What a lovely shop. Alex is brilliant. We absolutely love visiting this wine shop. If you need a gift for someone Alex will help you pick the prefect bottle. We also love sitting in the wine shop and exploring the realms of the wine world.

Shockingly bad communication and failure to refund order that was not delivered. Steer clear.

Poor communication. This company will not respond to any communication and is a SCAM. They will take your money and you will then be left without any goods. The company will also take future payments which I never signed up for so stay well away

Extremely helpful, advising by phone, followed by a quick and efficient next day delivery. Excellent!

I would not touch this company with a barge pole. Ant site that ofgfer Paypal and then asks you to phone the order in is best avoided.

I bought through this company as they sold a wine I couldn't get locally. When trying to pay through their website, the stripe payment option did not work so I had to choose to pay by invoice. I paid immediately and emailed to request confirmation of funds as I had also paid extra for next day delivery.

I had no email replies, I have called twice to see where my delivery is and 8 days later I still do not have my delivery. I rang up today to ask where my delivery was and they said they would ring back but they have not and are not responding to my calls.

Really disappointed with the experience I have had with this company.

AVOID! Made an large order online, took my money and sent a confirmation order quoting delivery in 2-3 working days. Three weeks later haven't heard anything at all. Send an email, online contact form and tried phoning without any success. Now going through my bank to get the money back.

Do not waste your time and money with this incompetent and dishonest company. I ordered a few bottles for my wife’s birthday and, whilst they arrived on time, one of the bottles was off and completely undrinkable. Despite multiple attempts to contact them there has been no acknowledgement, let alone redress. The owner’s condescending and trite email just rubs salt into the wound.

I placed my first order for 12 bottles of a 2020 red wine with Wine Republic recently. After chasing, my order was delivered. Unfortunately, the wrong wine has been sent. I have sent emails, made phone calls to Adam Pledger (Founder) and also left a voicemail and sent him a text - no response whatsoever - so far. I have now sent an email requesting some feedback before considering my next step. At the moment, as this situation remains unresolved my advice to you if you a potential customer of Wine Republic is consider how important customer service is to you. Adam's 'thank you' email to me upon receipt of me placing my 1st order is titled "You're what makes us great"... If the Wine Republic team really mean that then all you need to know is "actions speak louder than words".

Shocking service. Short delivered. No communication. Hollow claims that my refund had been processed yet nothing. Finally got bored of calling and escalated to my credit card company. Adam does not speak the truth. Very disappointing.

Great selection and very knowledgeable staff

Ordered 2 of the same bottles, one of which had a totally discoloured label. Not great for serving at a dinner party. Complained to the company, but got no response.

Purchased two bottled on 7th November, no notification of shipping, no order received within the websites recommended 2-3 working days, tried calling and emailing 5-6 times and only response was from owner, Adam, saying he would follow up with the courier which he clearly didn’t even ship and clearly has no intention as further calls and emails have gone unanswered.
I have had to raise issues with my payment provider to try to claim money back!

I would strongly recommend avoiding placing an order with this company. It appears that they do not have any intention of shipping orders, and instead will take payment and ignore contact, hoping you forget about your missing order.

I placed a small order on 24th August for a bottle of wine, but received no delivery or shipping notification. I followed up in writing on 9th September, 14th September, 20th September, 27th September, 3rd October, 11th October, 15th October, and 31st October. Eventually Adam (the founder / managing director) emailed me on 1st November advising that the order could be shipped for immediate delivery, which I accepted.

Despite this he order still has not been shipped, despite mutiple more follow-ups in writing on 4th November and 12th November. At this point, I can only conclude that the company has no intention of shipping orders, and instead will take payment and ignore contact, hoping you forget about your missing order.

Kept me informed with regular emails of delivery etc and delivered quickly, will definitely use this company again and recommend to friends.

Never again! Bottles with problems, most probably due to bad storage; I tried to contact them but no answer. Avoid!

Fantastic selection of wines and very knowledgeable and helpful staff. The cheese board and charcuterie are a wonderful accompaniment to a tasty glass in a lovely surrounding.
