Very Disappointing

Delivery service never arrived

I made my very first order last weekend. I have chosen a Tuesday 24th of March delivery date, the delivery service had a one day delay. They use DPD which is known to be the worst, and as I thought the DPD just dumped my delivery anywhere they want. Not in front of my door, not my concierge but in a communal area, by the time I arrived after my 10 hour shift, so looking forward to the parcel for my lunch and dinner the next few days it’s nowhere to be found. Yes, I went on every single floor of my block and the other block of a total 50 floor to try to find and locate my parcel.

This is my first order so I got £5 off my delivery but if I had to pay £7 for that to have them dump my parcel anywhere they want nowhere to be found. Why should I pay this? I messaged Customer Service info email same evening we are on Saturday now still no one replied me but instead I received a feedback trust pilot email. I have asked for a redelivery or a refund. Honestly, if the Service keeps using DPD, I don’t think I can ever order again. Please, someone get back to me, did not plan to spend almost £40 to write this.

FYI, CS has replied me and refunded full amount. I truly hope they would switch into other delivery service because I really want to be their long-term customer but with that delivery service with DPD I really cannot trust them.

I’m a loyal customer for about 3 years…

I’m a loyal customer for about 3 years now. In this year alone there have been at least more than 5 occasions where orders were not delivered or delayed. I raised customer complaints by writing to the company. They did refund me. However, there was no apology. Instead, their staff called me verbally insulted me over the phone. They were very rude. I tried to discuss with them and all I did was being honest. They however asked me to never order again and hang up. They left me shocked.

Staff very aggressive and abusive

Orders been missed. Had to raise customer complaints. Responses from the company was no apology. To be fair, refund was issued. However, staff was really rude. They abusively accused us as not supporting them. We've been buying from them for long time. I've just been honest with them when I didn't get what I ordered. According to their staff, the so called 'support' they need is keep your mouth shut even if they failed to deliver. And, according to their staff, the so called 'support' they need is being verbally abused by them. Just take it as is. That's the message they told me. Astonishing.

Much tastier than a Takeaway

Food was great and very tasty. Easy to prepare also. As the ingredients were fresh the taste was far superior to any Takeaway I've tried. Will order again for special occasions.

Unsafe practices & they treat you with contempt

Ordered a chilled WowzaBox delivery scheduled for Friday 9 January, which did not arrive until Saturday 10 January.

On delivery:
The ice packs had fully melted into water
The prawn and pork dishes were not cold
The cold chain was clearly broken

Because prawns and pork are high-risk foods, we did not consume them for food safety reasons.

I contacted WowzaBox customer service and provided details of the late delivery and the condition of the box. Despite this, they:
Refused to refund the affected items
Stated that the delivery was safe because their boxes “stay fresh for 48 hours”
Incorrectly claimed there were no meat products in the order, despite prawns and pork being clearly listed

There was no apology for the delayed delivery or the condition of the food.

Based on this experience, I have serious concerns about both customer service handling and food safety standards when deliveries are delayed.

I have purchased with them regularly for the last couple of years as you can see from 2 previous reviews I gave in 2024. They clearly do not value loyal customers and prefer going after new ones. Please do not buy.

Birthday celebration.

We ordered a large box of dishes for a family celebration. It arrived all beautifully packaged and the dishes were delicious. We loved all of them but the tofu dish was a huge hit which surprised everyone.
I cooked for 7 people and there was plenty of food.
I would highly recommend Wowza box. Fantastic.

Really tasty dishes

Really tasty dishes, especially the umami earth stir fry! Some of the instructions are a little off beat and need some cook instincts. Great touch that thé water can be measured using the pots provided - stroke of genius!!

WowzaBox expired £24 of store credit without warning

I took a break from WowzaBox after three consecutive orders arrived with packaging issues and leaking products.

In September, they emailed to say I had £24 of store credit “waiting for me.” A month later, they quietly expired that credit without any warning. Their website states, "We will send you a reminder before any points expire," but THEY DID NOT DO SO. It is a COMPLETE LIE.

When I complained, customer service simply repeated that my credit had expired and showed no interest in resolving the issue. I forwarded them the emails I received, highlighting the "Your 2664 Points Are Waiting" message and the lack of any expiry email... they did not reply. If they believe they are being courteous by ignoring the complaint, they are mistaken.

I spent a lot of money with WowzaBox over the years since their launch, but due to quality issues and their current handling of loyal customers, they are no longer the company they once were.

Terrible customer service

Wowzabox believe it is okay for fresh food including chicken, beef and fish to arrive after 50 hours .

After asking for a replacement box or a refund , they offered a £5 voucher . This would only cover postage .

They did not respond to my follow up email showing proof that box arrived more than 48 hours after shipping time .

Food when it arrives on time is good but customer service when something goes wrong is absolutely awful .

Edit - wowzabox based on their reply seem to believe that there are 50 hours in a 2 day period .

Would you just a company that can’t count with the food you consume ?

Just to clarify, under UK courier industry standards, next-day delivery services are only guaranteed to arrive within 2 days, and occasional delays can happen, especially during busy periods.

That said, our insulated packaging is specifically designed and tested to keep meals below 8°C for up to two days, even for fresh items like chicken, beef, and fish. This is especially effective during the current colder weather, which helps maintain a safe internal temperature even in the event of a delay.

Very good

Really tasty. Ex China resident here so accustomed to more varied flavours. this service provides a load of flavours that I wouldn’t realistically be able to do at home and miles better than takeaway which near me is always the same Cantonese style. Sichuan beef is completely delicious.

Wowzabox is exactly that!

Just had our first Wowzabox and we've been blown away by how such a flavoursome meal can be made so quickly, easily and affordably. Why have a subscription if belief in the product is so high the customer will want to get it again. I know we will. Highly recommended.

This company has so much potential

This company has so much potential. The meals are tasty, easy to make, and can save you tons of time in the week.

However, when ordering 4 meals, they should have a 4 day shelf life when they arrive. The box I ordered had a shelf life of 2 days when it arrived meaning that 2 meals would be wasted.

I contacted the company and they did not help. They suggested that I cook all 4 meals before the meat went off and reheated or froze the meals for later consumption. This is not why I bought the box - I bought it because I wanted fresh meals each day. Disappointing.

I will probably try the box one more time because I have ordered 3 boxes before and only had this disappointing experience in 1 of the boxes.

Shelf life is always a careful balance. While there are methods to extend it, these would inevitably compromise the taste and overall quality. Our philosophy is to provide freshly prepared meals, as we believe this delivers the best possible experience. As a result, the shelf life is naturally shorter.

All of our boxes come with a 3-day shelf life, including the day of delivery. If you would like to extend this, you can either cook and freeze the meal, or freeze the meat and sauce while adding your own fresh vegetables when you are ready to prepare it.

Fresh and authentic taste

All the dishes ordered tasted great with lots of flavours. Ingredients are fresh and well-packaged. Cooking process is very easy following the YouTube video instructions. Would definitely order again and try out different dishes.

Amazing food

Amazing food, the best kit meals we've ever had!

We've had 3 different meals so far and all have been really tasty and easy to prepare.

I would say if you wanted to prepare multiple meals at the same time you'd quickly run out of space though.

The food arrived very well packed and…

The food arrived very well packed and the instruction had to be got from a QR Link. The only meal I have had from the 5 that I chose is the Hanna Satay. The meal was cooked according to the instructions. It was heavily salted and the Veg only had three very thin sliced Green peppers and two slices of Red peppers. The amount of food and the taste of the chicken was good, but the saltiness was off putting.
