I have used Wilkie optician’s for 46 years now. It’s a family business and they are now on the 3rd generation of optometrist’s. The care and service they provide is excellent and all staff are very helpful.
I had a problem with my eye, phoned them, and was seen promptly and given the correct medication antibiotic to fix it. It helps greatly if you have confidence in the person who is looking after your eyes.

I phoned seeking advice about an acute eye irritation. Reception triaged then phoned back with an appointment for only a couple of hours later.
I saw an optometrist who conducted a thorough examination. She diagnosed the problem areas, detailed a course of self treatment and care, and prescribed appropriate medication - and removed my concern and anxiety.
I consider this to be a remarkable service. It just goes to reinforce the opinion I have gathered of Wilkies; I have been using them for the past thirty-five years and would never go anywhere else!

When I arrived the receptionist greeted with a smile and was attentive. The optician I saw today was Laura she was very friendly and attentive gave me a thorough examination and explained everything and put me at ease

Genuinely kind and helpful staff. The optometrists will take extra time to explain things and address any concerns or questions that you may have. Really knowledgeable and helpful when it came to picking out new frames as well. They may cost more than other opticians but the level of service and genuine care justifies that cost every time, wouldn't go anywhere else.

Had my wedding ring resized as a previous jeweller cut and removed some gold when it was slightly out of shape when I fell off my MTB.
Sharon at the jewellers side of the shop gave first class customer service by keeping me informed about costings and when to collect.
Ring came back gleaming and now I can wear it everyday without using clasps.
Great service from all in the shop as I also get my annual eye check up there.

The team was amazing from making my daughter feel welcome to the quick and efficient eye test to picking out her first frames! Definitely made the whole process look easy, good range of frames too!

From the ladies at the reception to the optician himself my wife and I were treated with all due care and attention. During the eye test itself we were both made to feel very comfortable and at ease. Any questions we asked were answered in great detail. Overall we were both very happy with the way the experience worked out. Can't praise everyone enough. Thank you.

I have been going to Wilkie's eye care for years, because the staff are always very welcoming and helpful, they give good advice and don't rush you.
The eye exam is very quick useing all the latest hi-tech.
I feel safe and cared for, and the glasses are reasonably priced too .
