Eduard did a very good and fast job to repair my LG washing machine.
The only frustration was that it took 8 days to get the part instead of 3-4 as I was told initially

The engineer obviously didn't know what he was talking about. He insisted that our washing machine required a new door lock despite being told that was not the problem. £250 later he agreed and disappeared not heard from since.

Over £230 to fix the catch on a dishwasher - taking advantage of elderly customers - avoid

Booked for the next day, only to be told they couldnt come until Monday (I had to call to even check the appointment was going ahead). The lady Emma kept hanging up the phone mid-way, cutting me off which was SO RUDE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Good: I put in a request to have my washer/dryer looked at in the evening. I was contacted and had someone come out to me the next day in the afternoon. Very prompt action. I was impressed

Bad: I was informed that there was a part needed as my dryer wasn't working. The washer works fine as long as I have the dryer off. However, I was informed that the machine needed the part otherwise it would gradually stop working. Weighing the prices, it was more worth it to pay for the part and for the extra service of repair. For context, the cost of repair was approximately 4 times more than the callout fee alone. They got the part in and replaced it.
The original problem didn't go away. I contacted the serviceman. He didn't respond. I emailed 1homeservice, and THEN he responded. He said something entirely different and said that he'd need to go in again and look at the dryer function properly as it's not working.... I asked if I needed to pay extra for him to come out again because if I knew his advice wasn't going to work I'd have said no to it and just paid out the initial callout fee and that was it. He didn't respond.

I contacted 1homeservice directly again, this time calling them. They said they'll communicate via whatsapp. I told them the entire details above. They said for me to wait while they investigate.

It has been 13 days and there is still no response.

I do not advise going with this service. If they had been clear to me from the outset whether the issue may be fixed or not, I would have made a more informed decision. The fact that they did not, and then failed to be responsive thereafter, gives the impression that they only care about getting me to pay for a more thorough repair than just the callout fee and then refuse to take accountability if the repair didn't work.

Edward came & repaired my washing machine, on the same day as I phoned in.
He was extremely pleasant telling me exactly what he was doing.
A bit pricey but all sorted in one day can’t be bad.
Fortunately he had the parts with him & showed me the bits he had taken off.

Edward was very friendly and sorted the issue with the dishwasher out in no time.
