Customers frequently reported issues with the website and app, describing them as clunky, buggy, and poorly designed, leading to difficulties with basic functionalities like logging in, submitting applications, and accessing information. Reviewers also expressed dissatisfaction with the product itself, noting that it often failed to correctly parse resumes, required repetitive data entry, and lacked intuitive features. Complete pile of time wasting crap

Complete pile of time wasting crap
Had this rubbish system for booking holiday forced on us at work. Impossible to access. Never recognises your password. Now can't reset it as stupid system wants answers to security questions that don't apply to me and wouldn't have set up in the first place. Now wants a code from Microsoft Authenticator App. No instructions on how to use. Nowhere to put code. Trying to access my holiday bookings for a week now. Absolutely bloody fed up with it. Never known such a totally rubbish system.

One of the worst platforms. Terrible candidate experience

Every time I see that an application is on Workday my heart sinks. Such a nightmare to input information, have issues with the password every single time, even when saved on devices. Such an awful platform, just putting this here in the hopes that more potential employers do not choose Workday as the candidate experience it so terrible.

This platform should not exist

This platform should not exist. What kind of a stupid platform asks every applicant for every single job posting to sign up to get an account. Location inputting issue is not solved for many competitions. Now I get this WDRES issue, where almost all input fields have this WDRES prefix (it looks really messy and unprofessional) due to some coding issues. I can already think of many minutes lost on this stupid workday platform. This platform is the epitome of redundancies and inefficiencies in job seeker experience. If employers care about their employer brand and candidate experience they don't use this platform which makes zero sense.

not pleased!

Everyone's already brought up the issues with the resume autofill never properly working and such, which are valid, but I want to chip in with my unique experience of my major not existing in the eyes of Workday. Despite my degree clearly saying I graduated in the field of Data Analytics, because it's not one of the options in the "major" dropdown menu and I *have* to use one of those options, I quite literally can't proceed with many applications for jobs I'm otherwise qualified for. Please be wary if you have a major that's apparently too niche for them.

Using Workday to put my profile online…

Using Workday to put my profile online for a job posting was a joke! It is so much easier to just email a CV or resume vs. using the workday software. I ended up having to manually enter most of my work history and the software is pathetic for doing ATS and populating fields after the resume is uploaded. I haven't seen this when I have used other software programs and what a waste of time workday truly is. And then there are the payroll problems. Uggghhhh

Workday: Proud sponsor of starving children & abused employees

I actually have to wonder if Workday actually enjoys being genuinely cruel. And cruelty is indeed the most accurate emotion here - because quite literally, children are left unfed, women are stuck with sexually abusive managers, & workers are being taken advantage of everywhere, yet though they are in a circumstance where they desperately need to apply for a new job, they can't. Why? Because Workday is the "application." And if the process of applying wasn't stressful enough, Workday is here to make sure you still worry about whether you have money to feed your family or yourself. So yes, cruel is accurate. Imagine how you would feel if you:
1) Have just been laid off
2) Are desperately searching for a new job
3) Have a job but under terrible/bullying/abusive managers and want to get out

And then you see a position that you're a great fit for, but then with a great pit in your stomach and sinking heart, you see the application is on Workday.
With Workday, you have to:
1) Create a new email and login for EVERY COMPANY THAT USES WORKDAY, AS THEY DO NOT SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
2) This renders "use my last application" USELESS as you will have to physically create a new account
3) The "AI" is useless in that if will NOT parse your LinkedIn or resume correctly, meaning you have to type in 20+ years worth of experience MANUALLY. You still have to upload a CV at the end, so what is the point?
4) Imagine you spend 40 minutes doing that, only to get to a drop down field and Workday DOESN'T LOAD? For the end of time, you have a blank spinning wheel when you've spent nearly an hour on an application that should have taken minutes.

So it's clear Workday takes pride in literally making or breaking life and death for some people.

⭐☆☆☆☆ | Absolute Nightmare

⭐☆☆☆☆ | Absolute Nightmare

Using the Workday app is like willingly stepping into a black hole of frustration and inefficiency. If I could rate it zero stars, I would. This app is a perfect example of how to take something that should be simple—like checking your schedule or submitting a timesheet—and turn it into a labyrinth of confusion.

The interface looks like it was designed in the early 2000s and never updated. It's clunky, unintuitive, and everything is buried under layers of pointless menus. Want to check your time-off balance? Good luck finding it without a map and a compass.

Every task takes three times longer than it should. You’d think submitting a timesheet would be straightforward, but Workday insists on turning it into a convoluted mess. Even worse, the app constantly freezes, crashes, and logs you out for no reason. I've had more successful interactions with a toaster.

Notifications are inconsistent, so you’re either bombarded with useless alerts or you miss important ones entirely. The app is supposed to make managing work easier, but instead, it feels like I'm battling it just to get basic tasks done.

The only thing this app is good for is raising your blood pressure. If you value your sanity, avoid this app and any employers that use it, like the plague.

Application Deterrent

It is just hopeless when applying for jobs, beyond appalling, cannot even keep a word as one word yet companies somehow keep buying it, it;s causing a crisis in the workplace. Lacks testing and needs to be shelved.
I've also use on the other side and actually creates work.

Workday expense reporting is terrible

Workday expense reporting is terrible. Receipt scan is primitive and error prone. Also, the phone knows where it is. Why can't you use that to determine currency? Also, some merchants are pretty predictable, like McDonalds for meals. Do we really have to assign the same expense category manually each and every time?

Workday is an Absolute Disaster - Shame on You!

If there was an award for the worst job application platform ever, Workday would win it hands down. Your system is a complete disaster, a shameful mess that makes job hunting a nightmare. Autofill? Nonexistent. Drop-down menus? A joke. Slow and unresponsive? Every single time.

To whoever is in charge at Workday, have you ever tried using your own product? It's like you intentionally designed it to be as frustrating and inefficient as possible. Creating new accounts for every job application, manually entering the same information over and over again—what century are you living in? This is the age of AI and automation, yet your platform behaves like it was built in the Stone Age.

The lack of flexibility is astounding. Can’t find my major? Too bad. Want to list my skills without retyping them every single time? Forget it. You’ve made it abundantly clear that user experience means nothing to you.

And let’s talk about your customer support—or rather, the lack of it. Slow responses, unresolved issues, and a general lack of care for the people you’re supposed to be helping. It’s pathetic.

To any company still using Workday, wake up! You are losing top talent because we can’t stand this platform. It’s clunky, outdated, and downright infuriating. Workday, if you have any shame at all, you should step down and let someone who understands technology take over. You’re an embarrassment to the industry.

Worst. Tool. Ever.

At this point, I don't even bother applying if it is using workday. Companies have been parsing resumes for ages and yet, in this day and age of AI assist, workday can't seem to do it. It chokes on autofills, half the drop downs don't work, it's just a mess.

Hiring managers, if you are still using myworkdayjobs, know that tons of good talent is just passing you by.

Workday major issues

After a few terrible experiences going through WorkDay to apply for a job, I just exit the application process as soon as I see a company using Workday. It is just not worth the time or the effort. This job application platform is one of the worst ones out there and any company using it is not worth working at.
