Wizz Air managed to mess up my booking

Wizz Air managed to mess up my booking, and their customer service made the situation even worse. Instead of taking responsibility or fixing their own error, they pushed me in circles with generic scripted replies and zero real help. Every attempt to get clarity was met with confusion, contradictory information, or agents who clearly had no idea how to resolve the issue.

What should have been a simple correction turned into a stressful back-and-forth where no one owned the problem. The lack of accountability and the inability to fix a mistake they caused is honestly shocking. When an airline mishandles your booking, the least they can do is provide clear, competent support.

Very disappointing experience, and I’ll think twice before booking with them again.

Customer support is a joke

Customer support has been extremely unhelpful. Back in July, there was a glitch with my booking that prevented me from checking in online, and I had to pay €150 at the airport as a result.

I submitted a claim with all the relevant screenshots of the error and booking details, but support kept replying that they “couldn’t find my booking” and repeatedly asked for the same confirmation — even though I had already provided it multiple times. Which just proved the point that ther was a glitch. After several resubmissions, they closed my case, stating that I failed to provide the documents.

It’s very disappointing and feels like the process is designed to avoid resolving genuine issues.

I recently experienced a flight delay…

I recently experienced a flight delay that was eventually rescheduled. Although it was frustrating at first, I was very pleased with how your company handled the situation. After two hours, we were offered food and water, and the pilot kept us regularly updated. I was provided with a nearby hotel for the night, including dinner and breakfast, and received compensation under EU regulations quickly and without hassle. Overall, I’m really happy with how everything was resolved and look forward to flying with you again!

Never again – terrible service and greedy business model

I flew with Wizz Air a few days ago and it was honestly one of the worst airline experiences I’ve had. I accidentally left my jacket at the hotel and was freezing on the flight. I asked the crew for a small blanket and was told I’d have to pay for one. No compassion, no care — just profit first.

The airport experience was just as bad. Even though I checked in online, I still had to queue for ages because their system requires manual check-ins. One person was working the desk while an entire flight of passengers waited. The “priority” queue isn’t much better - you just pay more to stand in a slightly shorter line.

Their whole model is about charging extra for basic comfort or convenience. The only positive was that they got me from A to B safely, but the rest was abysmal. I’ll never fly with them again.

Thefts in white gloves!!!!

Thefts in white gloves!!!!! They have charged me twice for an one way ticket due to a glitch at their website which they admitted. It took them nearly 2 months to answer to my claim and rejected it sending a ready made message. I'm waiting another 2 months for their answer to my 2nd email. Absolutely shocking. I never fly with them again, even if they are the cheapest. Shame on you wizzair!!!!

Appalling service from Wizz Air

Appalling service from Wizz Air. Passengers on flight W95302 to London were taken off the plane twice before the flight was finally cancelled; clearly, efficiency isn’t their strong suit.

Not a single Wizz representative appeared at the terminal to explain what was happening or to apologise. No hotel or food vouchers were issued and no assistance was offered. Instead, hundreds of passengers were left to sort out their own hotels and alternative flights.

To top it off, both the Wizz Air phones and website were down, making it impossible to contact anyone.

A truly impressive performance - if the goal was to make sure nobody ever flies with them again.

NEVER AGAIN!!

Booked our holiday via Thomas Cook and was gutted when realising we were flying with Wizz Air… knowing of their extremely poor reputation I was on guard and making sure everything was spot on gave me pre-holiday anxiety expecting issues at the airport. However, to my surprise the flight out was good, no issues whatsoever and the on-board team were kind and friendly. I relaxed and assumed the airline had read their reviews and decided to stop their abuse of customers… I enjoyed Cyprus and switched off as you would expect to on holiday.

Relaxing so much I didn’t realise we didn’t check in online prior to our arrival at Larnaca airport.

Wizz Air over joyed as they can now blackmail their customers in to handing over £50 pp ao they can go home!!! As if we have a choice to pay… do not pay do not fly!!

Apparently, it cost £150 in total for three to check you in at the airport…. For what????

We were sent to a desk paid a cashier without giving ANY flight details or personal details got a receipt went back to the bag drop showed the receipt and allowed to process through.

What did I get for the £150 ?? What changed?? What did I pay for?!!

Ruined the holiday really and to top it off the flight attendants on the way home were disgustingly rude especially to my elderly and disabled mother. Not one ounce of kindness like the flight over.

I will never fly wizz ever again.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Wizz Air took my money and never issued the ticket!

My friend tried to book a flight with Wizz Air, but his card was declined, so he asked me to help and pay on his behalf. I made the payment via bank transfer, quoting the exact reference number he was given.

Wizz Air said the ticket would be issued within 48 hours. After 48 hours, however, they told my friend they hadn’t received the payment — even though the money clearly left my account. He ended up having to buy another ticket, paying twice for the same flight!

We contacted their complaints department, and I sent them official proof of payment from my bank as they requested. But after that, they completely stopped responding. No refund, no follow-up, nothing.

This experience has been terrible. It’s unacceptable that a big company like Wizz Air can take people’s money and ignore them. It honestly feels like fraud, and they should not be allowed to treat customers this way.

Be wary of this airline

Very sneaky company, I needed to change a flight 7 months before I flew, website said it would be £33 approx charge per passenger. I expected about £90 returned to me, spoke to live agent who said in the small print they actually won't refund me anything and will essentially keep both fares.

Beware of this dirty behaviour..

I wanted to buy a ticket that was €160. By mistake, I selected one way, so I went back to change it and add a return date. Surprise — the price had already gone up by €30! Well done, Wizzair — in just 5 minutes you managed to increase the fare by €30.

They get a bad press as they are a low cost provider , I flew from Luton to Tirana Tirana Luton for dental treatment to be honest my personal experience was satisfactory , Luton airport is like a cattle market packed all the time , that's not Wizz airs fault ,my experience was that they did not check the bags as I had been told and were only professional and getting the job don't. Smart and courteous cabin staff who have a very hard job as their planes are nearly always full , yrs ok they sell add ons like snacks and drinks etc but that's to be expected and I think fairly priced , boarding is handled as well as can be expected so on the whole I had a fairly positive experience , to avoid getting charges check in online that have a very efficient app just make sure your personal item fits you csn push and squash it into the size frame as kind as it goes in your good if not you might get spotted and charged but to be honest the gate assistants are so busy I think they are lenient if you have a blatantly too large a bag and paid only personal item that's on you

Ukrainian Non Biometric Passports

My Ukrainian wife wanted to go and visit her parents in Odesa so I'd booked a flight with Wizz Air to fly to Chisinau to catch the bus. She been doing over the past years with her non biometric passports using a Moldavian airline with no issues. Today we turned up at the check-in desk only to be denied boarding because Moldova will not accept non biometric passports! I regard this as factually incorrect and told the supervisor this. Even went on the Moldovan website to check this but the supervisor refused point blank to budge. I regard what the supervisor said was a lie as I asked for documentary evidence to prove this.

If you are Ukrainian then do not use this airline if you want to see your family in Ukraine. and have a non biometric passport cause the Ukrainian government is too incompetent to provide proper visa services in other countries.

Theiving criminals.

Theiving criminals! Will try to never fly with them, unless I have no other option. Flying out of the UK their checking in works fine. Trying to fly back to the UK they will block their website, "sorry error has occoured". Forcing us to check in at the airport for a €45 fee.
