Unfair and unprofessional site
Terrible site, they blocked one of their top sellers without explanation or cause. This guy is an artist who shared his work with a devoted group of followers and new customers, He build a community around his ads and it was great fun. Then one day he turns down an unreasonable offer from a person and she wages a war against him creating fake accounts and complaining to adverts about him, totally unfounded and untrue. This guy is a gent and adverts in my opinion have totally dropped the ball in their high handed and unprofessional manner. I'm done with them. Awful awful moderators.

I block a new account and i get blocked. Adverts never answered me as to why so i requested a data request and removal of my account and pics. Can't be having them advertising content that can no longer be found there. Did me a favor as i now have more time for me and no more working into the early hours. Have looked at the website software the very same as adverts so who knows i might make a site but i have learned to not follow adverts rules and give people more freedom. Watch this space.

I find it very annoying that adverts treats one if it's top sellers in such an unprofessional and careless way this seller has many hundreds of positive reviews and many thousands of compliments for the outstanding work and generousity and because one individual throws their toys out of the pram because they don't get the result they desire an ad is cancelled frustrating many many loyal supporters of this man and his outstanding work. Shame on adverts for not investigating the situation professionally and throughly if this man leaves adverts so will his many supporters .. up your game Adverts
The site is full of timewasters.
The site is full of timewasters.
I pulled every ad I had on the site after 12 hours because I was inundated with timewasters looking for swaps or making unrealistic offers and listed them on ebay instead.
Never again

Used be a decent place, the last while it has become a scammers paradise, mods useless.
Mother bought what she thought was a genuine Samsung tv from some guy, turned out to be a cheap indian copy rebranded.
Caveat emptor!
time waster
Full of people without any interest to buy . Platform without any regulation and protections .

Rubbish filled with scammers with tonnes of accounts especially in the tech sections.Thieves run rampant on the site i saw one guy with 42 negatives for stealing from people and he was still allowed to trade on the site.Stay well clear of them they used to be good years ago but sank in to a deep dirty hole when Daft.ie took over the business.
They're sabotaging their own best feature
Very negative experience after several positive. The problem is that this one goes at the core of what makes this website better than the competition. You see adverts offers user feedback while donedeal doesn't. This is a measure very much like on ebay where you can gauge to some extent the trustworthiness of the user you are dealing with. You see the problem is that when you leave negative feedback (warranted and with proof), if the user is somewhat valuable for adverts they remove it without explanation. Why have a feedback if you're going to remove it when it isn't good? I've all the proof that warrants the negative feedback against a user and still adverts removes it.

Without doubt this is the best private selling website on the Irish market right now ( Vs it's closest competitors ).
You will see some negative reviews about adverts.ie here relating to users receiving negative feedback and blaming adverts.ie which is in most cases, aimed in the wrong direction. If you experience a peculiar buyer / seller when doing the transaction, it is the persons fault, not adverts.ie.
As long as you are honest as a seller, and honest as a buyer, you can utilise this site to your advantage to buy and sell pretty much anything you like.
I will continue to use the site and build my online reputation with them.
Great job Adverts.ie!
They alter feedback without your knowledge
Customer service is awful, removing negative feedback without consent or carrying out any fact finding exercise.
Here is a thought for you all, consider you leave negative feedback for a poor seller or buyer, how do you know of the negative feedback was left on their account ? Does anyone who leaves negative feedback ever go back to that sellers accounts days later to check ? Nope I’m sure you don’t. Well I did and found adverts had removed it. I have contacted them about it and they just couldn’t care a less
So here is the thing, if you Place negative feedback for a bad seller/buyer you feel that at least you are letting others know what they are like to deal with, however the seller/buyer requests adverts to remove the feedback then that’s the dodge seller/buyer happy and the author of the feedback none the wiser !!!
I used this service for years and now I would just be aswell to buy off a local hobo on the street. Adverts seriously SUCKS and there customer relations are Inadequate.

It's more like a mafia than a marketplace. Abuse GDPR big time and use for their own benefits especially low level staff. Users beware .

Worse customer service and disgusting online shopping website. No need for scammers when staff are there. BUYER SELLER BEWARE

Poor site the feedback between members is unbelievable and the staff do nothing. And anything they please they allow he sold.
My Favourite ads website
My Favourite ads website - feedback from other members is what sets it apart - makes it easy to spot the bad sellers. Good for car sales, bikes, books and furniture second hand.
Adverts has unfair policy for buyer
The staff is useless, the company comment policy is not unfair for buyer. Here is something happened to me. I found a product which I like in advert, because the only way to communicate seller is to add comment, so I left a commit to seller, could I get the product with 30% discount, then the seller blocked me.
Something I don't understand is why seller can block buyer whenever they want? Does that mean buyer not allow to bargain? does it fair for buyer?
When connect to adverts, they just can not do nothing about it. I think it is worst policy for this kinds of website.
Horribly corrupt company
If You're selling a preowned car for a …
If You're selling a preowned car for a few thousand euro I would pick ADverts.ie over donedeal anyday as Donedeal's prices have soared in recent months to a ridiculous price.
You can choose your minimum offer on the site to keep the timewasters away but they will only know the minimun offer you will take if they offer you that amount. Good way of doing it and FAR better value for money over donedeal, a THIRD of the price.
Crap service. Crap site.
Waste of time dealing with Customer Service. People get to pull deals and sell to others and then get your valid negative feedback removed. Pompous staff who are as bad as most of their customers. Avoid this site and save yourself the hassle of being treated like crap.
Full of Fraud
attempted to buy an item from a seller. one hour before i was due to meet the seller, she contacts me asking me to meet her partner instead in a different location than originally agreed. this made the entire transaction seem incredibly fraudulent. this wasn't a cheap item. the price agreed exceeded €200. it's all kinds of dodgy for a seller to not only change the meeting location but also the person that you're due to meet, particularly when it's a high targeted, expensive item. i told her no. that i would not agree to these changes. she then left me unfair, horrible feedback, claiming that i was the one who wasted her time, and then blocked me from being able to respond or contact her further. i attempted to report the seller for fraud (because clearly that's what she was trying here) and for the abusive comments. Adverts.ie's customer service agent "Stephen" decided that a seller changing the terms and conditions of a transaction apparently doesn't violate their policies (even though it clearly does), and refused to take any steps to correct the problem. At one stage, he even went so far as to lecture me on the virtues of using PayPal, as if that would have made any difference in this case. I did nothing wrong here, but I'm the one who's being punished. as a result, I have completely closed my account, and I refuse to do any business with Adverts going further. I want nothing to do with a company that clearly has so little regard for their customer's personal safety.
Was better in the past
Was better in the past, you take time posting an item for sale then get A LOT of timewasters. They should do something to bar or moderate users with negative feedback or buyers that pull out of a deal...
