Brilliant thank you

My parcel come in plenty of time, even arrived before the delivery due date. Would buy from here again

I placed an order on 14th June 2025 for 3 L’Oreal products.

I normally check out the reviews on Trustpilot if I have never ordered from a specific company before.

However, I made a huge error this time round and didn’t do it. I had noted that the company was based in Rawtenstall, Rossendale, Lancashire in the UK so thought everything would be fine.

How wrong was I?

I got an E Mail confirmation almost straight away but one thing I noticed which I thought was very odd was that the delivery date was down as 27th June. That’s a day short of 2 weeks. No one takes as long as that nowadays to deliver even if something is coming via Royal Mail.

Shortly afterwards the money was taken from my account.

Anyway, I left it and thought to myself once I get a dispatch E Mail it’ll all become clear plus at this point I had no idea who would be delivering my order (courier or Royal Mail).

On 22nd June when I hadn’t received any notification at all I decided to message them and simply ask for an update on my order.

The reply was simply sending me the original confirmation E Mail and asking me to wait the full delivery time (ie until 27th June) and only then advising them of any issues.

It was, at that point alarm bells started to ring.

Why couldn’t they tell me if my order had or had not been dispatched?

I immediately responded confirming that I had indeed received their original confirmation of order E Mail but compared to other online retailers their delivery time was extremely slow and I had hoped that it was just an estimate. I also reiterated my request for information on a dispatch confirmation and attempted to find out who their courier was.

This was their response “Hello, a dispatch email should normally be sent however we are having some work done our system. We use a third party courier, who have their own set of couriers. It will say on the dispatch email which courier is being used.”

If that isn’t a contradiction in terms I don’t know what is!

That’s when I looked them up on Trustpilot and realised that I had made a huge mistake as the reviews weren’t good and there were people with similar issues to mine.

I thereafter left things until Wednesday 25th June and as I still at that late point didn’t know whether or not I was getting my items or not, I E Mailed them again asking if I would be waiting in all day on Friday 27th on an order that hadn’t even been dispatched yet as I still hadn’t received any notification. I also stated that their Trustpilot reviews didn’t inspire confidence.

Their response this time was as follows “Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you haven’t received your order..  It should have been with you by now. We would like to ask that you check any ‘safe’ places or anywhere that the parcel might have been left before we get in touch with the courier and start a trace?
Also could you please confirm your delivery address so we can check everything is right, this should help speed up the trace with the couriers?
Thank you for your cooperation”

That was the last straw.

I confirmed that my order definitely hadn’t been delivered and if I didn’t receive a refund I would be contacting my credit card company and they would have to answer to them.

Their reply “thank you for your email this evening. We are having a new system put in at the moment. Unfortunately it is causing some disruptions to our back office. I am sincerely sorry about this issue. We use a third party courier spring parcel who use their own set of couriers to dispatch our parcels. Who they use depends on size weight and value. 
I can confirm that we have cancelled and refunded your order.
Sincerest apologies”

The only positive thing about this fiasco is that they did indeed issue me with a refund which cleared this morning.

You can’t help but ask yourself the question how on earth does a company manage to survive in this day and age if it’s run in this chaotic way?

You really couldn’t make it up!

If you want to keep your sanity AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

** On 6th July I received an E Mail from Peony of the Feedback Management Team trying to have my negative Trustpilot review improved and asking if there was anything that she could do to facilitate this. Unfortunately it’s far too late. The time to have done something was when I was attempting to find out if my order had been dispatched. Fortunately, I had received my refund which was the best I could have hoped for in the circumstances **

Received the goods promptly and had good follow up communication.

Had the product I wanted at a brilliant price. Kept updated re delivery which was at a very reasonable cost and was delivered much earlier than the estimated date. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be shopping there again. 5*

Very prompt delivery.

Placed order on 25/05/2025 and still not received it 17 days later. Contacted numerous times and keep saying we are checking with the courier and won't provide a tracking number. No email to say it's been dispatched but they have taken the money from my account 😡

Ordered and paid, 3 weeks later still hadn’t had an email to confirm dispatch. Company said the courier have lost it but they didn’t even dispatch it to the courier in the first place. Had I not chased they would have kept the money and done nothing. Take your business elsewhere.
Edit 09/06. The company have now emailed to ask how they can resolve this to improve my review, as part of my response I asked them to evidence they did actually dispatch the order to the couriers. Apparently they have a new system they are still “getting to grips with” and are unable to send me the dispatch email. Convenient!

The delivery was quick indeed, but all 3 mascaras I ordered were dry as a desert. One of them was even opened cause the sealing was broken. I won't be ordering from here again. No thank you.
