I had never heard of WIMDU before trying it.
It was quite straightforward and responsive.
I was somewhat concerned because they charge your card quickly after you accept a booking. But it worked well and the hosts obviously liked the way they got paid professionally, and we never had to handle any financial transactions except with WIMDU.
Both apts. were everything advertised and sometimes more.
Definitely will use WIMDU again.

We have stayed in many holiday apartments over the years, some very nice, others not so nice but at least livable. Renting something you can’t see, paying in advance with no refund if things are bad is a risky business.

Recently we rented an apartment through Wimdu that was so bad we had to leave after one night. This place was not ready for guests, it didn’t even have the basics. There had been a lot of rain in the area that season and the place was very musty, triggering allergies.

When we complained to Wimdu and asked for a refund they supported the apartment rental agency 100%, we were in the wrong to expect anything more than what we got as far as Wimdu was concerned.

So when you book through an online agency that accepts a low standard from property owners, and pay them a fee, don’t expect their support if things go wrong... and in our case we were blocked from writing a review about the place, so the ones you see are just the ones they want you to see.

I made booking at the night and booking accepted at the morning.
Paid via paypal without any problems. Nothing negative to say.
I will surely use services from Windy in the future.

After receiving my first reservation and setting up the automatic calendar with other reservation service I received a first reservation which I did not accepted but I guess I did not do it the right way. Wimdu service department decided to charge me with a 15% penalty on that reservation. Airbnb would never do that to a partner.

Wimdu is an easy going booking site. You see what you get ! It;s easy to contact the host. I good alternatief of AirbnB. You can direct book a room without waiting of acceptation.

Have now used eindu for several sites and found them to be just as described. A very valuable resource for the international traveler.

I was looking for an appartment to rent for our family vacations, and for me Wimdu was a very good choice, because they suggest various options, including entirely refundable reservations.
I made a mistake booking an appartment with adjoining bedrooms, while we were looking for an accomodation with totally separated bedrooms. Therefore, I contacted Wimdu asking for a refund - and I got one without any problem within the following two days. So I was able to book another accomodation on the same site, and it was really great - central, neat and spacious. Excellent value for money!

Thought I booked an apartment in Paris through Wimdu but the fact was that is was not existing. I received a false confirmation from "Wimdu" but the money is lost and there was absolutely no help from Wimdu regarding this matter. They are stating on the website that they check all ads and talk with the apartment owner, but it seems not to be the case. So be careful renting through this site.

As a European I am very happy to have an alternative for the US based AirBNB imperium. As AirBNB not even honours EU legislation and requiring 1on1 ID photocopies I unregistered there ASAP. Sooner or later all stored info gets public. ID fraud anyone ? Not me.

Wimdu has a decent amount of available rooms and apartments and we had great 2 weeks of holidays using the booking we made on Wimdu.

Highly recommended I would say. The website is even more clear than the US competitor and the profit and labour stays in Europe.

Excellent service. I booked an apartment in the Netherlands for August 2015. The website was easy to use and payment was easy. No issues at all with booking or the subsequent stay in the apartment. The apartment was excellent and everything I anticipated. I would recommend to other.

With Wimdu you can trust that you find a room in any city and you will not pay a lot of money...Easy to handel with a good service...

Wimdu is a nice portal with user friendly interface. Rooms/houses are well priced. With my trip everything went great, with no problems, good response from a host etc. I truly recommend it.

We had no problem with the selection of our accomodation as well as with the payment. The hosts are certified and serious. Everything is done in order to ensure the best user experience possible and an optimal planning for the holiday.
I would recommend Wimdu to my friends and I will use it again for the next holidays.

As someone that has never used Wimdu before I wanted to make sure that my money was going to a trusted site.
While I could find no fault with the host of the apartment I stayed in, booking the trip through Wimdu for the first time was very nerve-racking.
I called Wimdu several times : a - to make sure I was following the booking procedure correctly b - to make sure my money was going to be securely transferred. I would have felt much better about the situation if I the support staff were a little warmer..plus it took many emails, phone calls and direct contact with the host to get the answers I needed. Plus one other major consideration to always take into account is the price they quote you..isn't the price you will be paying..there will be an extra Wimdu fee on top of your quoted price..please be aware of this, as it was a surprise to me !

Renting the apartment and communicating with the owner was no problem. Beware that Wimdu, unlike Hotels.com Booking.com and several other sites, add a fee at the end of the reservation process. For our part this amounted to about 150 €.
We did not appreciate this surprise, and would rather have the fee included in the price presented on the website. That way it will be easier to compare with other offers.

We tried to book a unit that didn't work out. Wimdu contacted us to see if they could assist in another. We did end up in another unit. We appreciated the above and beyond effort.

I am grateful to the Wimdu website for help in finding an apartment. On the website Wimdu there is a lot of interesting offers. Use the wimdu website is very easy and convenient. One time we had to cancel the reservation and wimdu returned the money to us immediately.
