proof.

A mobile phone bill seems more credible than NHS letter for westminster permits!

Organisations like banks and bill providers dont send out paper documents.

What do household members have to do to prove proof of address. This is getting silly.

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR AT HOUSING, LUPUS STR. PIMLICO

A BREATH OF FRESH AIR AT HOUSING, LUPUS STR. PIMLICO
I want to express my Thanks and Gratitude to the staff at leasehold operations south Westminster (Lupus street) for their exemplary attitude and practical help, advice and guidance in helping me manage a complex financial issue.
During the last year and a half, a combination of work-related pay (furlough) and unexpected expenses plus already taken commitments disrupted my regular housing-related obligations.
I have never been in a similar situation before.

A few days ago, I realised for the first time that I hadn't received the" Reminder letters " or" Final demands" or WARNINGS despite the long delay in keeping up with my payments.
I maintained contact with housing personnel and advised of any developments in my circumstances.
The issue became even more urgent when another significant bill demanded my attention.

My interaction with leasehold operations over delayed payments was one that I never anticipated.
All staff I contacted offered advice and a way forward in resolving the issue at hand.
On the other end of the phone, a friendly and approachable person made it possible to see the human touch of a caring system.

There is a breath of fresh air at housing Lupus street.

I expected a ruthless approach and countless postal repetitive warnings and final warnings, threatening language, court orders, prosecutions.

Organisations are living, fully functioning organisms with humans engaging in sync, and with fundamental common values can transform communities can transform lives.
Something is changing at Housing, south Westminster, Lupus street. A breath of fresh air, and I want to thank everybody for their help and advice.
I was reassured, listened to and offered clear advice by knowledgeable and competent staff.
I've talked over the phone and exchanged emails with many staff now at Housing, Lupus street. All without exception reveal a renewed, "can do" positive attitude.
My personal experience and a profound sense of gratitude are the main reasons I am posting this.
The staff are making a difference.
Meeting one of you last year helped me restore some desperately needed faith that things will get better in the end.
Thank you, keep up the great work you are all doing

CELEBRATE.

Greed driven sharks

Westminster Council make life harder, harder and harder for drivers to the point where it's now impossible to function. If the very few disabled bays available are taken, life is impossible for a disabled driver because of Westminster council's greed to profit as much as possible by blocking/ banning parking and charging exorbitant fees that force people into a debt spiral. How is a disabled person supposed to drive around for 1 hour looking for a parking space far away then walk to their destination?
STOP MAKING LIFE IMPOSSIBLE FOR LONDONERS.
