Absolutely love the bespoke piece I got…

Absolutely love the bespoke piece I got from Wilbraham Wood Design. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and the whole process felt easy and collaborative. You can tell they really care about the details. Highly recommend if you want furniture that's unique, beautifully made, and built to last.

We couldn't be happier with our oak and resin dining table. George's work is exceptional, and the piece truly stands out, especially in natural light.
Quality takes time, and we appreciated his attention to detail. They are now making a table for our friends on our recommendation.

We ordered a walnut and resin dining…

We ordered a walnut and resin dining table from Wilbraham Wood Design and it turned out absolutely stunning. It did take a bit of time, but honestly, that's to be expected with craftsmanship this good. The quality and attention to detail is incredible, you can tell a lot of care went into making it. If you're looking for a truly unique, beautifully made piece, this is 100% worth the wait.

What I loved most was how collaborative…

What I loved most was how collaborative the process was. I had a general idea of what I wanted, and they helped bring it to life in a way that felt totally unique to me. It's not just furniture - it's something with real character and thought behind it. Plus, it fits perfectly in my space.

Lied to

So sad to write this , we paid in full (as was insisted) fora table top last October , it was promised for Christmas . Everything went quiet after we paid for a couple of weeks …The excuses started quite quickly after that , illness after illness , the the weather was an issue but the transport had been ordered for Christmas week so I could stop worrying . We asked many times for a picture of the progress but there was always an excuse why it couldn’t be sent but as we were told it was drying and he didn’t want to compromise the quality of the table we believed this to be true . Christmas came and went which was very disappointing but we decided to let it go and look forward to our new table top. The companies social media continued to be updated which was strange because I couldn’t even get a picture of my table . Jan , Feb , March went by with more excuses , false promises and we were even offered £200 to not leave a bad review . My stress levels were through the roof which as I am poorly myself I am not supposed to have any stress . We declined the £200 and just wanted out £2,000 back but did say we wouldn’t leave a review if the money was returned immediately which it wasn’t . This was a very long winded process , we were given £200 then as long drawn out process of more excuses from accountancy mistakes just now cash available , I even suggested to just send the table top but I don’t think it was even there as that fell on deaf ears . We now at last have our money back and have had a message to say we should be grateful the ‘costs’ haven’t been deducted ! . The instagram images look great but to say he needs to be better at communication is the biggest understatement . We feel completely lied to and let down .

We apologise for your delays, we did not offer you money to remove reviews we offered you compensation for the delays, your husband then said once he received his refund, which we processed he would not be negative before us giving us his word, you then decided as well as costing us a large amount of lost time and revenue to leave us a scathing review too. Our new table is not only a stunning centerpiece in my house, but it also feels like an investment that will last a lifetime. It's rare to find a company that combines passion and artistry in the same way George has for our table.

We were unsure of exactly what we…

We were unsure of exactly what we wanted but George took the time to talk us through all the options. The bespoke report he sent through was extremely comprehensive and full of choice and examples.

Even after all this we were amazed at how stunning our table was when it arrived.

Brilliant delivery from Michael too who put the table together and even polished the top for us.

We ordered a bespoke round coffee table…

We ordered a bespoke round coffee table from George and it exceeded all expectations. The combination of wood grain and resin is mesmerising. You can tell it's handmade with care, it's a work of art everyone who visits compliments it instantly.

Don’t use this company

Don’t use this company waited a year with false promises, then struggled to get money back that had paid up front back, ended up going through credit company to get money back very poor

Unfortunately this is an old review and coincided with having 2 break ins and having to move workshops as well as a long period of illness.

It’s disappointing as you would think a local councillor would be a bit more understanding especially as he wanted to use our break ins for his own political agenda, don’t trust a politician!

In regards to refund it was issued but card company takes 5-10 days to return the money and he decided to take it into his own hands!

We have also worked on our feedback and updates for clients and although not perfect we are striving to make more improvements

Amazing work , We had been looking around and was…

We had been looking around and was struggling to find the exact look we wanted, after a few messages we had placed our order and so happy we did. The product we received was truly worth the wait. As a tradesman myself I can honestly say that the care and attention to detail is outstanding, George really did capture the exact look we wanted and glad we placed our order. Thank you for a stunning piece of work 👏

We did have a couple of timescale issues which was spoken about but due to drying times, cold weather etc which do impact this type of work sometimes cannot be helped, super happy with our end result

Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Reliability

I paid £500 in October for a bespoke table that was promised before Christmas, but Christmas came and went with no table, no update and no apology.

Throughout the process, I had to chase for updates, only to receive constant excuses and vague promises. There was no effort to manage my expectations when delays became unavoidable and no acknowledgment of the frustration caused.

In the end I requested a refund as I’d lost all trust in this business. While I did get my money back (eventually), the entire experience was incredibly disappointing. I had high hopes but was left out of pocket for weeks with nothing to show for it.

This experience has left me questioning whether this business is ready to meet the expectations that come with offering bespoke products and services. Clearer communication, proactive updates and a willingness to manage client expectations honestly would go a long way in avoiding situations like this in the future.

EDIT:
It’s disappointing to see George’s response to my review, which contains several inaccuracies.

Firstly, the claim that I was told there would be a 3-4 month wait is a complete lie. If I had been informed of this from the outset, that would have been an example of managing my expectations. However, it was not the case. I ordered based on a Facebook ad that specifically stated orders were open for pre-Christmas delivery. I also confirmed this directly with George on two occasions, who assured me the table would be delivered in time for Christmas.

Secondly, I did not change the wood. The delay arose because the wood George initially showed me was not shaped as agreed. He had to reshape it, which caused further delays, but this was due to his mistake, not any change on my part.

As for the lack of apology, my comment referred specifically to the fact that when it became clear the table wouldn’t be delivered by Christmas, there was no message, no acknowledgment and no apology at the time to explain the situation.

While I appreciate that George has implemented new communication measures, my experience was unfortunately not a positive one. If expectations had been managed properly from the beginning, this entire situation could have been avoided. I stand by my original review.

This is a very disappointing review and not totally truthful, from the outset we informed you that we had a 3/4 month wait but would do all we could to make it for Christmas. The main reason for the delay was you changing the wood we were using meaning extra time and labour which resulted in the delay which was then exacerbated by the freezing cold weather.

When you stated you were not happy about the delay we refunded you fully taking a hit on the card charges leaving us out of pocket and not you.

As for the lack of apology I have several messages where I did apologise for the delays and even have messages with you acknowledging and accepting my apology! As I said at the time these things take time and I won’t cut corners on the product as they are made to last many years, surely a slight delay is better than an item not up to our extremely high standards

As stated in a previous review, we have taken on board the communication comments and have a new way of updating clients weekly to further improve the customer experience

Shocking Customer Service!

Shocking Customer Service!
If this was just a review on the furniture received it would be 5*
However -
The service and communication through the whole process was extremely lacking.
We ordered a table on the 4th September with an agreed timescale of 4 weeks.
15 weeks later after lots of broken/false promises, a ridiculous amount of messages to chase, over 5 promised and then missed delivery dates and many frustrating messages we finally received our table.
The sad thing is our table is beautiful hence 3 stars,however the horrendous service and lack of communication has ruined our experience with this business and we wouldn’t order again.
Recommendations to Business -
I would recommend that you provide realistic timescales first and foremost. The customer is always informed of delays or issues ahead of time as Customers should not have to chase you! Delivery dates are adhered too and if not possible the customer is contacted ahead of the date. You don’t promise the customer pictures or updates and then not provide them as this just depletes any trust the customer has in you.
Customers shouldn’t have to battle to get a product they have ordered and paid for.

Excellent service all round

George was great to work with and listened to our needs when helping us to tweak our design to make it suit our space. Communication was excellent with the option for updates on each stage, pricing was great for a handmade bespoke item and the quality is amazing. We wanted it ready in time for a special event and got lots of compliments from family and friends. Very happy with the service and product we received.
