Legitate customer review order no 17919399
Have to write here again due to beyond shocking no existent customer service from Whistle. There is a review on here from me 11 days ago about a dress I ordered costing £103 & never arriving & the company not responding to my inquiries by email phone or chat bot while I was chasing this.
After my review as expected they contacted me gave no explanation or attempt to deliver my goods they simply refunded me. That didn’t help me I wanted the dress. So I went back onto the website and reordered it in a smaller size which is my new dress size most of the time. This time it cost me £110 because they didn’t have their sale on so their ineptitude cost me literally.
I chose store delivery thinking surely they can manage to deliver something to their own store & they can’t screw up delivery of the same item twice in a row to the same customer. That was Weds October 1st. The order email confirmation said your order will be delivered in 3-5 business days & we will let you know when it arrives in store. 3 days was Monday 6th 5 days was Wednesday 8th. I heard nothing so wrote an email yesterday morning asking them to chase it and of course it was completely ignored. I then wrote another email last night the full body of which I will post below.
Email to Whistles 8/10/25
“I first ordered this dress in an online sale along with 2 other items a few weeks ago. It never showed up. I emailed I called I tried your absolutely useless chat bot, nothing. I never got to speak to anyone and I never got any communication at all about where my order was. Eventually incredibly fed up I was left with no choice other than to leave a review on trust pilot explaining what had happened. Very predictably once you were publicly criticised and wanted to save face you emailed me admitted that something had gone wrong and cancelled the order and refunded me. Leaving me without the dress I wanted and no explanation as to why I didn’t get it & no attempt to get it to me.
I want this dress very much so I went back to the website saw that it was there in a smaller size than I originally ordered but actually is my basic clothes size I just find sometimes dresses are too tight on my bust so tend to order up. So I ordered the 10 instead showing as in stock. This time the sale wasn’t on but there was a new order discount so I used that and it cost me £7 more than previously.
That was last Weds October 1st. Your website & order confirmation I received VERY CLEARLY states it would be delivered to my local store in 3-5 business days that meant Monday 6th (3 days) to today Wednesday 8th (5 days) and yet I have heard nothing!
I sent an email to chase this this morning but of course you haven’t replied-as usual. Not treating customers with respect not solving problems only responding when people call you out publicly isn’t a decent customer service strategy!
I knew when I reordered the dress after the first fiasco that it was a risk, you had already proven to be an unreliable & untrustworthy company with my previous order, but I thought surely they can’t screw up the same order for the same customer twice in a row? Surely they can’t screw get something delivered to one of their own stores on time without a problem. Clearly not!
You have not responded to my email about this sent first thing today & that is unacceptable because my order should have arrived by now and you are responsible. You should care about this it wasn’t a cheap item at £109. You should be concerned with helping your customers get good service and showing respect by answering promptly.
If you don’t reply I shall publish this letter publicly. I have absolutely had enough of your shocking customer service. How is it SO hard for you to take an item your website has consistently said you have in stock & deliver it to a customer via a local store? The absolute basics of your business really!”
So unsurprisingly over 24 hrs later I have still had no acknowledgment of my 2nd email from Whistles. What the hell is going on here? How can any established company be so utterly useless as to keep failing to deliver subsequent orders to the same customer & never communicating about it? I just want my dress. I paid it was in stock you have the details of the store to deliver it. How is this so hard for you? Moreover how do you stay afloat with these types of business practices your treatment of customers is absolutely disgraceful! Do not dare reply to me here with insincere pacifying nonsense like to get in touch with you again like you said in response to my previous complaint review. We both know you don’t answer your phones or emails and no humans attend your “live chats”. You need to contact me and sort this out.
Its Saturday 11th, the latest I should have received my order in store was Wednesday 8th the day I sent 2 emails I STILL have heard nothing. NEVER AGAIN ordering!

If I could give zero stars then that is what this company would get. I ordered trainers on the 28th March 2026. I received an email telling me that my order is delayed on the 2nd April. No contact from Whistles since.
Checking the track my parcel option on their website offers no clues as to the status of my order. So I email them, via the website yesterday morning. I received a generic email, which told me precisely nothing about my order and when I can expect to receive it.
This is the first, and last, time I will order from this company. I will start a chargeback with my bank once enough time had elapsed.
If you are thinking about buying anything online from Whistles I would strongly recommend that you don’t.

I’ve been in to Ilkley Whistles two times recently and both times I’ve had excellent and friendly service. The first time I wanted to buy a wine coloured quilted jacket. The small was too big and there was no extra small in the shop. The lovely shop assistant rang Edinburgh (who were also fabulous) and the coat was delivered the next day to my home!
I then ordered a sweat shirt and shirt online. Having ordered the small ‘Toujour’ sweatshirt I thought that medium would give a more relaxed fit. A different but also great shop assistant helped me to send back the small and found a medium in the window. Perfect! Very happy and can’t recommend the shop and staff enough.

I’ve visited the Whistles store in White City many times in the past and always had positive interactions with the staff, who have been consistently friendly and helpful. That’s why what I experienced last Friday was so shocking and really disappointing.
While trying on clothes in the changing room, I could clearly hear someone who appeared to be in a management role speaking loudly and extremely disrespectfully about other staff members at the back of the store. This went on the entire time I was there, making it impossible to ignore. It was incredibly unprofessional and created a very uncomfortable atmosphere.
What should have been a routine visit turned into a genuinely unpleasant experience. Hearing that kind of behaviour completely changed my perception of the store, and I left feeling uneasy and unwelcome.
What made things worse is the young lady who helped me heard it too and looked upset, i felt very sorry for the staff member, but through it all she remained professional.
