I bought this for my husband for Christmas. Unfortunately I had not realised the heat distributor was only for gas hobs. He has had to buy a separate induction plate for £22 which is yet to arrive. My review is based on unclear marketing, and missed opportunity to offer gas friendly or induction hob friendly packages, as both plates cost £22.

I have not received my order, it's been held at customs . I have emailed 9barista well over 20 times and no response..it was a christmas gift ,an now customs will send back my order

I ordered some replacement seals for my 9Barista - I've had my machine for 3 years now and use it everyday and despite what the guidelines say I find it useful to replace them after a while, I do notice a difference in the way the different parts tighten and how the machine itself behaves and delivers better, consistent quality shots.
I was surprised at how fast the delivery was this time (last time it took about a week, this time it was delivered within two days!)
I considered buying the seal somewhere else but I couldn't find that many shops that offered the same seals and they were considerably more pricey.
This is the place to buy all your 9Barista gear and parts and I know it now!

I needed a group head o-ring, but unfortunately, 9Barista uses a non-standard and uncommon size silicone o-ring that I haven’t been able to find online or at local hardware stores. Instead of spending just a couple of dollars locally, I now have to pay for postage from England. This o-ring should be included with new units.

The coffee machine is great and makes a great creamy espresso. I really like simplicity and size of the machine. Now I can take it with me when I am travelling and have a perfect espresso at any time any where. If you are a coffee snob like I am then 9Barista just for you.

Just wow first day using the 9Barista. You won’t be disappointed. Every reason that you can think about to get the 9Barista is right. Crème de la crème.

The espresso is creamy and has flavor notes, even on my first and second try. Once I watched the 9Barista Youtube direction video, I had no problem. I have an induction stove, so it has taken longer to get to froth because I am concerned with using a higher heat setting, even with the required induction plate. I assembled everything much faster my second use, it is really quite easy because this wonder of engineering and form-follows-function espresso maker is, well, intuitive.
It is built to precision and solid. My only dislike is the plastic chimney.
