Good: I put in a request to have my washer/dryer looked at in the evening. I was contacted and had someone come out to me the next day in the afternoon. Very prompt action. I was impressed

Bad: I was informed that there was a part needed as my dryer wasn't working. The washer works fine as long as I have the dryer off. However, I was informed that the machine needed the part otherwise it would gradually stop working. Weighing the prices, it was more worth it to pay for the part and for the extra service of repair. For context, the cost of repair was approximately 4 times more than the callout fee alone. They got the part in and replaced it.
The original problem didn't go away. I contacted the serviceman. He didn't respond. I emailed 1homeservice, and THEN he responded. He said something entirely different and said that he'd need to go in again and look at the dryer function properly as it's not working.... I asked if I needed to pay extra for him to come out again because if I knew his advice wasn't going to work I'd have said no to it and just paid out the initial callout fee and that was it. He didn't respond.

I contacted 1homeservice directly again, this time calling them. They said they'll communicate via whatsapp. I told them the entire details above. They said for me to wait while they investigate.

It has been 13 days and there is still no response.

I do not advise going with this service. If they had been clear to me from the outset whether the issue may be fixed or not, I would have made a more informed decision. The fact that they did not, and then failed to be responsive thereafter, gives the impression that they only care about getting me to pay for a more thorough repair than just the callout fee and then refuse to take accountability if the repair didn't work.

Edward came & repaired my washing machine, on the same day as I phoned in.
He was extremely pleasant telling me exactly what he was doing.
A bit pricey but all sorted in one day can’t be bad.
Fortunately he had the parts with him & showed me the bits he had taken off.

Edward was very friendly and sorted the issue with the dishwasher out in no time.

I was charged £75 for an “inspection” that took less than two minutes. The technician did not even bother to open the dishwasher, simply declared that it needed replacing, and left. No proper assessment, no attempt at repair, nothing. This is highly unprofessional, misleading, and feels like a way of charging customers without delivering any real service. I strongly advise others to be cautious.

A bit disappointing. The guy could have told me the same answer based on what I had written in the inquiry - a high pitched noise coming from your fridge freezer is a faulty compressor which is over £300 to replace so you're better off getting a new one. But did he? No. He came out. Came to that conclusion when I repeated that info. No need or benefit from an in-person visit at all. Felt duped. Very disappointing.

Very simple write up for a fridge repair.
Prompt responses, fast quotation, fast repair and very fair pricing. One of my best experiences recently.

they are like scammer. they sent the engineer a day before the scheduled date. The engineer looked so rush and just spent exact 2 mins to examine my fridge. He just opened the fridge door and told me this gonna cost me £279 gbp. Even he didn’t bother to look at the engine thoroughly. And then straightway asked me to pay £70 gbp for his visiting. Imagine, if they do it 100 addresses per day like, how much money they make per day without doing any work.

The repair was completed within an hour, and the pricing was fair and transparent.

The engineer is incredibly professional and a real expert, wore shoe covers to protect my kitchen floor, and cleaned up completely after finishing the work. My dishwasher now runs smoothly and quietly, just like it did when it was new.

Pleasant, efficient service.

First time using 1 Home Service and I'm impressed. Very easy to book; I booked a next day morning slot the evening before with no issue.

Eduard arrived early within the confirmed time slot (though there was no on-the-day notification of arrival, which could have been helpful, but not a big deal at all.)

He was very professional, friendly, diligent and efficient and made zero mess with a washing machine of trapped water!

I will agree that the required spare part was quoted at double the price of what's on the Zanussi website, but we have been given a 12 month guarantee on the part and the job was completed in less than an hour and I've got my washing machine back. You've got to decide what you want to pay for.

I'm very pleased. Will use 1HomeService again (hopefully not soon) and will definitely recommend to others. Thank you, Eduard!
