I went to purchase antivirus software and 2Checkout was the third party vendor for billing. They requested I send a picture of myself and my bank statement to verify it was my credit card. Yep, and they asked for it by unencrypted email. That is insane! When I questioned them further, they said that was my only option to get the payment to process. I'll take my business elsewhere. Crazy!
Update: I appreciate your reply but I've already attempted to resolve the issue with your customer service dept at the time of the incident and was repeatedly told the only way to resolve this was to send my personal sensitive information (photo of myself and a copy of my bank statement) via an unsecured email which is not something a prudent customer would do. There are much better ways to verify my CC information.
Bitdefender is an excellent product but they have unfortunately contracted with an incompetent third party biller, 2Checkout, who has policy and procedures in place that put the consumer at risk for fraud and personal identity theft. Those are unacceptable business practices and a company to avoid.

I hardly ever leave reviews. This one frustrated me so much it made sense to shed some light on the matter. I received an email saying my Netgear Armor (powered by Bitdefender) subscription would auto renew for $99.99 Unless you choose to forfeit your protection, you’ll be billed 99.99 USD on 2025-01-30. No where on this email is there a link to your account. It was a complete joke how long it took me to finally track down where my subscription was hiding. It wasn't with Netgear. Not Netgear Armor. No account with Bitdefender. It was with 2Checkout. Now Verifone. It seems like such a scam for this company to make it so challenging for someone to want to click the reminder email. And update their account accordingly. I know why they do it. It's to pray on the weak or less patient in order to keep collecting subscription money. I've never experienced such a complicated chain of events to stop an auto renewal that I don't recall signing up for. Unless that's the way this company structures their business model for this product. On an auto renew basis only when you sign up. Then make it so difficult to cancel it. It feels slimy.

I'm happy to work with 2Checkout. They accept many different payment methods including PayPal. Also they always help to solve all financial issues with orders including providing documents requested by customers. This e-commerce platform provides a lot of options and possibility to setup a custom checkout page for your website.

I have not even completed my transaction fully for a purchase. 2Checkout wants copies of my banking information and will NOT send that information to any unknown entity. I will contact the merchant and get a refund.
If you use a search engine to investigate 2Checkout requesting banking records, you will see that it the private information requests often lead to people reporting unauthorized charges on their accounts.

Scam, they run a company named Avangate affiliate system, and they offer you commissions for promoting products, once you get them the commissions they will start asking repeatedly for 100's of documents and never paying you the commissions, probably selling your documents as well, stay away from them and Avangate at all cost.

I cancelled the bitdefender automatic subscription and deleted my account but 2check Verifone hung around and enabled the fee of 74.99 instead of the Bitdefender fee of £34.
2Check are a third party Bitdefender doesn’t mention. Whether it was misinformed or a scam. It was not a good tactic.

Absolute joke of a system. This is 2024 and yet the processing time for an online payment is like it's 1999. Shame on you for egotistically claiming all this BS is for the 'security' of the buyer. Get up to date! Any product owner who uses these clowns as their payment provider deserves to go out of business.

I ordered 1 year antivirus through Bitdefender. Worst. Mistake. Ever. I went through this ridiculous company as my order was placed through my Paypal account which I have had FOREVER and the amount was pending.
So, I wait for the email and nothing came. So I started chat. Of course no one likes to do their job anymore so I get stuck with AI chatbot which "understands my concerns" and finally turns me over to a live person. I FINALLY get an email and this ridiculous, VERY SHADY company wants my photo ID and my address as evidence for a FORTY DOLLAR purchase of an ANTIVIRUS software? What????
I have NEVER gone through such ridiculous, shady nonsense EVER before in my life using my TRUSTED Paypal account. NEVER. So I call these people to dispute this garbage and tell them I refuse to hand over my photo ID and address for a FORTY DOLLAR antivirus key. I told the dude that I wanted a refund and that I was done being a loyal customer for over 5 years of Bitdefender. I will NEVER use this antivirus ever again.
He said that he reversed the charges, but I will contact Paypal just to be sure that this company ACTUALLY refunds my money. In all my years of purchasing things through Paypal, which is SUPPOSED to be quick and easy, I have NEVER dealt with such a horrendous company as this. Never again.

It's worthless. They don't send the money you earn for months. It is also not safe, they allow scammers.

The payment system does not accept Visa or MasterCard that is used by most of our clients.
Also, the clients are redirected to pay via Paypal which makes the payment process longer and user unfriendly.
As a result, we have many abandoned checkouts.

What went wrong, nothing!
They aren't there.
There is no way to deal with the Invoices they send.
The real question you ask should be"
What went right?
The answer is easily, nothing!
They try to "collect" for bogus transactions but will not communicate with their intended victims.
Has Verifone "really" acquired this "potentially" fraudulent company

Habe EaseUS Disk Copy Lifetime downgeloadet.
Kein kundenfreundliches Gebahren.

I had a very disappointing experience with 2Checkout. After going through their application process with high hopes, I received a vague rejection email that provided zero clarification about why my account was declined. Instead of offering any assistance or feedback on what I might improve, I was simply told, 'We regret that we are unable to meet your business needs.'
I understand the need for risk management, but the lack of transparency in their decision-making process is frustrating and unprofessional. Other payment providers at least offer guidance or concrete reasons when they deny applications, but 2Checkout’s approach feels dismissive. It’s incredibly disappointing to be rejected without even an opportunity to understand or address their concerns. I wouldn’t recommend this service to other small business owners who value responsiveness and support from their payment providers.

Placed an order for Bitdefender and used PayPal as the payment option.
This company apparently manages the transactions for Bitdefender, they sent me an email asking for me to upload ID and a utility bill to verify my personal details. The email was written in typewriter font and looked suspicious to me so I did some research on PayPal scams... Bitdefender itself had an article warning on PayPal scammers asking for the very things that this company requested.
Why would Verifone/2Checkout need this information? Isn't PayPal used to help prevent any issues with payment and details are already verified in the PayPal account? WHY would a cybercriminal buy Bitdefender anyways?
The customer service was nice when I called and complained but did not offer any recourse other than a refund when I mentioned that I was not going to upload those documents. We'll see how the refund goes but this company should NOT be asking for this level of personal information for an online purchase like this.

If i could have given 0 stars i would have. There verification/review team is very strict and never tells you why you've been declined/rejected. I watch at their replies here and the ones they send via email and it's the same reply they give everyone which shows they really don't care for customer service as a online payment gateway company for making themselves better to catering specifically to what the customer must change for their website/business in order to qualify. That in itself their is scam & fraud in plain view when you don't want to inform someone why you did this to them. At least tell the merchant why they were rejected so they'll know if they need to change anything to adapt to your terms and conditions. You all seriously don't want nobody join your platform if you all keep up with that disgusting way of not telling the merchant why they've been rejected. Horrible payment providers, stay away.
(Update) 2checkout just updated their reply here and it's the same ole reply just like everyone else. After 2000 reviews that maintained a low average start of 2.2 2checkout really knows how to add up to their name with the number 2. 2checkout I allready emailed you all and just by watching the other ppl in trustpilot reviews about you it says it all so please stop making people go around in circles with you and just do what is right which is tell allow people to use your platform and be informative as to why people's account are rejected because you all as I've stated care nothing in this world about customer service.
