Just returned from the Australian tour.
The tour was very good but the guides went from great just okay. Last guide was going through the motions.
Don’t book optional tours through Wingbuddy. As an example we booked the dolphin encounter paid $329 and two others used the first guide to book with the same company for $279. 18% premium for nothing is an extreme.
Also their organization of local flights was not consistent as most in the tour group had meal vouchers for all flights but several had missing ones. Reported it several times to customer service and no responses.
Had to email and call customer service multiple times just to get them to change a room from two doubles to a queen. We also had others in the group that asked for double beds but received a queen and had to pay money out of pocket to get what they asked for.
They want to take the money but then point the finger at their local agent.
This is the fourth trip booked with them and their service is definitely dropping.

EVRYONE WAS INFORMATIVE AND VERY HELPFUL.
I WAS A LITTLE BIT UPSET THAT I HAD TO PAY $200.00 MORE BECAUSE I DIDN'T CONFIRM MY TRIP ON APRIL THE 3RD/4TH, INSTEAD OF APRIL 6TH 2026, OTHER WISE, SO FAR SO GOOD. LET'S WAIT AND SEE HOW THE SERVICE IS WHEN WE ARRIVE IN TUNISIA AND WHAT THE HOTEL STAY IS LIKE.

We recently visited Costa Rica on Wingbuddy’s Costa Rica’s Natural Wonders 11‑day tour, and our guide, Walter, made the experience exceptional. His fascinating and informative commentary throughout the trip brought the country’s history, culture, and natural beauty to life. He truly helped us understand and appreciate Costa Rica on a much deeper level.
Although the optional tours were offered as nice add‑ons, we didn’t find them particularly worthwhile compared to the excellent experiences already included in the main tour.

Wingbuddy sent an e-ticket with the incorrect name in spite of me filling in the correct information in the passport section of the request, then charged an additional $1020.00 CAD to rectify the mistake. I feel I should not need to absorb the cost due to their agent's lack of training. I had assumed (mistakenly) that a professional travel agent would realize that the name on the airline ticket MUST match the passport. The agent managed to find my middle name in the passport section of the application, but ignored my first name there, instead opting to use the shortened version from the billing section.

Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful agent to deal with.

Wingbuddy quoted me the same price for a trip multiple times, but when I clicked the link, the price increased over $1000. I didn't notice this incredibly large increase and booked the trip. After booking at the high price, I was again quoted the lesser amount at least 2 more times. I feel completely deceived and WingBuddy could not have cared less about the deception.

Wingbuddy Review – Premium Price, Budget Experience, Poor Customer Service
We booked the Costa Rica Winter Getaway – 11-day Organized Tour with Wingbuddy, expecting a high-quality, fully guided experience. What we received was the opposite.
This was marketed as their top-tier “Organized” package, yet we only had a proper English-speaking guide for 2 out of 11 days. The rest of the time, we were transported by non-English-speaking drivers with no guidance or support. Meanwhile, we met other travelers on similar tours who had a dedicated guide for their entire trip—so clearly, a better experience exists, just not what we were given.
The flights were another major disappointment. We were routed through John F. Kennedy International Airport instead of more logical connections, resulting in exhausting overnight travel both ways. Even worse, the tickets were so restrictive we couldn’t select seats in advance and were not seated together. We had to pay extra at the airport just to sit together—something that should never happen on a premium-priced package.
Speaking of price, this trip was advertised at around $3,000 per person but ended up costing over $5,400 per person. For that level of spend, we expected quality flights, proper organization, and consistent guidance—not budget airline conditions and a largely unguided trip.
After returning home to Vancouver, we contacted Wingbuddy to raise these concerns: lack of organization, poor flight arrangements, additional out-of-pocket costs, and the overall mismatch between what was promised and what was delivered.
Customer service was extremely disappointing. We spoke with a manager and a supervisor, yet received what appeared to be scripted, identical responses with no real acknowledgment of our concerns. The final reply stated that everything was “in line with the package inclusions” and no compensation would be offered.
This response was unacceptable given the issues we experienced.
We are an experienced, financially independent couple in our 60s who travel frequently (10–15 days per month) and were specifically evaluating Wingbuddy as a potential long-term travel provider. Based on this experience, we will not be using them again.
Ratings:
Flights: 2/10 (poor routing, red-eyes, no seat selection)
Guided Tour Experience: 2/10 (only 2 days with a real guide)
Customer Service: 1/10 (scripted responses, no accountability)
Advice to future travelers:
Confirm flight routes and avoid unnecessary red-eyes
Ensure seats can be selected in advance
Ask exactly how many days include a guide—even on “organized” tours
Don’t assume “premium” pricing equals premium service
Bottom line: Wingbuddy charges premium prices but delivers a budget-level experience, with customer service that does not stand behind the product.

The customer service representative listened to our needs and found a great option that worked for us. We were able to split the cost within our travel group and pay our own expenses.
