New seat policy to take more money from customers

If you travel with your family expect to pay a fortune to sit together. No matter how many empty seats there are if you go with 'random' seats Wizz will separate your family. Small kids included. They didn't do this prior to 2020. They also increased the price for selecting a seat significantly. If you put all these costs together there's no reason to fly 'low cost' anymore. It's just a scam. I'm not even talking about delays but don't expect to fly on time.

Disgusting company and surprised it…

Disgusting company and surprised it still exists. Horrible customer service, arrogant and simply put, full stop cheaters. Stay away from this carrier. Better pay a little more for decent service. Hope they go belly up soon.

The WORST flight company ever

The WORST flight company ever. 3 flights delayed in the same week and a delay of 1-1:30 hours. Furthermore, a flight was announced as delayed on the screens, they emailed us to inform the delay, and then suddenly the flight departs at the original time without any additional information making us losing the flight and consequently the escale flight next, having to stay one night more and buying another plane ticket. Moreover the customer care was inexistent, we went to the office very worried and disappointed because of losing the flight and the girl at the window just said “we can’t do nothing”. No refund, no new ticket. No worrying at all about our problem. In addition the flight we booked for the next day was also delayed (not a surprise) 1:30h and we also lose the bus from the airport to our city. I would strongly NOT recommend the company.

Unpleasant check-in staff, horrible experience

WizzAir check-in staff (Gdansk) seem to take pride in being unhelpful. We arrived for a flight over 2 hours in advance, waited in the 'priority' queue and nearly missed our cut off time for luggage. When passengers complained - the staff slowed down, taking calls, walking off and saying they 'did not care'. Never encountered anything like this before. Nasty attitude, horrible experience.

Regularly late and cant seem to fix it.

Regularly late and they cannot seem to get their act together.

I have flown on literally hundreds of Wizzair flights throughout Europe but mostly to countries in the Baltic. In the last few months the return evening flights from LIthuania are HOURS late! I am stuck with the choice of Wizzair or Ryanair for best prices although expensive these days. Wizzair never used to have these problems. Now every flight I take back is late. Thats a killer on a Sunday evening. Last time I flew the flight left at 00:05, that said, only 2.5 hours late that time! I got home at 3am and needed to get up for work at 7am.

Wizzair, with the greatest respect, your marketing emails really sound like I have a great time flying with you and you are going to surprise and delight me and how fun its going to be flying with Wizzair. Like the latest email ‘offering me exclusive on board deals that will make my flight delightful! But its not delightful, its a killer. Its painful, your customers on these late evening flights literally suffer.

Before sending emails like that I suggest you focus on getting your primary service on offer in order. Your primary service is to get me from A to B on time, not to sell me perfumes.

Mr.József Váradi, forgive me but maybe you think the company is doing great because these days we judge everything in terms of how much money is made and the renumeration we receive. Though I would love to do one of these late flights with you just so you can experience what your customers have to. Sometimes there are elderly people struggling to stand up having waited hours for the plane. It is as painful as waiting in the Accident & Emergency department in England.

Can it be better? Simply, yes because it didnt used to be like this. I tend to get reasons of ‘this or that happened in such and such a place’, but the cumulative number of late flights shows that something has gone wrong that used to work. Please sort it out.

A Disastrous Journey with an Unreliable Airline

As a frequent traveler who has experienced countless flights with various airlines, I feel compelled to share my recent nightmarish encounter with Wizz Air. This scathing review serves as a warning to fellow travelers who value their time, money, and overall peace of mind. Brace yourself for a tale of incompetence, broken promises, and an utter lack of customer care.

Let's begin with the initial offense: the cancellation of our flight without any plausible reason. We got an email the morning of our departure so we rushed to the airport to get some clarity only to be informed that your flight has been abruptly scrapped. Shockingly, Wizz Air failed to provide any legitimate explanation for this cancellation, leaving passengers bewildered and stranded without any clue as to what transpired behind the scenes. Additionally, they didn't have an option for both me and my partner to fly out until 3 days later which wouldn't work because of our work schedules.

In a desperate bid for assistance, I reached out to Wizz Air's customer service while at the Palma airport. Little did I know that I was about to embark on an infuriating journey of unhelpful agents and contradictory statements. Despite assuring us that we would be reimbursed if we chose to book an alternative flight outside their company, this turned out to be nothing more than a hollow promise. They had no intention of honoring their commitment, leaving us in a state of financial uncertainty and deep disappointment.

Refusing to give up, we sought professional help from an external company, hoping they could navigate the treacherous waters of Wizz Air's reimbursement process. Unfortunately, this only added insult to injury. Nine long and arduous months later, we are still fighting for the reimbursement we rightfully deserve. It is inconceivable that an airline, claiming to value its customers, could display such a blatant disregard for their responsibilities.

Wizz Air's inability to provide a backup flight for three days highlights their lack of contingency planning and their disregard for the inconvenience caused to their passengers. Furthermore, their callousness in denying our rightful claim and subsequent inability to fulfill their obligations demonstrates a disturbing level of unprofessionalism and an alarming lack of transparency.

Traveling should be an enjoyable and stress-free experience, yet Wizz Air has turned it into a nightmare. Their cancellation without reason, broken promises, and refusal to reimburse the amount we paid for an alternative flight have left us feeling betrayed and disillusioned. It is my sincere hope that this review will serve as a cautionary tale to potential passengers considering Wizz Air, urging them to explore alternative options and spare themselves the agony we endured.

In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Wizz Air for your travel needs. Their lack of accountability, unreliable service, and poor customer care make them an airline that should be avoided at all costs. Spare yourself the headaches and frustrations that come with dealing with this unscrupulous company.

Coupon for delaying which cant be used

My plane was delayed by more then 2 hours, when finally the gate number and go to gate sign appeared, I walked 10 minutes to the terminal in Budapest, I got an sms with a coupon that can be used in the main building, at limited list of shops, for one day. I was sitting at the airport for 4 hours and when I need to board they send a coupon, very useful and frustrating!

If I could rate the experience lower I…

If I could rate the experience lower I would. We missed our flight because we spent 2 hours queuing in the baggage check in, in the priority queue. There was no support or help. When I reached out online for help - I diss covered the chatbot is designed to make you angry and they charge you to call the contact centre. I will never fly with this incredibly poor experience airline again. I’d highly recommend walking to your destination instead.

Minus 10 stars -stupid service

Minus 10 stars. Crap service. They have checked in bags as default unlike all other airlines. So when I turned up with a correct hand luggage of course wizzair then charges 80% of the flight price for dragging your own bag up and down the plane.

But if you dumped the bag to their conveyor belt and some one has to handle it then it’s free (included in the price of the ticket). It’s beyond stuuuupid

Very very very disappointed

Very very very disappointed. I have just come through boarding and have been told that I need to buy priority boarding for my small carry all bag. Apparently it is not big enough to put under my seat and to put in overhead, I have to purchase a £48 Priority pass. If this is not utter nonsense I don't o ow what is! Is this they way this company makes money, via unscrupulous surcharges? Pathetic and I will discourage everyone to NOT FLY with this rubbish company

Cheap because it is indeed very cheap and awful services.

The worst airliner in the UK without doubt.
Everything is designed to exploit customers. Very difficult to contact them. The live chat is not live only a stupid robot replies and keeps you in a vicious cycle telling you all agents are busy. Phoning them on website number in the UK you will be faced with rude and abrupt people and in my case hang up on me(Sergeo) or whatever he claims to be as if he is doing people a favour telling you you have to contact the reservation line which is a prime number charges you £1.45 a minute. They employ such impolite and rubbish people because this airliner is indeed very cheap in all aspect of the service. Trying to change a flight exhausted me as the system does not find my booking each time I log in day after another which means this is a manufactured issue to force people to buy new tickets.(I have already paid for a return flight but tried to come earlier) I had to buy another single flight almost as expensive as the first round trip. It is disgusting to treat people in this way. This airliner should not be allowed to work in the UK as the level of service is incompatible with what British people expect. Compare it to the BA. Cheap flight means it is indeed cheap in value. Today we waited for an hour because the luggage door got stuck and can't be closed. We had to wait for the maintenance team to arrive and fix it and another 20 minutes for the paper work to complete. Thanks heaven it was not the landing gear. You get rubbish service when you buy cheap tickets as everything in this airliner is cheap and awful indeed. Will never use this bad airliner at all.
