Our relationship with WRS has always been excellent. Aisha is a breath of fresh air and its always a pleasure speaking to her, whatever the reason for the call.

When trying to renew via my existing broker, they became evasive as to how tiny changes in volunteers numbers, that they now insisted I notify, affected premiums and whether a small change would even affect that renewal. Although they replied multiple times they kept failing to address my concerns and seemed to just want me to pay up and renew even after I told them that I no longer had confidence in their competence as a broker and would be seeking cover elsewhere.

After some research into brokers I spoke with Brandon Reynolds from WRS who did a manual quote as the final assumptions listed before accepting the online quote did not all apply. He listened to my concerns about getting the right cover rather than just having ticked a box that I had got "insurance" which may have become compromised in the event of a claim. He got me a better deal with wider risks included yet with the same underwriter. It became evident that as systems had changed over the years with our previous broker from all activities being described and noted down manually, towards a labour saving selection box method where they saw the category boxes but we did not, there had been significant creep in what was actually covered. Had we ever needed to make a claim the policy would have been likely compromised.

It was so reassuring to go through things with Brandon to ensure the right cover was selected and he was very efficient in getting the quote arranged. A manual quote understandably involves a small fee for the extra work and although with over 18 years in the field we have never made a claim, it is essential that we are covered appropriately. No matter how diligent you are, we are after all human and can make mistakes and we cannot control all outside factors. I would strongly recommend discussing anything that may potentially deviate from a typical role of an organisation of your type or if you are in any way unsure of whether you are getting the right cover. As I typed this review I even had a follow up call from one of Brandon's colleagues to ensure I was happy with everything.

I was in unknown territory with this insurance need - Public Liability Insurance for a community group - and Sarah quickly grasped what was needed and explained clearly what was available. Later she responded promptly and courteously to queries which arose after our initial chat. Very impressed with the service and happy with the policy.

Responsive, understanding, and great service overall. Some insurance company made us aware they don't insure this type of church denomination, and we find that a bit discriminative but WRS was more welcoming.

Easy to deal with, arranged insurance for a unique charity

Used them for the first time this year having seen presentations by them at VCSE events and so realised they were committed to servicing the voluntary sector. There was an inconsistency in our online quote but I phoned them about it, got through very quickly to a nice human being who not only fixed it but also provided continuity of support until we had taken out the policy, ie. emailed by and spoke to the same named individual for the rest of the transaction. Very happy. Just four stars not five because the inconsistency in the online quote was something that would affect lots of charities and I would have thought it really should be been fixed ages ago.
