Ash is a superb teacher, he gets the best out of the students by pushing them to the highest standards, whilst the children enjoy his class which is conducted in a comfortable collegiate manner. Our child had several tutors and by far Ash was the best- our child passed all exams she applied for (Newstead, Bexley, Kent). Couldn’t recommend more highly if you are serious about your child getting into a grammar or independent school.

My daughter got into her first choice which was Newstead Woods.

We have tutored our two kids with Ash both for 11 plus exams. He has been guiding us throughout our journey wholeheartedly which has made it possible for our daughter to get into newstead and son in Olave’s. His teaching method is commendable as kids were always happy and engaged during the class. I am a great fan of his online mock exams which are a true representation of past year exam papers that he has perfected from years of experience. We also attended his revision classes and these helped us to go through every thing in a short span of time.
He has a strong grip on stage two exams as well for olaves. He has designed challenging learning material for the second stage in such a way that is easy to learn for students on their own. My son began lessons with Ash at the start of Year 5, and he gained invaluable exam skills, including strategies for tackling questions and managing exam time effectively etc. Following guidance from Ash, we worked through the key test books for 11+/13+, something we wouldn’t have been able to accomplish without Ash's support. Thank you Ash for all the support and guidance throughout the 11 plus journey. As a parent it was very hard to figure out how to approach as it is way above me. Just knowing the concepts isn't enough, specially if anyone is going for super selective Grammar and Private schools as each of those exams are quite different from each other. Ash provides his own test papers based on schools which is very helpful. At home my daughter followed the homework and I just kept an eye on them. It is very helpful if you are working and do not have time to research etc.

During the exam days he had provided additional guidance to my daughter as to how to approach those exams. He also gives pep talk and motivates children before exams in class in a fun and casual way ( which nowadays children likes to listen to).My daughter has passed exams for Tiffins, Non such, Wallington ,LEH, Notting Hills and Latymer Upper School.
My daughter today has started her secondary school in Latymer Upper School. Again I had to reach out to Ash to help me in making the right decision. We were very confused whether Grammar School or Private and I knew talking to one person will help as he provides very frank feedback ( you may or may not like it but its the truth). Ash is an excellent tutor! My daughter enjoyed his online classes. Many basic concepts were cleared which made going ahead wt harder concepts easier! I am sure all the parents would agree that the 11 plus journey is long and certainly not the easiest! We are very fortunate to have had Ash guiding us all the way during the past two years! My son has passed all the exams he has taken including Kent, Bexley and St Olaves and now has accepted an offer from out first choice, St Olaves. We are absolutely over the moon! Very proud!

My son started the 11+ tutoring with Ash when he was in Year 4. As it was during Covid, the classes were taught remotely. At the beginning I was unsure if that would be the best way. However my son really loved Ash’s online lessons and he said he actually preferred online lessons. Ash used multiple digital platforms for lessons, parental communications and online assessments, which are all highly effective! Even though as a parent, I was not able to be present in the lessons, I had nothing to worry about. The incredible progress my son has made was evident with his increased confidence in all subjects and the fantastic results from the regular assessments.

In my opinion, what makes Ash a fantastic tutor is that he sets high expectations and also sets the right level of challenge for the children. He really pushes the children to achieve their maximum potential. My son has learnt so much from him and has really enjoyed being challenged!

After passing the first stage St Olaves entry exam, my son started the master class, which was focused on the St Olaves stage 2 exam and independent school entry exams. This master class was definitely a step-up. As a teacher myself, I had to think about some of the questions! My son said the masterclass was his favourite because it was fun and challenging! He even insisted continuing with the lessons while we were on holiday abroad! He really missed the master class after it was finished!

Ash has always been a great communicator. He was available to answer any queries and especially when we were unsure about what schools to put on the list for the application. Even until now, Ash still offers support and advice for my son and he said his door is open until GCSE! What a wonderful teacher he is!

His material is one of the best part and he shared practice papers frequently which pushed kids to do practice regularly. He always connect with parents and discussed weak areas not only specific kids but as overall class so as parents can also focus on weak areas of kids. I found him flexible and strict both at the same time which I can understand as a person from teacher’s family background but difficult to understand who are bit anxious. Yes he is very particular about fees, a very quite study environment which I support due to online classes. Kids get distracted very easily so it is must to have a supportive environment.
