Customer help is really great. The"Help Bot" connects to a human very quickly. The humans were prompt, friendly and clear in explanations. I have several interactions with them while designing invitations and website. Be careful not to accidentally delete the wrong draft of your invitations, you'll have to start all over. LOL lessons learned.
Joy is an excellent website to use for every aspect of wedding planning and tracking! Guests have loved all the information that is instantly available on the website when they open their invite, and visually everything looks great.
I can work around the nickle and diming sneak attacks, but I don't love that you don't make it clear for my guests that they don't need to pay extra for a premium gift card, or book through a Joy-based reservation site, even though I put the hotel link, etc.

I feel that the site is not user friendly and created so much more work for me when i have so many other things to do. Often times i take the time to load all the information and pictures in the system and when i log back in there seems to have been a glitch and all my progress is gone.
We are having a destination wedding and a reception back home later. This site is not set up for that and confuses my guests as the count down timer is only set up for one date. I have tried to use the tags and passwords for my guests but that has only proven to confuse them and us. Locking some guests out and creating more work and communication between us all.
I am a DIY bride and i can do more with Canva than i can on this website. I truly struggled to find a layout that i liked and was unable to customize it to my liking. So it dosen't feel like my website or wedding. It takes to long to do simple tasks on here.
I hate the RSVP list aspect. I cant tell who has responded or not responded without downloading it to an excel sheet and sorting the information because we are having a destination wedding. I assume. And yes i have talked to support several times. I would spend days trying to figure small tasks out.
I would not recommend this site to any new couple. It has been so much work and such a learning curve that i regret using it.
I do like the QR code aspect. I can send my guests a QR code to text or email to send them directly to the site.

I consider myself incredibly tech saavy, I work in tech, and this was one of the most challenging user interfaces I have ever tried to navigate. There is WAY too many options, drop downs, no central "here's where you're at" overview of your wedding, editing your page vs. looking at your status on planning items are all squished together and one click brings you to a page you had no clue even existed, and THE SINGLE MOST FRUSTRATING THING is the guest list vs. RSVP. They are not the same and it's created SO much confusion for people trying to RSVP or decline and for us tracking. The wedding builder webpage doesnt allow for much customization. The list goes on, it's not user friendly and I've ended up doing everything on excel sheets and just using Joy as a super simple landing page for guests.
Could I google or youtube to try and understand how to navigate better, yes. Should I have to, no.
3 Stars because it does SEEM to have a lot of features, if you can figure out how to easily navigate them it might be a great site.

Edit, I recieved a response today with an apology and full refund. I will amend my previous review to 3 stars because it did take me about 6 or 7 emails to get a response that was helpful

We had a very disappointing experience booking through WithJoy. My wife attempted to reserve a room at Westgate Historic Williamsburg Resort but received no confirmation email and saw no charge on our card, so she made a second reservation. Today the hotel called to confirm and told us there were two reservations under our name.
The duplicate reservation was caused by a clear technical error on WithJoy’s platform — no confirmation was provided for the first booking, which led us to book again. The hotel could not cancel the duplicate because the booking originated with WithJoy, and, worse, the room was re-rented to another party. That means the hotel collected payment twice for the same inventory while still charging me the full cancellation fee.
It is unacceptable to hide behind the hotel’s cancellation policy when the root cause is WithJoy’s faulty booking system. WithJoy must accept responsibility and issue a full refund for the duplicate charge immediately. Until then, I cannot recommend using this service.
It’s going good. Like the website. Lots to manage with tags. And the grouping parties together can be a little rough. Like I have a family that didn’t add their two kids but there isn’t an easy way to group the party of four since the parents were already grouped. Now I have to ungroup them, add the two kids and regroup them as a family. Also it would be nice if there were counters.
Adarsh was fantastic – very patient and helpful. He figured out a pretty confusing issue and made a big difference for me. Give the man a promotion!
Adarsh was extremely personable and helpful. He made building our website much easier than we thought it would be. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and timely.
Absolutely terrible user experience. Even with a Master’s in Computer Engineering, it took me two full days to figure out how to edit simple things like text and photos. Nothing is intuitive. Total waste of time.

Easy to use and made us feel connected with our guests
Joy has been so easy to use, I highly recommend, it’s got everything I need in one place! My favorite part so far has been the invitations! It’s already got all the information ready to be printed on to the envelopes ready for me to send them out!
Joy is very helpful and user friendly.
Really quick support service, solved the issues within minutes and very quick to reply.
talking to a human agent helps alot! fast and accurate advice given thank you
I love this site! My fiance and I have a beautiful website! The invitations look amazing! I love the ease of sending out mass emails. I’m not a fan of having to export the RSVP list to an excel sheet to see who is coming. But other than that that it’s amazing!
I have been using Joy to create the wedding website for my son and future daughter-in-law and have found the service and experience to be absolutley faultless.
I have a bit of web experience but found the build features very user friendly and easy to figure out / navigate.
In all honesty it was a pleasure to be involved in creating this part of their celebration and I would recommend Joy to anyone looking to build a wedding website without any hesitation.
prompt feedback in easy to understand language
Taking the time to give me a one-on-one with the help needed.
We booked a hotel through withjoy. They took upfront payment. It appears as though they then booked through booking.com (which is a book now pay later thing) but when it came to pay later they didn't. So the booking was cancelled by booking.com and we didn't find out until turning up. Don't bother. Just book through booking.com
