I requested a quote for a small removal from London to Aberdeen, consisting of 20 medium boxes and just 4 small items (a wicker unit, a planter, a plant, and a small altar). I explicitly chose a part-load/shared vehicle option and offered total flexibility with dates to keep costs down by sharing the journey with other customers.To my absolute shock, they quoted me a staggering £1,295!

This is an absurd and ridiculous price for such a tiny volume. The whole purpose of a shared move is to split costs, but they are clearly trying to charge for a full dedicated vehicle for just a few items. What kind of service is this? Totally unprofessional and a complete waste of time. Avoid them if you are looking for an honest or affordable quote.

This Company are swift, competitively priced, prompt, courteous and efficient - would highly recommend them.

We used 1st Movers Edinburgh for our move from Perth to Edinburgh. We haven't had to use a removal company before. But for future removals I will be choosing 1st Movers. The communication from the office was stellar, Sarah kept me informed of the process all the way throughout. And when the day for the move came, Alan, Eric and Max were fantastic, very professional service and they get the job done .

I needed to move household goods from South Wales to Edinburgh and I was lucky to come across the site for 1stmovers., co.uk.
I telephoned the office and was fortunate to find myself talking to Sarah. As soon as she explained the process of the move I knew that I was in a safe pair of hands.
After a few questions I received an estimate the same day.
After another conversation the dates for collection and delivery were soon arranged. Everything went well, the goods being collected on time and were delivered safely the next day.
The two man crew were excellent, both efficient and capable and extremely helpful.
Thanks to Sarah’s help and advice for making the whole process easy.
I would certainly use this company again and would recommend it to others.

Excellent service. We moved a piano from a third floor flat (no easy feat), and it was dealt with in a prompt, sympathetic, and professional way. Great communication, I was kept informed at all times, and the booking process was very straightforward. I would use this company again.

Sarah was outstanding - helpful, friendly, professional and informative. She arranged the removal of our grand piano and we could not be happier with the service. The team were fast, efficient, punctual, polite and tidy. Cannot recommend 1st Movers more highly and grateful to Sarah for such great service.

I was initially dealing with Sarah ( Trainee Operator) about getting a quote for my removal. Then someone called Mo called me out of the blue occasionally to discuss matters further. I had no idea who he was and what position he held in 1st Movers. To summarize, the communication and standard of customer service in particular from both of the above mentioned was 1 star in my opinion. I did not go ahead with this company for my move and would not recommend them if you are trying to source a good highly rated removal company.

Very happy with this service, Mo was extremely helpful and great to deal with and Sarah was also helpful. The guys were brilliant, picked up when they said they would and called ahead to say they were close. Delivered, next day, at our request with no issues. Removed a heavy old upright piano for disposal. Punctual and removal was very quick. Would recommend.

This is a great company, significantly cheaper than other national moving companies. They moved us from Aberdeen to London overnight. Everything went smoothly. The moving staff were very professional and polite. Office staff were also really responsive and helpful. I’m 100% happy with this company.

I needed to send some furniture from Bristol to my daughter in Glasgow, including some antiques.
The company liaised well and the staff both ends were helpful and friendly.
I was impressed by how carefully the two antique items were wrapped to ensure that they weren't damaged en route.
I would certainly use them again.
