We employed these guys for our house move within Edinburgh, which included moving a number of boxes, large furniture and an electronic piano from one property (and a separate storage facility) to another. Sarah fully organised our move, and was able to adjust details with us to ensure we got the right type of removal and at our preferred time. The removal guys arrived bang on time despite the heavy snow, were really kind and friendly, and got straight to work. No fuss, no drama, exactly what we wanted, and very reasonably priced.

My experience started off on a really good note - easy to schedule with the office, good follow-up, and a great price. The driver/mover was really nice and showed up on time and worked quickly. Upon delivery we noticed that water had leaked into the moving truck and it soaked the bottom of some of our boxes and also got into the mattress (despite it being wrapped in plastic). Everything in the boxes ended up being ok, but the mattress was so damp on one end it was not usable. I have called and emailed 1st movers a couple times to have our mattress replaced and I am told someone will get back to me, but no one ever does. It's going on 4 weeks and it looks like we are going to be out the cost of a new mattress - which offsets the good moving price. Such a shame that really friendly service has been offset by an inability to resolve our issue with the damaged mattress.

Moved stuff from Storage unit in Glasgow to London. Didn't even have to be in Glasgow to organise. Communication was great. Price was great. Delivery driver was great.

Great service—coordinated my move from Edinburgh to Glasgow without a problem. They were able to work around my approximates when it came to the load, and did their best to be flexible with my time needs which worked out great. Totally recommend.

Easily booked a move of a 172kg fridge into our house that the company we purchased from team had failed to achieve.

The move was conducted quickly, carefully and professionally despite the only 1cm gap between the door and the fridge and awkward turns involved.

Easy to book online, they called straight back to discuss requirements. Movers were efficient (actually started early), careful and quick. Good value for small moves as they charge by the hour. I have used 1st Movers 3 times now and would definitely use again.

I can recommend this company very highly. They helped me move house during lockdown - their telephone customer service was excellent. They explained the whole process and all charges clearly and continued to communicate with me right until the moving date. The two porters they sent were friendly and very quick. This really made the whole experience of moving much better.
