Great service. Aside from the undoubted quality of the product the installation team were extremely efficient and neat and importantly polite people that we were comfortable having in our home.

We had sash windows replaced in the ground floor bay, room above and bathroom, in a period property which has moved over the years, so nothing is straight, yet the finished finished product is fantastic. The materials used are high quality, from the wood to the handles and finish, Dominic paid great attention to detail throughout, and thanks to the skilled carpentry and painting we now have snug, good looking windows.

Great communication, neat and tidy and pleasant guys to have in the house. A super-reliable local company – we’ll be getting the windows at the back done later this year.

This is a really reliable company with excellent service which I have used several times now (we have many windows!). The worker, Ionut, is really good at his craft, meticulous, tidy, very friendly, very good at explaining why problems arise with sash windows and always goes the extra mile with the work. We felt completely at ease to trust the guys with the house every time. We have had horrors from cowboy tradespeople in the past so it is a great relief to be able to rely on Acorn. Thanks guys!

Although it wasn't the biggest job - fixing a broken sash cord and getting some stuck sash windows to open properly again I was really impressed by the work of the Acorn team. From the survey and quotation process through to the work itself, I felt they all cared about the job and also delivered the work to a high standard.

I was particularly grateful for their flexibility - not making me so more than I wanted to the windows - whereas some other companies seemed much more keen to only offer certain options such as draft proofing which weren't necessary.

We chose Acorn since they were local to the area, recommended on Haringey Online and are delighted with their work. We asked for double glazed wooden sash windows to be in keeping with the house. Dominic explained clearly and patiently what the work included, we were given a clear programme of working dates, which was kept to despite the vagaries of weather, communication was excellent, texted if delayed, work looks great and we have windows that open and close smoothly after 40 years of not having that!Rotten sills were also replaced. Lots of compliments from the neighbours

Acorn Sash Windows prepared a project plan with great attention to detail. Superb workmanship from their carpenter and they were very courteous onsite, the results are fabulous and better than our expectations.

We've used Acorn Sash Windows twice now - once to do retrofitted windows at the front of the house, and the most recent time to fit totally new sash windows on the back of the house.

Both times, the experience was incredibly positive - the team responds quickly to queries and everyone is friendly, polite and tidy. They do everything they can to make sure what you're getting is what you wanted and the windows they put in are beautiful. Their pricing is competitive too. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

This is the 3rd time I have used Acorn sash windows. This was the biggest project yet, with 13 windows upgrades with double glazed sashes. I was able to retain the original look of the windows but without the rotten rattling windows I had before

After approaching several sash window companies, I decided to work with Dominic and his team at Acorn Sash Windows. The quote stage was detailed and Dominic took time to evaluate the condition of our sash windows to make an accurate quote while also taking time to answer the many questions I had. The installation process was efficient, clean and well organised. The team took the time to cover everything to minimse the mess and dust and left everything clean and tidy. Excellent from start to finish. Acorn did a thorough assessment and spec for the work before the quote, and then let me know what to expect and when with a clear work plan and costs. The work itself went to plan and was done by good people to a high quality finish. Very happy to recommend them highly.

Dominic and his team provided an excellent service through difficult times. There were delays but we were always kept informed of the reason and the new timings. The team was professional, friendly and helpful. The few minor snags were quickly and effectively dealt with. The quality of the work and fittings were excellent.

From the outset we were impressed with the very conscientious and efficient approach to the work that Dominic demonstrated.All elements of the work were very clearly explained both verbally and via email.We were given a very helpful timetable for the work that was to be carried out each day and by whom which enabled us to prepare each room in advance.
The team worked hard.Their workmanship was of a very high standard.They were all polite, friendly,and respectful.They cleared up really well after each job.
Afterwards we needed a small adjustment to the hanging of the new door and also a replacement latch for one of the windows.Dominic responded promptly and came to resolve these issues without problem.

Ionut arrived on time, did an painstaking and very professional job, and cleaned up after himself beautifully. The window (replacement sashes in an upstairs bedroom) looks very well made.
We had some new sashes installed by another local firm a few years ago, but the Acorn ones are far better fitting and higher quality.

Acorn Sash Windows did an excellent job on replacing the sash windows in my front room, French doors to my kitchen and some very large French doors to my bedroom. I was impressed by their professionalism from the beginning and the quality of the work is superb. They brought in specialists for each aspect of the work and each one was reliable , and polite, and they all left the flat clean and tidy at the end of each day.
I found them to be competitive price-wise but actually were way above any of the other contractors who I got to quote on the work in terms of their communication and professional approach.

Acorn did a fantastic job on restoring a sash window. They removed an old aluminium-framed window and installed new sliding sashes with new sash cords and pulleys. The result is great. The carpenter and painter both did an excellent job, and Dominic at Acorn replied to any queries very quickly. Highly recommend.
